since i'm more active here now, i thought what better way to reintroduce myself than with my homebrew Thrawn & Friends Polycule

let's start at the top because it's the easiest: wutroow and ar'alani are 100% happily married because, well, you saw how they were in the ascendancy trilogy. to me they kinda parallel thranto in a way. and then of course once lani meets faro she's obsessed. brings her back home and says "look i got us a new girlfriend" and wutroow is obsessed as well

then ar'alani and borika being exes is about how they definitely crossed paths when they were both irizi, and who am i to not smoosh two beautiful women together and make them a thing. they broke up though because lani went into the military and borika married bomarmo (canon relationship but ask me about my extensive nonbinary he/him butch bomarmo hc)

the bomarmo and eli vanto one night stand was @doctorwenqing's brilliant idea. she wrote a fic about it and i was obsessed

now let's look at eli vanto. i firmly believe he had a crush on anakin skywalker growing up (those who have read postmortem will especially Get It), and then of course in my head he's married to thrawn, they're endgame in every universe. but that's not all, which brings me to my favorite poly ship ever, ✨elithramakro✨

thrawn and samakro definitely had a love-hate thing going on in the ascendancy days, and i have a lot of thoughts about how samakro tackled his feelings towards thrawn after thrawn got exiled. in my mind it takes years for samakro to admit that he did love thrawn, in a way, but eventually he does. and when thrawn returns home they reconcile and rekindle their relationship in a more healthy way

and then elimakro has definitely been written about at length and discussed a lot in fandom over the years (i highly recommend @elivanto's elimakro fic "one man's hell is another's god", it'll change your life) but i firmly believe those two would hit it off and bond over how utterly insane serving under thrawn was. anyway in my mind they all eventually get over themselves and get together as a triad, though samakro is still in a happy married relationship with thalias (or as i like to think about her at that point in the timeline, patriarch mitth'ali'astov)

and of course thalias's crush on thrawn is very easy to see in the text if you're looking for it. i personally don't think it was reciprocated, but i respect people who do

then, thrawn definitely had a one night stand with padme and anakin in alliances. the chemistry he had with both of them is undeniable (padme and thrawn both topped anakin, if you ask me)

and finally, thrawn's other boyfriends: nuso esva, uingali and jorj car'das. i love all of them and in my personal version of the timeline they're not the "main" relationships, but they're still very important to thrawn. a more recent addition to my "thrawn boyfriends" roster is captain enoch, who is not on here because i drew this diagram a while ago, but when it comes to him, i like to imagine that during the time thrawn spent with him on peridea, they both took comfort in each other and relied on each other in a lot of ways

my beloved gilad is not on here because i haven't really figured out how to fit him into this timeline (and never felt the need to), but trust that i love pells/thrawn too

and finally, this is my personal headcanon and not really based on anything except vibes. feel free to ask about any of these because this whole thing is the result of literal years spent thinking about thrawn&friends every day, and i'm more than happy to elaborate on every part of it. and if you have your own version of the throlycule™, feel free to share!

Brothers-Introduction

AN: Another AU i decided to write, like if Thrawn and Maul's brothers are alive and meet Onora. Also with my headcanon that Nightbrothers share everything.

Chapter 1-Introduction

When Onora got to know Maul and Thrawn, she also got to know their brothers.

Thrass was a lot like Thrawn, but at the same time he wasn't. He was more approachable then her lover and also a bit more modest. He seemed almost delighted upon meeting Onora, saying how he didn't think Thrawn was interested in romantic endeavors and she must be a very interesting woman to turn his gaze. He also surprised that she self taught herself cheunh and she did it because she wanted a challenge.

He was also mildly surprised she was with Maul, a total opposite of personality of Thrawns.

Maul brothers were a totally different story.

Them being nightbrothers, they were abused by the nighsisters and had to get their freedom back by force. So they were wary of women.

Wary of her.

She understood only too well, her own experiences made her wary of everyone. So she she gave them space and was extremely patient.

