I AM STILL; INK-BOND
The documentary's rawness leads to an interesting discovery concerning the maknaes of K-Pop groups BTS & ATEEZ

December 5, 2024 (6:01PM)
Disney Plus recently released Jungkook's documentary 'I AM STILL', which follows the vocalist through the making of 'Golden' as well as his journey to becoming a soloist with international reach. Numerous clips have been going viral on social media platforms and most of them feature the producing genius behind his new voice, who just so happens to be his best friend, ATEEZ's maknae - Himari.
"This is my partner in crime, my talented producer, my best friend and our angel voiced vocalist...Himari." Jungkook introduced when she visited him on the set of '3D'. "We've been with each other for over 11 long years."
Most instances are simply them working long hours alongside one another, walking about cities during rare moments of free time or even Jungkook accompanying the vocalist to the airport, as Korea had heavy schedules waiting for her. However, it was not the sweet maknaes bonding nor being emotional that caught the most traction but rather them enjoying some short inactivity.
While the artists relaxed in the hotel pool wearing bathing suits more revealing than they would usually be allowed on camera, the young woman's high hairstyle allowed netizens to notice a tattoo at the back of her neck - running along to the near middle of her spine. Chinese characters forming the words 'until death' are written vertically, with a black traditional dragon in the midst of them, and while searching through the man's collection it was also found that he had an almost exact copy, with the only difference being that his own is white.
The widely agreed upon speculation is that the colors represent the other person through the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang energy - which are opposites that balance one another - as Himari aligns more with Yin whilst Jungkook aligns with Yang, which are opposite to what they have inked onto their bodies. The mythical creature represents many things but due to the possibility of them having a depiction of the other, it likely stands for protection in this case - to symbolize that they will watch over their counterpart 'until death'. It is also possible that it follows a Japanese legend stating that if a koi fish successfully climbs a waterfall, it would be rewarded by the gods through bring turned into a powerful dragon - which could have been used to show their strength of character and acknowledge the hardships that they have both been through.
The ink does not seem to hold the vibrancy of a recent tattoo which means it has likely been a few years since its original creation and although very few have come to doubt the reality of their incredibly close relationship, it likely erased any semblance of suspicion. We can only hope to see more of these two friends in the coming months.

Slashers W/ a Punk S/O
T/W- q*eer is used a few times- in a positive, self affirming kind of way. But I can add other trigger warnings if needed. :)
A/n- Literally no one asked for this, but I wanted to make more HCs like the soft pastel one...so I just went wild and made them.
I included a little bit of punk culture into this as well, because it’s not just about the fashion, but since there’s such a vast variety within punk culture I mostly stuck with my experiences in the community, and some bits and pieces from documentaries(mostly live footage from “The Decline of Western Civilization”).
Characters: Billy/Stu, The Lost Boys, Norman Bates, Michael Myers
Will make one(s) for Brahms, Amanda, Helen or Daniel if asked
Billy Loomis + Stu Macher
so early 90s, the Riot Grrrl movement emerges
bands like Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Heavens to Betsy or Sleater-Kinney
it’s a very female-powered oriented movement, but I notice that a lot of minorities tend to be drawn to this music and community (LGBT folks, people of color, etc).
both boys, and yourself, being outside of the norm and all (polyamorous relationship, gay/bi) are sort of drawn to it!
and sure there’s a lot of really great queercore/homocore bands, and there’s probably a good LGBT+ punk scene out there somewhere, but in a little town like Woodsboro? Hell no. Sticking with this fem punk movement, while again mostly a space for women in music- it’s the most accepted the three of you have felt outside of you’re relationship.
you’ve always been pretty into the music, stuff like Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, or the short-lived Germs- but it wasn’t until you stumbled upon Riot Grrrl that you really got into it.
the music, making zines about local-ish political issues(probably not so much Woodsboro stuff, more Cali in general and neighboring towns) and a few ones with queer themes and hand-drawn illustrations of your partners, and DIYing all your clothes
since you’re so experienced with DIYing your clothes and sewing on patches, you’ve helped repair the Ghostface costumes on numerous occasions. they kind of adore this(Stu is the only one that will- and does, frequently- admit that)
Let’s face it, the three of you do everything together- but you especially enjoy when Stu tags along for thrift dates.
he’s the more fashionable one, and he makes the whole experience more enjoyable- cracking jokes and just being his all-around goofy self.
Woodsboro is a very little town, so they don’t have much...but they do have a few small stores- usually you’ll make a whole day/date out of it though. driving to the next town or so over, since they have more stores and a better selection, and spending hours looking for cheap, old t-shirts, belts, clothes with funky patterns. heading out for pizza after.
Billy’s more likely to get into the music and everything with you(he’s kinda,, angsty, no offense to him)- will definitely go to shows with you.
just- imagine Billy in ripped jeans. and he’d have like one or two patches sewn on to it- one of them is your all time favorite band, and the other is a band that he found on his own time, and actually really enjoyed.
Stu is dragged along with you guys, you can’t just leave him at home- he’s gonna feel left out and sad. :(
He’s mostly there to keep y’all company- he really likes the energy of the shows though!
the two of them are such a chaotic duo though, so much so that you have definitely been kicked out or banned from a few venues. all for varying reasons. good grief these men can not be tamed.
The Lost Boys
as we all know, these vampires are total punks. so they’re gonna appreciate having a s/o who’s also into that whole scene.
How you meet:
you’re a baby punk, and it’s your first show ever, and you look so nervous. you’re dressed up in pretty plain clothes, a single homemade patch for your favorite band barely hanging to your jacket side(you were mid-way sewing it, when you realized you were gonna be late if you didn’t leave asap).
it’s a few local bands, ones you’d never really heard of really. you look anxious. but when they start playing? you look so unapologetically yourself, you’re so in the moment dancing- it’s completely mesmerizing to the boys. the music isn’t even that good, but you seem to be having the time of your life.
they greet you after the show, and you’re a tiny bit flustered- cause gosh, heck, they saw you. dancing. so embarrassing.
David is the one that introduces himself and the group, and initiates conversation. Dwayne’s a pretty quiet guy, so he just listens to what you have to say.
Marko’s pretty excited about you, and initiates in some small conversation, he may have complimented your little patch(Marko- patch jacket KING, complimenting your jacket?? more likely than you’d think)
and oh, oh- Paul is out there being a total chatty-cathy, and is absolutely bombarding you with questions. like, okay, Paul is pretty talkative, but the other vamps are a little worried that he’s scared you off. and you had seemed so cool :(
you end up pretty engaged in your convo with Paul though, even if all the attention is overwhelming. He ends up snagging a date for the five of you the following week.
once you start hanging out/dating:
y’all just hit it off so well those first few days. they all love how sweet & shy you are- but also how much of a badass punk babe you are.
Marko helps make your patch jacket(collecting ones for bands you enjoy, how to make your own, sewing them on, etc). you probably could have done it w/out his help, but my gosh- you weren’t going to pass up this opportunity. Marko gets really soft around you sometimes, since he doesn’t really do this activity with anyone else, it’s saved for you. 🥺🥺
Dwayne likes listening to you talking about the local scene(outside of the shows you go to- mostly about stuff he can’t attend, protests and meetings during the daylight.)
all of them(especially David) are very protective of you. I mean, generally. but also when you go to shows. they let you do whatever the heck you’re gonna do, but the mere second that someone even thinks about starting shit w/ you?? well, y’know. those vampire instincts kick in.
the four of them obviously share a lot of similar tastes in music- but they all have different favorite bands, & fave parts of the community. which, they can’t even fully participate in,, but it’s okay.
they, individually, introduce their favorite bands to you. and they get it in their head that oh, they said they liked it. they must like it as much as I do. and awkwardly coming out to the four of them, as they argue about your favorite band, “Well, actually- this *insert band they’ve never heard of or barely listen to* is my favorite.” and their just kinda like, oh, okay. please tell us more about them.
so it’s sorta like,, you’ve been learning all this cool knowledge from them, now you get to share cool knowledge with them.
idk. I think it’s cute. 💕
Norman Bates
so first off- let’s just pretend Psycho was in at least the 70s/80s for a moment. because realistically- the punk subculture didn’t really exist back then.
baby boy is absolutely fascinated by the way you dress (mother is less thrilled though)
imagine your jacket is getting a bit weathered, and needs some repairs- so he helps you to sew edges closed, and make sure the patches aren’t on too loose, etc
he enjoys hearing your stories of all the past shows you’ve gone to. you always get so excited about them, and he finds that so endearing. But he pretty much leaves the actual punk scene to you because of these stories.
he was already worried from the stories, and made sure you were well prepared for any trouble every time you left for a show.
but one time, you were able to get him to join you. never again though. he was so nervous!
the music was too loud! and he could hardly understand what they were saying- it was so confusing!
you stayed with him most of the night, standing near the back, holding his hand. he’d gently bob his head to the music occasionally.
but you accidentally found yourself swept into the crowd, but you looked so blissed-out in the moment, that he figured it would be okay for you to dance* over there for a little bit...right?
*Norman is still unsure if you’d even call that dancing.
Thankfully, nothing bad happened in the mosh pit.
you gotta give him lots of attention and reassurance afterwards though- you almost scared Norman half to death D:
He’s happy enough helping you out and listening to you though- and that’s okay for you, too. you still love each other lots, even if this particular interest doesn’t overlap.
Michael Myers
he thinks you’re outfits are pretty interesting.
he’s a little worried at first, when you start experimenting with putting things like safety pins in your ears. cause like- that’s not supposed to be in your ear, Y/n, what the fuck
if you make zines at all, Michael really enjoys watching you make the illustrations for them(not that he’ll admit to it though), and helps to find newspaper and magazine clippings to incorporate into the spreads.
you always show michael the final booklet before distributing it
he doesn’t talk a lot, so he doesn’t ask questions- but he often does the little head tilt once you give it to him. since he’s not very privy to current events, and a lot of your zines are political, you spend a lot of time explaining them in depth.
he has no use for any of this knowledge, but he listens on, intently.
Important note:
dear god do not bring this man to concerts and local shows with you.
it is a nightmare, to say the least
Michael is sort of,, emotionless sometimes, doesn’t really care for people at all, and if he does? definitely not in the same way most people do.
so imagine combining that part of michael, the fact that he’s also a giant stabby man, with super loud, energetic- almost aggressive- sounding music and a bunch of strangers that aren’t respecting any personal boundaries.
you need to keep him at the back of the venue- lest your local scene may go missing.

