i’m a really strong believer in the fact that hope will get you NO WHERE & that you have to do the things that make you happy all by yourself, you can’t rely on ‘nothing’? just a few words that not even your phone will remember. but whilst on that note, there’s always going to be the minority that no matter what you do or say to them, they’ll forever have priorities of their own & at that point i’d wish hope was a real thing

i've been learning a lot about myself lately. so much so that i found myself in too fragile of a state of mind to be active on social media. especially instagram. ------------------------- instagram has a way of connecting people that other platforms can't fully achieve. it gives you a glimpse into the physical moment of someone else elsewhere. it has a unique and powerful design that can either encourage you or discourage you. ------------ i saw this quote a long time ago in a blog, screen-shot it + let it sit in my camera roll without chewing on the depth of the words. i've been learning a lot about my innate nature of comparing myself with the people and society around me. finding that i have bad habits of conjuring up lofty expectations for myself which can lead me to bitterness and disapointment. a vicious cycle that robs God of His glory and recognition for making human beings in HIS image with their own unique gifts and abilities. it's really amazing. ----------- when we give into the voices of inadequacy, we cheat ourselves into believing that Christ isn't adequate or enough for us. -------- don't waste your time trying to imitate what God hasn't spoken into your life. #seekjoy #thoughtsatmidnight
