Zane Ro’Meave redesign done… He has two versions one with a hood and one without

I decided to give him some more Irene Motifs mostly cause he’s her high priest. I think I went heavy with inspiration from Irene’s skin lmao

Anyway, in my rewrite, white, blue and purple are associated with Irene and are seen as pure and rich colours.

Zane wears those robes because of that association and because it makes him look pure. He has an image to maintain after all. (Very ironic considering) and i replaced his mask with a veil because i think its a banger concept

I also like to think Irene and Zane have parallels considering they’re both willing to do bad things for what they perceive is good and also because they both show an image of purity even though that is highly debatable

(The only other character that wears Purple is Aphmau... just to connect them and differentiate them at the same time.)

Also Decided to replace the crosses with Irene’s symbol, hopefully I did it justice

Aside from that, I gave him curly hair and you can see a scar under the eye he covers.

I’m thinking assassination attempt that injured him (he’s blind partially now) and killed Vylad from a political rival which also led to Garroth running away. Don’t know about this yet though.

When browsing through the wares of a newly opened magic shop you passed by an item that caught your interest, a massive mirror

You peaked inside expecting to see yourself, but instead you saw, a girl? About your height, quite pretty, good taste in fashion… Maybe your mom when she was younger?

It feels weird, in a good way, to see this girl follow all your movements, you couldn’t help but smile, and her smile is radiant

You felt an odd sense of relief… until you looked down to see that, you’re you, of course you are

Why do you feel so sad?

“Quite the item isn’t it?”, the Witch tending the shop noticed your interest and started talking to you “a magic mirror that shows you what you’d look like if you were born the opposite sex”

You stare into it

Why do you feel this deep dread?

“But that’s not all it does!” The witch continues “want to see a magic trick?” The witch asks laying a hand on your back

You’re curious to see where this is going, so you nod your head

In one swoop the witch pushes you against the mirror and as you brace yourself to slam into it, stumbling on your feet across the floor, you find yourself slamming into the witch face first

She laughs “I probably didn’t need to push that hard”

As you lay on the ground you feel different, you look as you prepare to push yourself up from the ground you notice your hands… are they smaller?

As you get it up and oriented yourself you glance at the mirror, still the same showing girl you, but how did you get turned around did… did you get

“Sorry” the witch says as her laughter days down “that’s the first time I’ve pushed someone through a mirror, should’ve seen that coming”

You look down and see the dress you’re wearing

“Now cutie” the witch claps her hands, and jumps up! She has a grin you don’t trust “I hoped you enjoyed the trick! If you ever want to become a guy again And I hope you have some savings! Gender-bending magic is quite expensive!”

You stumble back, you can’t turn back? The mirror is showing yo- Girl You, not the real Guy You, so… that’s a no go? You’re way to poor for anything

“But don’t worry cutie, we pay quite well here and just so happen have an opening for a maid and I can assure you, you’ll look just adorable in the uniform”

Mass Effect galaxy map

(For the Rhi Shepard universe)

I've been writing, if by 'writing' one means 'making a new galaxy map to use as a reference, because I'm too picky.'

I copied some symbology from Droot1986's excellent galaxy map. I also used Engorn's map as a reference, but ultimately the clusters and connections are based on the wiki. All systems within a cluster are listed, with inhabited planets in parentheses.

(...yeah, I should probably make a legend, but I only made it for my reference, so).

Features/changes

The relay in the Sol system only connects to Arcturus. This is how it's supposed to work in canon lore; Arcturus is important because it's a gateway system, while Sol is a dead end.

(Also, Sol is now in basically the right place compared to the underlying artist's impression of the milky way. Thank you NASA.)

Batarian's now have some space of their own, because lumping all batarian space into the human Systems Alliance was just BEGGING for a war. Like, WTF. Their government is flat out evil but that doesn't mean we just get to say their planets are ours now.

Combined inner and outer council space because idgaf.

There's a new, boringly named relay between Kite's Nest, Petra, and Exodus, because I needed one in chapter 14.

If a cluster had written lore about where it was in the galaxy, I tried to reflect that — so Styx Theta, Hawking Eta, and the Pangea Expanse are all close to the galactic core, Sentry Omega is on a political border, etc. Otherwise, I adjusted location to make the relay routes clearer. (Also I wanted the giant hub that is Omega to be almost opposite the Serpent Nebula and the Citadel)..

I imagine that there are actually a LOT more mapped clusters in Council Space than we see; they were just never relevant to the game. If not, the vaunted 'all relays lead to the Citadel' reaper web is just flat out wrong. Omega has more connections, and quite a few other clusters have as many. If there are more inhabited clusters in Citadel Space it also makes the veritable explosion of humanity look a little less ridiculous. (Seriously, humans have been on the galactic scene for thirty years. LOOK at how far we've gone. Council races are right to be freakin' terrified, the Sol system was like one of those plants with exploding seed pods where you bump it and POOF now they're EVERYWHERE). So let's assume the rest of the galaxy is as cluttered as Systems Alliance space, it's just not been relevant to our anthropocentric bag of dicks worldview.