Starwoids (2001)

I’m going to be generous with Starwoids. It’s an independently made documentary about the most hardcore of Star Wars fans during a particularly important time in the series: the months preceding the 1999 release of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Is it a great film? No. Is it interesting? Yes. It’s a nice little DVD you can place next to the saga to generate some conversation.
The first thing you need to know is that the DVD cover doesn’t lie… but it exaggerates hardcore "Star Wars" fan Kevin Smith’s involvement in this project. He never appears on-camera and narrates… the first 30-seconds of the film. That’s it. This doc is about the people who decided that they wanted to be first in line at the Mann’s Village and Chinese theaters. You won’t see any clips of the movie or celebrities, and even for a documentary, it's a low-budget production.
The most interesting aspect of Starwoids is the way it will make you feel. I found myself going back-and-forth on the people it documents. Waiting in line for 42 days to see anything is insane. Even with the numerous lackluster chapters in the franchise, I still like “Star Wars” a lot. I think just about everyone who likes movies should see the original trio at the very least. I get that being there in 1999 was an experience, that people had been waiting 16 years for the next chapter… but it’s not like the film was only playing the one time and would never get released on home video afterward. On the other hand, the film makes some good points about this level of fandom. So what if you spend 6 weeks waiting in line? Who's it hurting? In fact, a group of people waiting in line raised thousands of dollars for a charity. They had a blast. It’s an experience they’ll never forget and forever treasure. Who is anyone to judge their behavior when they’re freely admitting no one else should go to the lengths they did?
It's a disappointment that Starwoids doesn’t really convey how big the film was during its initial release. I know people were excited. You don’t pay the admission price to see a movie just because a trailer to "The Phantom Menace" is playing before it, and then leave before the main event even starts... but what about the rest of the world? I could have done without the fruitless voyage to Skywalker Ranch and would've appreciated some box office receipts, shots of the merchandise associated with the picture, or images of the characters dominating everything from fast-food restaurants to children’s clothing stores. You get somewhat of an idea of who the people involved are, what they had to deal with when it came to their collections of action figures, but you'll want more.
I'll give Starwoids a mild recommendation. It’s a curiosity and I’m certain that it won’t be director Dennis Przywara’s best work, but I’m glad I saw it. If you were alive when The Phantom Menace was released, you'll be able to fill in some of this doc’s gaps, allowing you to have a nice internal conversation about whether this level of excitement is futile or a once-in-a-lifetime treasure. (On DVD, April 4, 2016)

