Love the juxtaposition of these two scenes in the Sumeru AQ and the Parade of Providence event — Alhaitham pretending to be overwhelmed and corrupted by Forbidden Knowledge in the fake Divine Knowledge Capsule vs. Kaveh actually being assaulted and nearly overcomed by Sachin's consciousness and despairing despondency within the Diadem of Knowledge... Something something about Kavetham being mirrors of each other; how they are one half of the perfect citrus sphere, two contrasting images of the same reflection; and how, essentially, the sum of all their individual traits and flaws still compliment one another in the unending pursuit of wisdom and enlightenment.

Slasher Meet Cutes

For that lovely anon who reads all the slasher au stuff every fall UwU I was thinking, and what could be better than some fun little scenarios of meeting a murderer! Here's the original post if you don't know what I'm talking about, lol. I hope you enjoy!

Slasher Undertale Sans (Rubix): While Rubix doesn't do much of the dirty work as half of the Jigsaw killer, he does stake out potential victims. That's when he met you. He was following a potential victim, when the suspect bumped into you. Immediately, the asshole started blaming you, only getting more and more violent. When Sans stepped in to help you, the look of relief on your face was absolutely addicting. He wanted to see that expression every day. He just has to take care of this filth first.

Slasher Undertale Papyrus (Chess): Surprisingly, Chess meeting you had nothing to do with his secret life. He was walking his dog ("NOT MY DOG, HE JUST HANGS AROUND, AND NOBODY ELSE IS TAKING CARE OF HIM!") when Toby got off the leash and ran right over to you. Thankfully, you weren't mad, and seemed to enjoy petting the dog. However, Chess quickly noticed that you had a black eye, which you weakly explained away while you chatted. It looks like Chess has a new target, if he wanted to protect that beautiful smile.

Slasher Underswap Sans (Button): You would meet Button while he was still alive, so pre-doll body. However, like the regular Chucky, he was a criminal before his death. He met you while he was staking out a potential hit, a large store where you happened to be shopping. He got so engrossed in talking to you that he completely forgot about his job! Sadly, that store is also where he was killed. After his death, when you happened to walk into the doll shop, his heart skipped a beat. If he had one, that is. You will be his, he lost you once, it's not going to happen again.

Slasher Underswap Papyrus (Strings): Strings was always very charismatic, but not much of a social butterfly. He only met you after he began making dolls, after his brother's death. You both happened to be shopping at the same craft store, and Strings could practically feel himself falling for you when he saw you smile. While he couldn't muster the courage to talk to you, he followed you home after, completely forgetting about his errands! Don't worry, he'll formally meet you soon. He just has to make everything perfect.

Slasher Underfell Sans (Butcher): Your "meet cute" with Butcher is a classic final girl situation. You had been camping, and he had killed the rest of your group, leaving only you. He had his machete raised, about to kill you, but....you just looked so cute! You were trying to be brave, even though he was covered in your friends' blood. You held up a stick, face contorted with rage, and...well, he fell for you! That cute little face trying to fight back fear and be brave was just so cute! He'd have to keep you for himself. He wanted to see that cute face twisted up into other expressions~

Slasher Underfell Papyrus (Lucid): Like Button, Lucid knew you while he was still alive. He had a crush on you, even though he was far too proud to ever admit it. You lived next door to each other, and Noir would always try to show off whenever he got the chance. After he died, he searched endlessly to try and find your dreams. Once he found you, he began to follow you in your dreams every night. He's not sure if you've ever noticed the skeleton that appears to you every night. No matter what, you're the only one in town who never has nightmares.

Slasher Swapfell Sans (Rue): It was supposed to just be a regular job for Rue. He was going to kill you if you couldn't let go of your regrets, nothing crazy. Once you were able to let go successfully, though, he couldn't stop coming back. There was something...magnetic about you. He would watch you from the shadows, trying hard to think of something to say. Maybe he'll find a reason to get close to you again. For now though, he'll just watch you enjoy your life free from regret.

Slasher Swapfell Papyrus (Creeps): Like his brother, he's way too shy to talk to you. That could also be because he's a hermit who lives in his and his brother's derelict old house. But also because he's shy. When he met you, you were trying to help out a neighbor, whose cat ran into his yard. He was originally going to kill you for trespassing, but...just look at you! You're so sweet to help your neighbor, and the way your brows furrowed when you were worried is just adorable! He's not ashamed to admit that he followed you home and watched you the rest of the night. Don't worry, next Halloween, he's going to make sure to bring you home with him, where you belong. Then you can both be truly happy.

Real tired of the Castlevania anime discourse, especially where Nocturne is concerned. I mostly see complaints about the characters and story not being faithful to the source material. Yet, these clowns don't realize that the games were never big on storytelling and characterization. Especially the older titles. It's hilarious cuz I was a fan of the games before the anime and I love the show because it does so much better with characterization and story than the source material its based on. The only criticism I have is the absence of Grant in the original series, and Hector's characterization.

