It all started by accident while celebrating with the crew. It was a simple kiss after a bottle of sake, and for days after that you wondered if it was an “accident” until it happened again. Another kiss while sitting on the deck while the others were asleep. Ever since that night, you and Zoro started seeing each other, just having fun and enjoying each other’s presence. There wasn’t supposed to be feelings or commitment. It was something to destress and so things wouldn’t feel as lonely.

However, things started to feel more intimate with time, sleeping together, talking more about each other and about the past, having inside jokes or trying to find each other in the middle of a crowd. You couldn’t help showing a subtle smile whenever Zoro was around, and the green haired man couldn’t help feeling irritated seeing Sanji approaching you.

It became more than friends with benefits.

The ship docked at some island, and while the others were either exploring the place or watching the ship, you and Zoro knew it was the perfect time to spend some time together with the excuse that he wasn’t the best with directions. But for a man who turned left when he was supposed to turn right, he found the way to your heart very quickly.

You two headed to the other side of the beach, sitting under a tree and making sure no one would find you sitting on the swordsman’s lap as your lips claimed his with urgency while touching his strong chest, tracing every inch and the scars gently with your fingers. His calloused hands rested on your hips, moving to your back.

When the need to breathe was too much, you placed a kiss on the corner of his lips before looking at him in the eyes. Without even realizing, you smiled softly while rubbing your thumb on his cheek and then his scar. You were lost in thought, as if it was only you and him in the world now. You couldn’t even worry about a crewmate finding you right now.

— Why are you looking at me like this? — he whispered, still breathing heavily. — Looking as if you were in love or something.

— Because I fell for you, isn’t it obvious? — you asked in the heat of the moment, biting your lips when you realized what you just said and knowing that if he didn’t feel the same, things would be awkward from now on.

For a moment, you both stayed in complete silence if it wasn’t for the sound of the waves,the soft breeze and the birds. The mere seconds felt like an eternity waiting for him to say something. Anything.

Your heart felt like it’d jump out of your chest and you regretted letting these words leave your lips. Zoro was looking at you with his lips slightly open, surprised by your sudden and natural confession. A smirk formed on his lips, making you tilt your head and give him a questioning look.

Without saying anything, his hands gently cupped your face, pulling you into another kiss.

He nodded. The man wasn’t too in touch with his feelings, and it took him some time to figure out why he wanted to be with you more often and couldn’t stand the thought of you being with someone else. He knew, however, that it wasn’t how friends with benefits should be. Zoro could be dense, but he knew there was something more to it.

— Good. — he broke the silence. — Because I really didn’t want to fall alone.

Mirali / Ailyssa

6- What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Mirali is so completely, head-over-heels in love with Ailyssa that given the chance she legitimately probably could not pick a favorite physical feature. But while I can’t go into detail without giving away aspects of what happens in the story, she certainly appreciates Lyss’s clearheadedness and compassionate nature as a personality trait. (And also, she’s just objectively hot.)

Ailyssa is just as in love, but she’s a little more pragmatic about the whole thing, and is rather amused by Mira’s reactions to everything. Her favorite physical feature of Mira’s are her eyes- they’re extremely pale green, almost unsettlingly so, because she finds them fascinating and beautiful. 

8-Nicknames? And if so, how did they originate? 

As a general rule either of them will go by Lyss or Mira on a regular basis, but between them Mirali calls Lyss “my heart”, because Ailyssa means everything to her. It didn’t really originate in any particular way, but Lyss tries to pretend like it makes her a lot less soft than it actually does. 

In turn Lyss calls Mira doll. It began largely in retaliation to her brother Luka making snide comments about how Mirali was like Ailyssa’s “little toy” (a particularly hurtful jab, as she was a sex worker for some time and struggled to form genuine romantic attachments, and she is well aware of how manipulative she is by nature). Mira was way too dense to know what was going on, so she just thought it was cute and the nickname stuck. 

22- Who cooks more/ who is better at cooking? 

... to be perfectly honest, both of them could probably burn water given half a chance, but Mira can cook eggs occasionally, provided that you can get her to focus for more than 60 seconds straight. But since they’re often traveling with Ailyssa’s twin Luka, usually he’s the one who does the cooking.

Katyan / Atton

6-What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Katyan loves Atton’s hands. They’re big and rough and calloused, and though they’ve done things he’s not proud of she loves how gentle and soft they are with her. If they’re cuddling she’ll often intertwine their fingers, because Katyan loves holding hands and it’s the first way she showed physical affection for him. 

Atton just loves watching Katyan’s facial expressions. Although she’s generally pretty serene, he adores watching the way her eyes flit across the board as they’re playing pazaak, how her nose scrunches up when she’s frustrated, how her lips purse when she’s deep in thought. It’s these little moments that show her vulnerability, just how much she trusts him- and he treasures them. 

9- Who worries the most? 

They’re both massive worrywarts when it comes to each other, but I think that particular title would have to go to Katyan. Besides being haunted by the trauma of Malachor V and the fact that she worries she’s leading Atton and the rest of her crew to the same fate, she blames herself for Revan’s fall- fearing that by loving Atoon she’ll lead him down the same path. 

(On a lighter note, Atton is definitely the one going after Katyan with a medpac after a difficult mission- the girl just can’t seem to take care of herself.)

20- What do their family/friend’s think of their relationship? 

The Ebon Hawk crew- with the obvious exception of Kreia- pretty much all thought that their getting together was a long time in coming. 

Bao-Dur often likes to joke that now they’ve both stopped complaining about their pining to him, for which he’s eternally grateful, and Mira just likes to make fun of the pair. 

Mical is... perhaps marginally disappointed, but his relationship to Katyan was always more of a sibling-type one, and Atton is certainly nicer to him now that he’s not as insecure about he affections. 

Mandalore pretends he doesn’t care, but honestly thinks that they deserve some happiness after what they’ve all been through, while Kreia most definitely complains about it being a “distraction” at any chance she gets.