Theda Bara (born Theodosia Burr Goodman; July 29, 1885 – April 7, 1955) was an American silent film and stage actress.
Bara was one of the more popular actresses of the silent era and one of cinema's early sex symbols. Her femme fatale roles earned her the nickname "The Vamp" (short for vampire),[a] later fueling the rising popularity in "vamp" roles that encapsulated exoticism and sexual domination. Bara made more than 40 films between 1914 and 1926, but most were lost in the 1937 Fox vault fire. After her marriage to Charles Brabin in 1921, she made two more feature films and then retired from acting in 1926, never appearing in a sound film.
Bara was born Theodosia Burr Goodman on July 29, 1885 in the Avondale section of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was named after the daughter of US Vice President Aaron Burr. Her father was Bernard Goodman (1853–1936), a prosperous Jewish tailor born in Poland. Her mother, Pauline Louise Françoise (née de Coppett; 1861–1957), was born in Switzerland. Bernard and Pauline married in 1882. Theda had two younger siblings: Marque (1888–1954) and Esther (1897–1965), who also became a film actress under the name of Lori Bara.
Bara attended Walnut Hills High School, graduating in 1903. After attending the University of Cincinnati for two years, she worked mainly in local theater productions, but did explore other projects. After moving to New York City in 1908, she made her Broadway debut the same year in The Devil.
Most of Bara's early films were shot along the East Coast, where the film industry was centered at that time, primarily at the Fox Studios in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Bara lived with her family in New York City during this time. The rise of Hollywood as the center of the American film industry forced her to relocate to Los Angeles to film the epic Cleopatra (1917), which became one of Bara's biggest hits. No known prints of Cleopatra exist today, but numerous photographs of Bara in costume as the Queen of the Nile have survived.
Between 1915 and 1919, Bara was Fox studio's biggest star; but, tired of being typecast as a vamp, she allowed her five-year contract with Fox to expire. Her final Fox film was The Lure of Ambition (1919). In 1920, she turned briefly to the stage, appearing on Broadway in The Blue Flame. Bara's fame drew large crowds to the theater, but her acting was savaged by critics.
Her career suffered without Fox studio's support, and she did not make another film until The Unchastened Woman (1925) for Chadwick Pictures. Bara retired after making only one more film, the short comedy Madame Mystery (1926), made for Hal Roach and directed by Stan Laurel, in which she parodied her vamp image.
At the height of her fame, Bara earned $4,000 per week (the equivalent of over $56,000 per week in 2017 adjusted dollars). Bara's better-known roles were as the "vamp", although she attempted to avoid typecasting by playing wholesome heroines in films such as Under Two Flags and Her Double Life. She appeared as Juliet in a version of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Although Bara took her craft seriously, she was too successful as an exotic "wanton woman" to develop a more versatile career.
The origin of Bara's stage name is disputed; The Guinness Book of Movie Facts and Feats says it came from director Frank Powell, who learned Theda had a relative named Barranger, and that Theda was a childhood nickname. In promoting the 1917 film Cleopatra, Fox Studio publicists noted that the name was an anagram of Arab death, and her press agents, to enhance her exotic appeal to moviegoers, falsely promoted the young Ohio native as "the daughter of an Arab sheik and a French woman, born in the Sahara." In 1917, the Goodman family legally changed its surname to Bara.
Bara was known for wearing very revealing costumes in her films. Such outfits were banned from Hollywood films after the Production Code (a.k.a. the Hays Code) started in 1930, and then was more strongly enforced in 1934. It was popular at that time to promote an actress as mysterious, with an exotic background. The studios promoted Bara with a massive publicity campaign, billing her as the Egyptian-born daughter of a French actress and an Italian sculptor. They claimed she had spent her early years in the Sahara desert under the shadow of the Sphinx, then moved to France to become a stage actress. (In fact, Bara never had been to Egypt, and her time in France amounted to just a few months.) They called her the "Serpent of the Nile" and encouraged her to discuss mysticism and the occult in interviews. Some film historians point to this as the birth of two Hollywood phenomena: the studio publicity department and the press agent (later evolving into the public relations person).
A 2016 book by Joan Craig with Beverly F. Stout chronicles many personal, first-hand accounts of the lives of Theda Bara and Charles Brabin. It reveals a great dichotomy between Theda Bara's screen persona and her real-life persona. Included are Bara's surprised responses to the critical reactions to her screen portrayals from a sector of the community. The author was befriended by Theda Bara and Charles Brabin beginning when she was a young girl. Craig's photographic-like memory paints an important picture of how they lived, where they lived, and what they said and did, even to the point of describing in great detail most of the rooms of their house. The book describes how Bara, who learned pattern making and wig making from her mother and father, designed and created most of the costumes and gowns she wore in her films, including the striking costumes she wore in Cleopatra.
Bara married British-born American film director Charles Brabin in 1921. They honeymooned at The Pines Hotel in Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada, and later purchased a 400-hectare (990-acre) property down the coast from Digby at Harbourville, Nova Scotia, overlooking the Bay of Fundy, eventually building a summer home they called Baranook.[15] They had no children. Bara resided in a villa-style home in Cincinnati, which served as the "honors villa" at Xavier University. Demolition of the home began in July 2011.
In 1936, she appeared on Lux Radio Theatre during a broadcast version of The Thin Man with William Powell and Myrna Loy. She did not appear in the play but instead announced her plans to make a movie comeback, which never materialized. She appeared on radio again in 1939 as a guest on Texaco Star Theatre.
In 1949, producer Buddy DeSylva and Columbia Pictures expressed interest in making a movie of Bara's life to star Betty Hutton, but the project never materialized.
On April 7, 1955, after a lengthy stay at California Lutheran Hospital in Los Angeles, Bara died there of stomach cancer. She was survived by her husband Charles Brabin, her mother, and sister Lori. She was interred as Theda Bara Brabin at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
Bara often is cited as the first sex symbol of the film era.
For her contributions to the film industry, Bara received a motion pictures star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Her star is located at 6307 Hollywood Boulevard.
Bara never appeared in a sound film, lost or otherwise. A 1937 fire at Fox's nitrate film storage vaults in New Jersey destroyed most of that studio's silent films. Bara made more than 40 films between 1914 and 1926, but complete prints of only six still exist: The Stain (1914), A Fool There Was (1915), East Lynne (1916), The Unchastened Woman (1925), and two short comedies for Hal Roach.
In addition to these, a few of her films remain in fragments, including Cleopatra (just a few seconds of footage), a clip thought to be from The Soul of Buddha, and a few other unidentified clips featured in the documentary Theda Bara et William Fox (2001). Most of the clips can be seen in the documentary The Woman with the Hungry Eyes (2006). As to vamping, critics stated that her portrayal of calculating, cold-hearted women was morally instructive to men. Bara responded by saying "I will continue doing vampires as long as people sin." Additional footage has been found which shows her behind the scenes on a picture. While the hairstyle has led some to theorize that this may be from The Lure of Ambition, this has not been confirmed.
In 1994, she was honored with her image on a U.S. postage stamp designed by caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. The Fort Lee Film Commission dedicated Main Street and Linwood Avenue in Fort Lee, New Jersey as "Theda Bara Way" in May 2006 to honor Bara, who made many of her films at the Fox Studio on Linwood and Main.
Over a period of several years, filmmaker and film historian Phillip Dye reconstructed Cleopatra on video. Titled Lost Cleopatra, the full-length feature was created by editing together production-still picture montages combined with the surviving film clip. The script was based on the original scenario with modifications derived from research into censorship reports, reviews of the film, and synopses from period magazines. Dye screened the film at the Hollywood Heritage Museum on February 8, 2017.