Grant was my favorite in the legendary heroes of Castlevania 3, and as always people forget about him. Then there's Hector who's character was butchered cuz sexual predator Warren Ellis had a hate boner for his voice in the show. He left out Grant cuz of his last name, which is really immature and stupid. I'm glad he's not writing the series anymore, but I'll never forgive them for that. Not to mention, season 4 was awful for so many reasons, and I disliked Greta. She was definitely a shoe-in for Grant, and that makes me mad.

I honestly think Clive Bradley is a better writer and Nocturne a better show. Not to mention the other writers like Testament and the ladies who wrote the Annette-centric episodes. Definitely a step-up from the original series.

Also, I hated the way Trevor and Sypha's relationship was handled at the end. There was build-up, only for it to end up in an anticlimactic scene of them in bed together. No confession. No kiss. Nothing. Absolutely boring and a letdown. Nocturne handled the romance department better for sure.

Honestly...I'm debating if I should even pick this up.

I know, for the whole package, $38 is a good price, especially since it's such a new release, but...I've owned half the package for years. It's called Sonic Generations. (Espio's Classic mission was a bitch to S rank, I don't know how y'all perfectly execute swings like that.)

Shadow's levels look cool and have neat concepts, like being able to take alternate paths if you use Chaos Control at certain points, although I really don't know if it'll be another "yeah the game is alright, but..." I'm willing to be surprised, though after Frontiers and seeing the Gens rewrite, I'm pretty sure I'll end up frustrated again.

I don't know if I want to pay almost $40 just to feel frustrated.

someone in my afk life has been throwing me under the bus pretty hardcore lately....

we're not that close, something like more than acquaintances but not really friends. they've been to my place for movie nights and some dinners, but they never ever reciprocate, just talk and talk about how they're going to. but never actually do. I've made peace with that but it does make for an awkward, coworker-esque dynamic that they refuse to bridge the gap on.

this is perfectly fine when it's civil, but lately has been... not so civil.

like, this person has a big, invasive surgery coming up that I think they're lashing out about b/c fear. which I get. I do. but suddenly lots of random stuff is my fault for no reason..... I say I'll help them out with X on Day, they agree, Day comes around and they've "already handled X because they couldn't wait around any longer 🙄." ("any longer" being. the agreed upon date and time.) with absolutely no communication that there was an issue.

they like to visit my cat when they see him, which is fine, but my cat is a very unpredictable, very, very strong tiny predator who struggles to communicate his boundaries. I would not trust him around new people unsupervised, for safety reasons. This person always wants to "read what he's telling them" (which they are rarely correct about. they will keep petting him when he hisses and has huge black eyes, and completely ignore him when he's open and friendly) and simply WILL NOT listen to me or respect when I translate his communications, to the point that I now always put the cat in the other room if this person is coming over.

or their dog will come sit with me instead of them at movie night (I have a very comfy/squishy blanket doggo likes to sit on and doggo is old and ready for bed. nothing personal) and once doggo gets up their person will very loudly comment "oh am I WORTHY now???" (idk if me or doggo was more uncomfy!! wtf are we supposed to do with that!!)

and they want me to babysit their dog during their surgery, and handle doggo's meds while being babysat. ok! no problem! but we HAVE to go over the procedures to give doggo meds RIGHT NOW (surgery + potential babysitting is WEEKS away and would only be for 1 night anyway). and even though I have years of experience in administering meds like doggo's, there's a very heavy implication that I don't know what I'm doing and definitely can't be trusted with doggo or doggo's meds. (??? why ask me if you feel that way??)

I've stated multiple times that I'm fine with dog sitting, but would prefer to go over meds way closer to the actual date and that is? Unacceptable?? Apparently??

Like??? I've never said a damn thing about it being too difficult, but now it's hanging out there that if they cancel their surgery it'll be because *I* wasn't able to take care of their dog because it was *simply too difficult*. which is such a crock of bs!! (the meds in question are oral syringe btw. with a very tiny dog who's very cooperative with me. literally nothing difficult about the job - just doggo's human)

like. I'm keeping details simple here but lots of this is PARAGRAPHS of unrelenting texts assuring me that I'm sooooo helpful and trustworthy while simultaneously undermining and openly second guessing every. single. thing. that I have to say. right down to attacking my sleep schedule because 'they wouldn't want to bother me' (I am not bothered and have communicated this openly). Idk how to deal with this anymore tbh.

I can't really avoid this person as I will absolutely cross pass with them in daily life, but I also cannot have a conversation with them about how shitty they're being. we simply Do Not have that kind of relationship.

I know they're diagnosed with BPD, and I suspect they're probably using me to try and self-sabotoge out of their surgery (if I'm soooo unreliable to take care of doggo for a night, then they simply *must* cancel the surgery to take care of doggo themselves!) and like. I'm trying real hard to be empathetic about it. I've known them for years now and usually I just roll with things, but it's getting to SUCH an unhealthy and nasty place lately........