You wanted twins lore? Oh do I have the thing for you. You've seen my figure colleciton. But you haven't seen my extensive colleciton of.... Sideswipe collectible cards!

Yes, you've heard that right, these babies will reveal LOREEE to us today!

Firstly, we have this baby right here, which on the back reveals to us quite a bit of stuff about Sideswipe.

There's two main things that you notice reading Sideswipe's bio in this. There's the obvious 'he fights dirty', which is true to his G1 bio. However, then there's more. First, we learn that "working for the autobot cause made him a kinder Transformer". This directly implies that before joining, he wasn't kind, or at least wasn't as kind as he is now. It's nice to know that thanks to the autobots he's chilled out a bit and became better, I like to think he appreaciates that a lot.

Then, the more intresting one to me personally, the comment about his intellect. "He has great intellect which shapes him as a worthy opponent". Intellect implies Sideswipe's smart. But come on, he's the silly twin! The fun one, the 'dumb' one. No way is he smarter than Sunstreaker, right?

WRONG!

Because here goes my proof #2, the Henkei! Henkei! cards stats. Roll the courtains!

the second number symbolises the 'intelligence' stat.

Which Sideswipe has a 7 at, while Sunstreaker only has a 6. It is quite literally and boldly telling us that Sideswipe is smarter than his brother.

Give me some headcanons on Euclydian biology, and how Steve deviates from a normal shape.

Also. in the Lunchtime comic, Bill can make Steve a sandwich, but in "The Nibling" he still needs to possess Ford. Did he take Steve into the mindscape to feed him or what?

Ooo there is a banger post on spec Euclidean biology, it's very cool. I'm not using everything from them, more general inspo, but they have some real solid ideas!

My main Euclidean spec bio headcannon is that they eat transitional metal (Bill prefers nibbling on gold) to strength their exoskeletons through a kind of biomineralization process

EDIT- forgot to say, can't remember if this a common headcanon or not, but I consider Euclideans carnivorous by nature with teeth that continuously regrow (like a shark). Their ancestors were vicious predators. Generally, modern Euclideans eat a more omnivore-style diet, but it's still considered sweet to catch and share your own prey.

As for Pyramid Steve being different-

He's chunkier. I don't always draw it, but he's got thicker limbs and is overall more of an actual pyramid than a triangle

he's REALLY brightly coloured

normal Euclideans have limbs that darken as they age and grey as they reach old age; Steve's will stay blue

Steve shares Ford's eye colour- Euclideans typically have black pupils

Steve is more susceptible to disease due to the massive number of genetic anomalies he has as both a hybrid of two radical different creatures AND as the child of two parents, each with their own anomalies. He's getting all the vaccines!

Birth defect 1: Steve shares Ford's polydactyly - 6 toes on each foot! Euclideans only have four digits per limb, humans only have five digits per limb

Birth defect 2: Steve shares Bill's big, central eye - a Euclidean eye should be on the side, not in the centre

Birth defect 3: Steve has bilateral amelia of the upper limbs - he doesn't have arms - generally both Euclideans and humans have two arms and two legs

Steve has red glittery blood - he gets the metallic part from Bill and the red from Ford

More on the metal munching- Steve needs copper, since humans also need copper to function properly. He doesn't need a lot, but much like sugar, it's very tasty

Steve has powers similar to but not necessarily the same powers as Bill. To Be Revealed! Powers aren't normal for Euclideans

CAMP HEARTTHROB OC!!

I don't have a name for her yet, but I'll get there TRUST!! <-(he who is horrible with names LMAO)

Anyways she's not one of the councilors but one of the people staying at the camp. I don't know too much abt the story yet but I imagine that this character went to the camp on a trip with her "friends" who actually bully her and use her for money and as a scapegoat.

Anyways she's really passive and kind of a scaredy-cat, which is funny cause she's actually a huge horror fan and can watch that stuff without flinching. She also has a higher tolerance to things like gore and stuff most people would be squeamish to, but like...god forbid the lights are out...she's pissing her pants LMAOOO

Anyways!! She's not interested in actually murdering anyone(she thinks abt it sometimes tho...y'know being a pushover her entire life has her wishing she could just get rid of some people, but she'd never actually do it!) but she's pretty interested in death itself, making her more outcasted by her peers. She's also taking forensic science because she loves true crime!! This drawing was supposed to show her fascination of dead people. Like she wouldn't scream, wouldn't call the police, nope, she'd just sit there for hours watching the body slowly decompose and watching all the insects feeding and laying eggs. I can even see her going back to the spot where the body was to see the progress, she wouldn't tell anyone because she wants to watch the body decompose.

I have a few more oc ideas in mind, one of them being slasher x slasher trope because YES!! Partners in crime absolutely! Honestly I could see this oc being somewhat of a partner in crime too, but like in a "I'll hide the body and dispose of all the evidence to protect you my love mwah mwah" <3 I think one of the girls is a cannibal and if thats the case I have the biggest urge to make an oc that wants to be cannibalized! I just wanna make FREAKS for these women because good golly gracious I love them all so much!