Lil Peep: Everybody’s Everything
As those of you know my OCD w music runs deep and I go through intense periods obsessing over one artist at time. I am like years behind my fellow gen Z pals and so I am just now discovering Lil peep. And so for the past month I think I have gone through every piece of music lil peep has produced from start to finish. I am just as surprised as you are. That being said I was so psyched to watch this doc. I saw that it premiered at SXSW and Terrence Malik was an executive producer which is just *chefs kiss*. It got a fucking 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and averaged 73% on IMBd and Metacritic .. but Jesus Christ was that misleading. Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Lil Peep — I think he is deeply talented and creative and the doc did a good job highlighting that .. but maybe a lil too much. I will actually start of by saying that a lot of things in this doc touched me — how they destigmatized those who take a less traditional path after high school; how they really emphasized the unwaveringly loving and supportive relationship between Lil Peep and his grandpa; lil peep’s genuine good-heartedness and commitment to his friends and family; his rigor and tenacity in transcending the capitalist hierarchy of the music industry with his DIY approach to music coming from a less privileged family... like I really really admire him. Im rambling but in all seriousness the doc was fucked up. Fucked up. His avid drug addiction was glorified to a stupidly obvious extent: he was always “going hard” and “pushing the limits” in efforts of always “out-drugging” his friends — like what, you want to give him a fucking award? His lousy manager, Bryant Ortega, spoke so fondly about Peep throughout the doc but was pictured multiple times as more of a paparazzi than a fucking manager — taking pictures of Lil peep and his squad railing numerous lines of coke while sipping on lean. At one point in the doc there was footage of Lil Peep performing a show in LA when he had taken too much of something. He tells his managers he might not be able to go on yet he does ... a fucking lawyer says on camera that he was “worried whether or not Lil Peep would be able to find the stage” yet they do nothing and encourage him to go on. There he is shown on the stage, barely mumbling the words to “Hellboy” and taking sporadic breaks to put him head in his elbow ... meanwhile instead of grabbing this kid off the stage and putting him in a fucking ambulance his management team is huddled in the the wings of the stage, egging him on and debating whether or not they should call in a fake fire alarm to cancel the show. This is happening as Lil Peep sings his songs of depression, anxiety, and loneliness — everyone hates me but nobody knows me; looking for a reason to live but I can’t find shit; everything hurts, everything gets worse. That’s some really dark irony and it doesn’t stop there... These fucking bottom feeders of a management team flood the stage with fog to hide Lil peep as he become increasingly despondent and dissociative ... it was so fucking hard to watch this. But alas, Peep snaps out of his drug-induced daze and finishes the show seamlessly... and afterwards goes up to a talent lawyer at the show and says “see I told you I could do it.” The next clip features the lawyer astounded by Lil Peep’s performance along with the constellation of talent agents and scouts who attended that show ... oh great, another lost, vulnerable artist who was never taught how to handle fame... I kept on waiting for a comment from someone, anyone proclaiming their worry for lil peep’s drug abuse and mental health but not a single one ever came. Multiple clips in the same vein followed the lawyers comment — different management team members commending Lil Peep for basically not dying. Haza, another successful show manipulating and capitalizing off a deeply depressed, troubled young artist. These people are fucking sick — acting like role models and fostering a “trustworthy” relationship with lil peep built on the basis of manipulation disguised as devotion — they didn’t care about Lil peep but they sure did fool him by providing the tools and substances notorious for self destruction while entirely ignoring his well-being and denying his paralyzing misery which were the main theme of his lyrics. ISNT YOUR JOB TO LISTEN TO HIS SONGS? OH AND MAYBE THE LYRICS? Get a fucking grip. I utterly believe these people knew what they were doing to lil peep and chose their deranged careers over someone’s life. I hope to fuckijg god these people don’t have children but I’m pretty sure some of them do. Six months later Lil Peep was announced dead after taking a lethal amount of fentanyl laced. Snapchat and instagram videos are shown in the doc of Lil Peep passed out, unconscious in the background — his head entirely arched back and his body limp. Over the span of what was said to be 4-5 hours, not one person even thought to check on him. The interviews that follow these heartbreaking clips are just an amalgamation of lies, denial, ignorance, and palpable inauthenticity— his fake friends and scum of the earth management team either deny the “conspiracy” behind his death, lie through their teeth in their “oblivion” to peep’s drug problem and depression, or project falsified grief. Dude like all these idiots interviewed for the doc talk ab how Peep never expressed his grief or depression... COULD HAVE JUST ONE OF YOU FOUND YOUR DAMN VOICE ??? I mean you sure did to ask Peep for drugs and money you fucking leeches. If someone would have just expressed the tiniest hint of grief, the tiniest bit of remorse in not speaking up or expressing their concern maybe Lil Peep would still b here today and this god awful, tone deaf documentary wouldn’t exist. What’s even worse is that these people are still profiting off Lil Peep — through this doc, through all of the demos and songs that were released after his death. It’s so funny (really actually not funny at all in the slightest) that Peep’s manager Bryant Ortega rambles about how as a celebrity you can snap your fingers and get anything you want: “girls, blow, booze”... (Thank u Sam for stating how girls were put on the same level as cocaine and alcohol) .. anyways yeah that statement seems to be limited to self destructive substances and empty material items. How bout some therapy? Ever heard of in-patient or out-patient? Psychiatry? This doc Obviously really upset me. Watching Lil peep self-sabotage through his inability to say no, over-generosity with his time and money, and emotional labor in maintaining falsified companionships was so heartbreaking. Really seemed like such a genuinely sweet kid who deserved a longer, much more fruitful and a much better support system instead of a fleet of clout chasers. Agh this all just really didn’t sit well with me. Rip lil peep

“ONE MONTH AGO, HBO AIRED AN EXPLOSIVE ‘DOCUMENTARY’CALLED ‘LN’, WHICH TOLD HORRIFIC STORY OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE BY TWO ACCUSERS OF THE POP ICON MICHAEL JACKSON. IN THE AFTERMATH OF ITS PREMIERE, WHICH WAS ALMOST UNIVERSALLY EMBRACED BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA, I WROTE THREE DIFFERENT STORIES, INCLUDING ONE WHICH INCLUDED INTERVIEWS WITH IMPORTANT SUBJECTS THE MOVIE IGNORED, CASTING DOUBT ON WHETHER THE FILM REALLY SHOULD BE TAKEN AS MOSTLY OR EVEN PARTLY FACTUAL.
Since then, the production (LN) has been found to have numerous substantive problems, and its narrative is now filled with significant holes. But strangely, while the tabloid press in the United Kingdom has been all over the movie’s implosion, there has been a complete blackout of these developments in the news media here in the United States.
The revelation which has gotten the most attention (it has been featured in at least three of the major U.K. tabloids), deals with the story of the accuser James Safechuck, who was originally presumed to be the more credible of the two alleged victims. It centers on Safechcuk’s detailed claim in the movie that he was forced to have sex with Jackson, in the second floor of the train station at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
In the film and in his lawsuit deposition, Safechuck says, under oath, that his abuse by Jackson ended in 1992, when he was about 14 years old. A huge part of the movie’s narrative is that Jackson lost sexual interest in these boys when they reached the age of 14, supposedly because that is when puberty hit (though the average white American boy currently begins puberty at around ten years old).
However, there is now a huge problem with Safechuck’s allegation. Because the construction on the train station building, which was not commenced until late 1993, wasn’t completed until mid-1994, and after that time, Jackson, who had just gotten married to Lisa Marie Presley, was rarely even at Neverland for the next several years (about 2).
This suggests that Safechuck, based on his own testimony, and the film’s most prominent premise, made up the story about being abused in the train house. This would be problematic for anyone who has no corroboration for their dramatic claims, and who finally came forward to sue 21 years after their abuse, but given the remarkably wide latitude which abuse claims are given, especially in the #MeToo era, it would hardly be devastating on its own.
But that radically changed when the movie’s director Dan Reed, who has been effectively acting as the PR director for the massive lawsuit these accusers have against Jackson’s estate, inexplicably poured gasoline on a brushfire. Instead of simply saying Safechuck was mistaken (which would have only been seen as rather strange), Reed decided that Safechuck had indeed been abused in the train house, but his star victim had just gotten the year very wrong.
Except that explanation simply doesn’t work, and it causes enormous portions of Reed’s film to go down in flames. Even if we concede that Safechuck was just mistaken about the train house episode, occurring at the start of the abuse (which he says began in 1988), at earliest Safechuck is at least a mature 16-years-old by the time it was built.
So, according to the movie’s own director, Safechuck lied under oath, lied in the film, and his abuse at 16-years-old, at which time he was clearly well past puberty and even larger than Jackson, blows apart the project’s entire theory of how and why Jackson supposedly only preferred the company of very young boys. But as much as this episode brings suspicion to the credibility of the research and testimony behind Leaving Neverland, it is really only a piece of a much large puzzle.
Here are just some of the other recent revelations which, in a rational world, would have the American news media thoroughly revisiting the claims at the center of this movie:
• The other accuser, Wade Robson, asserts in the film that he was first abused by Jackson when left alone with him, as his family went on a trip to the Grand Canyon. However, his mother, Joy Robson, a central figure in this saga, testified under oath twice, including well after Wade finally announced that he had been abused, indicating that Wade was actually on that trip with his family (it should also be noted that a radio interview Joy did in 2011, which casts further doubt on other aspects of Wade’s timeline, was just recently mysteriously removed from YouTube).
• It was revealed that Joy not only remained part of a Michael Jackson fan group on Facebook, well after her son went on the Today Show in 2013 to announce that he was abused, but that she had “liked” several pro-Jackson posts way after that event. Then, within hours of someone tweeting about this discovery, those “likes” suddenly disappeared.
• The movie tries desperately to explain why Robson was Jackson’s star witness at his 2005 criminal trial, and attempts to spin a narrative that a pensive dinner at Neverland influenced his decision to lie on Jackson’s behalf (which is strange because he also claims he didn’t know yet that he had actually been abused). However, people who were at the dinner say they are sure that it occurred after Robson’s testimony, not before.
• Robson testified in his lawsuit that he realized he was abused while in therapy, in May of 2012. However, there is an interview with Robson which was posted to YouTube, in July of 2012 where he is still speaking of Jackson with very high praise.
• Stephanie Safechuck, mother of James, who was exceedingly close to Jackson, is shown in the movie describing in detail how she celebrated learning the news of Jackson’s death (which she says happened as she awoke in bed, even though Jackson died in the afternoon in LA where she lived) because he could no longer abuse any children. However, since James has said numerous times that he only realized that he was abused when he saw Robson on the Today show (four years after Jackson’s death) and had never told anyone at all about it, it would require time travel for his mother not to have totally made up that story, with some rather poor acting.
• In an attempt to promote the narrative that the evil Jackson PR machine can and will destroy anyone claiming to be a victim of the pop star, Reed blatantly used a clip of one-time Jackson attorney Mark Geragos totally out of context. Then, making matters even worse, Reed responded to Geragos’ anger over the editing ploy by exposing that he clearly had not done even the slightest research into an event he had featured in his film !
• So, why is it that none of this has gained any media traction here in the United States, even though it has in the United Kingdom? There appear to be at least three explanations :
– FIRST, attention spans here are shorter and ‘LN’, especially in the Donald Trump era, is already considered “old news”;
– SECOND, the strategic use of Oprah Winfrey to sanctify these accusers as legitimate carries far great weight in the American media, where she is still revered and feared;
– THIRDLY, the impact of the #MeToo movement having radically altered the rules for how we evaluate such stories is much more pronounced here.
Of course, none of this remotely justifies the American media taking a dive on this story. And, just because they have, it doesn’t mean that Leaving Neverland is at all based in truth.”

Becoming a Voice Over Artist
Voice over is a business that can be very unfavorable to the inexperienced. If you cannot take beneficial critique, if you're eager, if you dislike to lose, if you can't manage being rejected, then these characteristics will not function in your benefit when seriously considering becoming a voice over specialist. To begin with, the competitors is intense. At the top of the food sequence are the partnership voice stars, then the separate professional self-contractors, and lastly all of the beginners or "wannabes" looking to make some fast cash. The world wide web is soaked with the latter, which is regrettable. Particularly for the knowledgeable skills who endeavor to have an ordinary. Most experts have their own websites in order to enhance themselves on the internet. There are also the numerous skills private Swedish Voice Artist pools, many of which charge for account on their websites. Addition into the more identified "voice banks" is like trying to be a part of an unique team. Very few are chosen for entrance. The same goes for the top skills organizations. Unless you can complete a specific "hole" they may have, you will be went by in a pulse rate. In addition to they're first responsibility is to provide to those already showed. Unsatisfying as it may audio, looking for reflection can lead to many deceased finishes. Even if you are unique enough to be authorized by a company, they will only do so much for you with regards to tryouts and getting you're working.

Therefore, the way to any success in the voice over market includes a ton of self-promotion. First of all you should have your own web page, where prospective customers can pay attention to your voice over routines. This also shows that you are genuine and authentic. Anyone can create a voice over page in public press, or publish a video representing yourself as a voice specialist, which are routes of least level of resistance with regards to cost. Spending for a subscription with a well known voice over web page could be an additional choice. In these cases, one would have to try out for voice over tasks published by voice hunters, some of which may not be efficient or efficient. There's a level of risk engaged since there are no assures of obtaining perform. Levels of account can also cause a problem when it comes to getting the same quality brings as the biggest level. Registering for a information is free on a number of voice over websites, but eventually paying a fee is required to try out through them. Self-promotion also requires calling manufacturing companies who have used separate voice skills on their tasks. Writing a blog is another choice. Delivering e-mails introducing your services to companies who enhance is still another choice. Social networking through public press too. Purchasing AdWords could be another way to go, and many are already taking that path. In any event, getting your name out there should be most of your objective.
Be ready for competitors once you've recognized a level of on the internet existence. You will be going up against many of the big weapons who are continuously desired after by the same customers. Lot of money may function in your benefit though and you'll get a paying gig within a few days, or a few hours of your site being frequented and your routines found and observed, or it may take much longer based on requirement and what you offer with regards to skills. Finding new types of voice over perform is difficult, but not difficult thanks on the internet which gets to around the world. International can be a great resource for voice over tasks, but prepare yourself for possible interaction holes, unless you talk twelve 'languages'. United states voice over stars are highly desired after across it however, so this could be a route to engage in. The UK, Indian, Chinese suppliers, the Holland, and Asia have all used United states British discussing comments. Possibilities are, if you have reasonable on the internet look for results positioning for some of the important voice over keywords, you'll be approached by overseas voice hunters. Potential tasks include separate movies, major and small activities, wedding video clips, movement, stereo picture, documentaries, and business websites to list a few. Question now is, how do you evaluate to the competition? Do you audio believable? You can't audio like you're studying. Appearing like an announcer, unless particularly asked for, can also be your pitfall. Having an in-depth voice isn't always an advantage either. Currently there seems to be a pattern of bending towards more college age comments, but the discussing, natural audio victories out regularly. The storyteller, "guy next door" strategy is undoubtedly in the biggest requirement today. It's not as easy as it appears to be, and requires the ability to act, or to "pretend" to audio authentic, honest, and genuine.

Dickheads of the Month: January 2019
As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of January 2019 to make sure that they are never forgotten.
It seems that Rachel Riley is quite smart at maths but a complete moron at anything else, what with her accusing Noam Chomsky of antisemitism in spite of the fact that Chomsky is a little bit Jewish, before following it up by encouraging her far-right Twitter followers to dogpile onto anyone voicing different opinions to her - which mainly involved a 16-year old girl bearing the brunt of it. However she wasn’t finished there, as when she was rightly being criticised for encouraging her followers to dogpile onto people she then went whinging to the press about being bullied by left-wing trolls before announcing she needed personal security for when she was attending Countdown tapings, which sounds uncannily similar to the same stunt Laura Kuenssberg pulled a couple of years ago
Starting the year with a bang we had Chris Grayling first try and defend the Seaborne Freight farce by saying he was supporting up-and-coming British business (while omitting the parts about them being owned by the brother of a significant Tory donor, or not having any ships or trading history, let alone the fact the contract wasn’t even put out to tender) and followed that up by claiming the rail fare hikes are entirely the fault of the unions and definitely nothing to do with shareholder dividends or years of rail services taking the piss with fare hikes on January 2nd every year. Of course, Grayling being Grayling, he also helped out the Britait debate by saying that a second referendum shouldn’t take place because if the result came back in support of Remain it would go against The Will Of The People™ - which apparently said people willingly voting to remain wouldn’t be
It didn't help Grayling that those checking the Seaborne Freight website found that their Ts & Cs were from the template used when setting up a website for a takeaway food outlet, the timetable for services was blank (and, for some reason, in Latin), while their privacy page had forgotten that the fields marked [Business Name] are supposed to be filled with the name of the business using the website
Overly sensitive snowflake Piers Moron Morgan spent a hell of a lot of time and energy yelling from the rooftops how appalling it was that Greggs are selling vegan sausage rolls, which is apparently the downfall of humanity as we know it and definitely not the hourly cry for attention from an attention-seeking lunatic - and while some claimed it was a stunt because he and Greggs share a PR agency, that theory appears to have been ever so slightly undermined by him then spouting off about McDonalds selling vegan Happy Meals
It’s funny how James Goddard demonstrated just how much of a difference a day makes, with him threatening Anna Soubry and Owen Jones on January 7th and bellowing at police officers that if they so much as touched him he’d start a a war...yet on January 8th he was bawling his eyes out on Twitter because his Facebook and PayPal accounts had been terminated
Lying (through his teeth) in front of a tractor Boris Johnson claimed he never mentioned Turkey at any point during the EU Referendum campaign - and when confronted with his numerous comments about Turkish immigrants flocking into the UK if the country voted Remain by Channel 4 journalist Michael Crick, he ran away to hide like an utter coward
Proving that gaslighting is the in thing at the BBC, Director General Tony Hall stated in an interview with the Financial Times that there is no need to discipline Andrew Neil for referring to Carole Cadwalladr as a “mad cat woman” as he had apologised - except for the fact that, while it may be plausible that Neil apologised to the BBC, there has not been a public apology for his comments
Sticking with the BBC, it took just two editions of Question Time before Fiona Bruce showed her true colours as she spent ten minutes making jokes about Diane Abbott (including suggesting that she only became Shadow Home Secretary because she once slept with Jeremy Corbyn) prior to one edition which Abbott was a guest on, and for the remainder of the episode constantly talked over Abbott while letting the other guests speak uninterrupted, including allowing Isabel Oakeshott to not just make a patently false statement but use said patently false statement to attack Abbott. It wasn’t helped that when the BBC finally got around to admitting fault almost two weeks later, their statement actually said it was a joke - you know, like the school bully tries to claim when they get caught
Oh boy, there were so many triggered manbabies were up in arms about a Gillette advert for suggesting that maybe, just maybe, being a toxic dickhead isn’t any way to behave - to which they responded by acting like a bunch of toxic dickheads throwing a temper tantrum all over social media not seen since Nike featured Colin Kaepernick in an ad campaign
I’m going to assume AnonymousQ1776 thought they were being really, really clever when posting that video clip of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez coupled with their sneering comment that made them sound uncannily like a teenage edgelord who doesn't know what communism is but throws the word around a lot. I’m also going to assume they weren’t happy when the stunt backfired on them by not only making Ocasio-Cortez look like a normal human being who does normal things, but doing so also reopened the can of worms about what Brett Kavanaugh was up to when he was younger...
Middle England’s favourite edgelord Rod Liddle obviously needed to be extra quote-unquote provocative this month after using his column in The Sun to suggest that what Britain needs is a new political party that represents traditional values - which means neither Muslims nor the entire LGBT spectrum are not allowed
Just when you thought John Humphreys couldn’t sound any more like a pompous windbag with the credibility of a arthritic toad, he only goes to suggest that the Republic of Ireland should rejoin the UK - because who gives a toss about centuries of history or the minor inconvenience of 92% of irish people preferring to remain in the EU when Radio 4′s most jumped-up presenter suggests they swallow their pride and return to the warm chokehold of the British Empire?
It appeared The Daily Star had a real scoop when they printed an interview with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in which he made scathing comments about the “snowflake generation” and how they were “looking for reasons to be offended” - that is until Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson issued a statement saying that not only did he not say those things, but he also never gave that interview
It seems The Board of Deputies of British Jews never got around to reading The Crucible judging by their going Full Baddiel and accusing Tottenham fans of antisemitism and, in the same statement, said they should follow the model of Chelsea fans - yes, the same Chelsea fans who have subjected Spurs fans to songs about Hitler and gas chambers for decades, who just so happen to be under investigation by UEFA for their anti semitic chanting during a Europa League match against Vidi in December
This month’s worst case of Trump Derangement Syndrome comes from Sarah Huckabee Sanders after she said that God wanted Donald Trump to become President in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network
Lucky for Lara Kollab there’s nothing in the hippocratic oath forbidding being an anti semitic bigot on Twitter. On the other hand, there certainly was in the employment contract at the hospital she worked at, which is why they fired her
Somehow the British Army paid £1.5m on an recruitment ad campaign that was so successful that it led to members of the army quitting when finding out their photos were used to recruit “Snow flakes" (sic) and “Me me me millennials” - but that didn’t stop Gavin Williamson claiming it was “a powerful call to action” (rather than “bloody patronising”) while James Cleverly mouthed off like an idiot on Twitter in support because mouthing off like an idiot on Twitter is all that somebody who makes their surname fair game on a regular basis like James Cleverley knows how to do
It took a while but Jake Paul finally found a way to reclaim his crown of Most Odious Paul Brother by hitting upon a loot box scheme to encourage his viewers to, in effect, gamble - because apparently he (and Ricegum) only paid attention to the part where the likes of Electronic Arts were making money hand over fist when they were shoving loot boxes in all their games, but didn’t bother listening when various gambling commissions began looking into the practise
To prove my point James Cleverly took it upon himself to take to Twitter and sneer “You do realise that it’s not a documentary” when I, Daniel Blake was airing on TV - because it's better to score points on Twitter than admit that a UN report late last year was damning of the Tory government’s treatment of their less well-off citizens, isn’t it?
Trying to explain away his dickheadishness saw Wayne Hennessey claim he wasn’t doing a Nazi salute in a photo that happened to be taken by German teammate Max Meyer, he was actually waving at somebody - and the reason he had his finger on his top lip wasn’t the well-known mimicry of Hitler’s ‘tache but he was putting his hand to his mouth so somebody on the other side of the room could hear him. For some strange reason nobody was convinced...
Attention-seeking loon Laura Loomer didn’t learn from the humiliation conga line that was her so-called protest at Twitter HQ judging by her protest against illegal immigration that involved her climbing over the fence around Nancy Pelosi’s property and setting up a stall on Pelosi’s lawn - at which point she appears to have forgotten what she was protesting about and instead kept yelling for Pelosi to respond to her, even though anyone with C-SPAN would’ve told her Pelosi was currently in the Senate
In order to promote her UK tour Azealia Banks thought the best idea was to vomit a long string of invective about the Irish on her social media all because she got irked by one Aer Lingus flight attendant
Can somebody tell Bill Maher that he doesn’t make himself sound more correct every time he regurgitates the “adults shouldn’t read comics” rant he first brought it up in the wake of Stan Lee’s death? Because it appears nobody has
Out of curiosity, is Gregory Prytyka Jr. still popping over here in an attempt to find material to try and attack me with because they can’t handle the fact I called them out for their tedious shitposting, or have they crawled back under the rock they usually live under?
And finally, harrumphing to himself in a way that everyone can hear (although they wish they couldn’t) is Donald Trump and his banquets that look suspiciously like those given by the megalomaniacal villain of Kingsmen, continuing to throw a diplomatic temper tantrum over a wall he said Mexico would pay for

How To Find Affordable Video Production Services
It has always been a challenging job to find affordable video production service in 2022. A video helps attract a larger audience; even a person with less knowledge finds videos interesting and engaging. Therefore, video advertisements have attracted a greater number of viewers to websites as opposed to different types of advertisement forms.
However, finding a reliable company providing video production services is a tough task and the following steps will make it easier.

Define your objectives
Create a brief documentary that explains your campaign's goal as well as facts, including your company and targeted demographics. This can help you focus on the businesses that best suit your requirements. Furthermore, it streamlines the initial dialogue, saving you time in your quest.
Establish a Budget
Setting a budget is essential for finding affordable video production services and giving them an idea of what they can offer you for the best price. Remember that video production is an investment rather than a cost. Hence, make a budget that is reasonable. For example, the animation video is frequently less expensive than live-action videos with actors and a crew.
Research and build a list of companies to contact
Here are some ways to start your search:
Request recommendations
Request recommendations from trusted coworkers, LinkedIn connections, Instagram followers, or Facebook pals.
Look up information on the internet
If you Google "video production firm," you'll get an overwhelming array of results. So, how do you choose an option? First, look for an partner offering affordable video production services in your area.

Make the Final List Of Companies
While there are several things to consider, the following four suggestions can aid in the selection of video production companies:
Portfolio
A portfolio is a collection of a company's best work.
Reels
A reel is a collection of clips of a company's best work.
Testimonials
These are important about comments that can be found on a company's website, Google and other review sites. Basically, these are reviews and ratings given by clients.
Awards
Did you know that some companies pay to be recognised? So, ignore companies that boast of awards you've never heard of.
Make a final list of 3-4 top prospects.
Make Your Timeline Clearly
Avoid working on a project with a tight deadline! Instead, allow extra time because the video may go through numerous rounds of review, and changes can be initiated to meet your requirements.

Calculate the Return on Investment (ROI)
Affordability and return on investment are synonymous. A video whose content is of high quality can be very good for your company's growth. If a $5,000 video provides $50,000 in revenue, it is deemed affordable. So think about how you'll use the video to increase traffic and income for your company.
Conclusion
Hopefully, the information provided above will assist you in finding a company offering affordable video production services that will provide you with high-quality content.
Remember: The only thing that matters is that your video connects with your audiences and generates new business opportunities.

Place and Narrative - Fine Art (Vicky)
When I was introduced to Locative Art I immediately thought of a project that was devised by artist, Jeff Hull. It was an interactive art piece set in San Francisco which spanned over 3 years and had over 10,000 participants. Numerous bizarre flyers were put up over the city with a phone number to call. When players called this number they were directed to a building at a certain time.

On arriving at the location, players were shown to a 1970′s styled room with a tv. This is when they were introduced via video to Octavio Coleman, Esq, a sort of self-help, pseudo-science, cult leader of the Jejune Institute. The Institute’s mission was to instruct participants in the search of Divine Non-Chalance.

The players were sent on a scavenger hunt around the city, completing surreal tasks such as dancing with b-boys and a yeti. The narrative became more complicated and players were required to work in groups to solve the mystery of a missing girl that had disappeared after becoming entangled with the Jejune Institute. There is a great documentary about the project called, The Institute, which I recommend. The trailer can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnJIA7oqqcM
This project is no longer active but they still have a website which contains documentary photographs and sound clips from the tasks and the Nonchalance radio station. The layout and style reflects the surreal nature of the game. Images are combined in strange ways and the website itself looks like it is stuck in a time capsule, there’s something very 90′s about the font and animated background.

This website could be great inspiration for our project. I like the idea of using different media like photos, illustrations and sound to engage the player. I’m also drawn to the bizarre narrative, that it isn’t immediately clear what’s going on but constructs a fantasy world outside of the mundane and everyday. This engages players, many that participated in Hull’s game claimed it changed their life. They looked at the city in a different way and met people that they wouldn’t usually cross paths with and shared a once in a lifetime experience.

A Reflection on this Year's Festival
So the end of Sundance is finally upon us. It’s been a wild ride this past week. I watched some great films and some not so great films. Some of which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and others that I could barely stay awake for. Anyway, I thought that before the festival is officially over I’d list the films I’ve watched with a brief description to go with them.
Starting with the feature films we have:
Emergency: Three friends find an unconscious girl in their house and what was meant to be a quick trip to get her to the hospital turns into absolute chaos.
Fresh: Noa, a young woman who has been thus far unsuccessful in her quest for love finds the perfect guy but he turns out to be a psychopath who makes a living selling human flesh on the black market.
Riotsville USA: An exploration of the militarization of the police using entirely archival footage.
The Cow who Sang a Song into Tomorrow: A woman seemingly comes back from the dead and returns to the dairy ranch she grew up on.
Piggy: A girl who gets teased for being fat watches someone kidnap her bullies and decides not to tell anyone.
Short Films:
Zoon: Axolotls can make you fly for some reason.
Bug Crush: Man discovers bug drugs and makes his friend overdose on them.
Boneshaker: Priest exorcizes a demon from a young girl… I think?
The Burden: Animal characters sing about their depressing lives.
The Hork: A pig-like creature slices hair from some seemingly powerful entity with deadlocks and tries to devour it only to be deleted from existence by the entity.
New Frontier:
Seven Grams: an informative documentary about the metals used in your phone presented in a unique augmented reality setting.
They Dream in my Bones: Trippy experience where you go into a skeleton and listen to phrases repeated over and over again and watch some short clips starring some boy.
Talk/Panel:
What’s Costing Hollywood: A discussion of the discrimination of african american film makers in Hollywood.
My favorite film of the bunch was Piggy. Such an interesting film that really seemed like it could’ve gone so many different ways even right up near the end. I absolutely adored that kind of ambiguity to Piggy. The film could’ve just as easily ended a million other ways and still would’ve had a satisfying ending. At the end of my review I compared the film to the Five Nights At Freddy’s lore and the numerous twists and turns this film throws at you are just like those earth shattering discoveries with each new Five Nights At Freddy’s game that force the community’s understanding of the lore to be entirely overhauled.
My least favorite film was… and I hate to say this but it’s The Cow who Sang a Song into Tomorrow. Maybe it’s just me but I personally found it very hard to follow and I took almost nothing away from it. It just seems like a jumbled mess to me. The characters’ actions didn’t make sense, the plot didn’t make sense, nothing made sense. If I’d done a review on it I would’ve rated it a kaleidoscope out of ten for just being confusing.
I’ve also been thinking… with this whole virtual Sundance a lot has changed. People used to go to Utah to get the authentic Sundance experience. Now however, since becoming online exclusive the game has changed to the point that the most authentic Sundance experience you can get this year is the one right within your own home. As technology advances so does the accessibility of the festival. Like Tyron said in Reinventing Festivals technology is making these events less tied to a specific space since we can now access the festival from anywhere(Tyron, Reinventing Festivals, p.185) As we gain access to better and better communication technologies to the point where we’re rapidly closing in on being able to essentially be right there in Utah from our own living rooms the need for an in person festival for authenticity’s sake becomes less and less valid. Not to say that in person festivals will be entirely replaced, although I suppose I wouldn’t entirely rule out that possibility but as communication technologies advance more and more it means less and less to have the “authentic experience” because the digital experience is gradually becoming closer and closer to the “authentic experience” with each passing year until eventually we get to the point where there’s barely a difference.
With all that out of the way Sundance is nearly over. I’ve had a lot of fun watching all of these creative and awe inspiring indie films this year. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. Until next year this is farewell. -Matthew Albert

Keep in mind, however, that the films available are not very famous or very first viewing, but I assure you that there is no shortage of interesting content. Here, then, are some solutions of this kind that could be for you. PopCorn TV The first site you can consider to watch movies without registration is PopCorn TV. Founded in 2010 by Delta Pictures, it is a portal that, in a completely free and legal way, offers a large catalog of films, TV series and soap operas to watch from your computer, smartphone and tablet. To watch a movie on PopCorn TV, connect to main page of the service and click on the option Watch streaming located in the top menu. In the new screen displayed, then press on the item Cinema and make sure the option is selected Free, to view only the free and visible titles without an account. Now, if you want to find a movie by genre, click on the item All and choose one of the options available from Action, Comedy, Dramatic e Horror. Find the movie you want to watch and click on its poster, to view its plot, l’year of publication, the cast, the time and the vote awarded by PopCorn TV users. To start watching it, wait for the video advertising to be played and click on the ▶ ︎ button. Paramount Network Among the services that allow you to watch movies without making any registration, there is also Paramount Network, a free digital terrestrial channel dedicated to the world of cinema that also broadcasts in streaming. The website of this broadcaster allows both to access a catalog, albeit limited, of films and TV series and to watch all the channels of the network live. If you think this is a valid solution for watching movies without registering, connect to the Paramount Network main page, click on the option Film located in the main menu and, in the new screen displayed, locate the film of your interest. At this point, click on poster of the film you intend to see, to start playing it. In the newly opened page, you can also read the plot of the film in question, while pressing the icon of two arrows, you can switch to full screen view. If, on the other hand, you want to consult the TV guide of one of the channels in the network, click on the ☰ button, at the top left, select one of the available channels from Paramount Network, Spike e VH1 and select the option TV Guide. In the event that a film that you intend to watch is scheduled, on the day and at the indicated time, access the section Direct of the channel of your interest. To do this, click on the ☰ button, click on the channel in question (Paramount Network, Spike e VH1) and select the option Direct, to watch the live broadcast of the selected TV channel. YouTube Surely you were aware of the movie rental and purchase features available on YouTube, but maybe you didn't know that on the most famous video sharing platform there are numerous titles available for free, legally and without registration request. The credit for this goes to some companies that use the famous Google portal to convey films to which they have regularly acquired the rights. You should know, however, that finding a movie on YouTube is not an easy task as there is no specific section for free feature films. To facilitate your search, here is a series of YouTube channels that offer a rich catalog of films to watch freely and without an account. - Movie On: is a channel of the Italian network YAM112003, which presents various genres (action, horror, comedy) and offers mostly American titles, with dozens of French, Russian and oriental films. There are also films in the original language with the availability of Italian subtitles. - Film&Clips: is the YouTube channel of the Italian cinema distribution house Minerva Pictures. It offers English, German, Spanish and Italian films, with genres ranging from westerns to comedies, with older films, dating back to the sixties, but also more recent titles. Also available films for the youngest and for children. - KoreanFilm: a reference point for lovers of oriental films with hundreds of classic Korean titles available both in the original language and with Italian subtitles. In addition to the channels in question, you can also find independent films and some original productions on YouTube. In particular, I suggest you take a look at the channel YouTube Originals which collects original TV series, documentaries and films produced by YouTube and which can be watched for free and without an account. To find out more, I leave you to my guide dedicated to movies to watch for free on YouTube. Once you have found a movie you want to watch, all you have to do is click on its preview image, to start playback. Please note that YouTube is also available as a device application Android e iPhone/iPad and compatible with numerous other devices, such as Smart TV, Chromecast, Apple TV and video game consoles. Streaming TV channels As a last resort I suggest you take into consideration the sites of television broadcasters that also broadcast on the Web. Although they do not have an on-demand catalog with films to watch without time constraints, there are many TV channels that broadcast movies and allow you to watch them in live streaming, at the time of passage on TV. An example are the television channels owned by the Sky Italia group visible in clear text on digital terrestrial and which also broadcast in streaming, such as Sky TV e TV8. In this regard, my guide on how to watch TV8 may be useful. Another broadcaster that broadcasts on digital terrestrial and streaming is La7. By accessing the section TV Guide, it is possible to view any films in programming to be seen, on the day and time of broadcast, by selecting the option Live. To find out more, I leave you to my tutorial on how to watch TV for free. Other sites to watch movies in streaming How do you say?