Feral came to her first.

He was fascinated by her.

Her hair.

Her voice.

Her scars.

He wanted to know what was about this human woman that charmed both his brother and the pompous chiss.

Savage was trickier.

He was suspicious of her from the start, wondering if she was using her “feminine wiles” to seduce his brother, one in charge of a criminal syndicate and Thrawn, a grand admiral for her own agenda.

Onora didn't even know she has any feminine wiles.

He watched her every move, glaring at her constantly.

She gave him space and finally won him over when he saw her talking to his brethren normally and playing with little nightbrothers. To him, it showed that she had compassion for his species.

Maul then explained how nightbrothers share everything.

Food.

Supplies.

Wives.

In other words, Feral and Savage will also join the polycule with Maul and Thrawn, being her lovers as well.

Her face turned as red as her hair.

She told him she needed time to think because really, four lovers!

And three of them as brothers?!

Luckily they are patient with her.

And that's all she asked for.

Mon/Padmé: Something before the rise of the Empire. Mon and Padmé are in the same political circles and maybe it develops into more (I'm absolutely fine with Anakin and Padmé being poly in this case).

Mon/Tay: Maybe something either pre-Andor and their adult kinship, or post-season 1 of Andor and building off of those events to something happening between the two of them.

- boba doesn't have a single dialogue

- we don't get resolution on grogu's choice that's left as a cliffhanger until mando season 3

- omega from the bad batch is there

- a jar jar binks cameo

- hondo ohnaka was behind the evil pykes all along

- maul is somehow still alive

- the power ranger gang is eaten by the sarlacc (a new sarlacc idk)

- bo katan and ahsoka show up to promote the ahsoka show and talk about thrawn for 20 minutes

- we get long and explicit sex scene between peli and a jawa

- cobb gets added to the bounty hunter polycule (this is a good one actually)

- cad bane gets a jokerfied and we find out boba killed his grandma or something

are there any other star wars ships that you're into/that we can bounce ideas off you? (if that's not wanted then my bad)

I am pretty much an omnishipper which means I support everything but not all of them catch my interest in the same way.

I tend to be drawn to ships with a bit of shade, where they could/do antagonise each other a little or a lot, even better if one or more involved have done some questionable shit. I like ships that aren't so straightforward, self-evident, or popular, because the fun for me is to figure out how a rare, unlikely or non-intuitive puzzle of a relationship works or could be possible.

And if there's Size Difference? Holy 🔥. Service Top potential -- hold my gd beer. Bonus inhuman and/or monstrous elements on top? Baby, I'm already writing just point me where.

For me it's a little less "who?" and it's more "what are they bringing to the table?" If the concept is interesting to me, even if the ship is super-established, I'll be curious. I prefer when the challenges are thematically resonant with what we know of their character so the challenges or questions to explore are meaty and satisfying.

Rare randoms I want see more

Any iteration of Bo-Katan/Koska Reeves/Axe Woves. Why is there not more content for these three? And then inflict them on Din idk.

Boba/Koska: I know 90% of people heard "little one" and gave it to Din but maaaaaan this was fire FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

(if it's a Mando ship my reprieve will often be "inflict them on Din" bc he's our hero)

Boba/Fennec (Bobannec) makes me crazy because I love power couples with conflict. I love that tbobf didn't start with everything at peace. Ah, show me the journeeeeeey 😍

Anything Axe Woves: just, who the fuck are you, dude? Huh? Tell me.

Anything Armourer, Koska or Fennec: I want them to beat me up and/or sit on my face and I'm not particular about the order.

Paz/Probably Anyone because it would be an opportunity to explore his character.

Din/The Darksaber: I read a story where the darksaber had a symbiote and it's never left my brain ok

Din/Monsters: This is not very fucking deep, I just love monsters

Din/Robots: Dude is a recovering droidphobic let's please traumatise I mean continue his journey

Thrawn/Eli Vanto: I know nothing about Eli Vanto but Thrawn is my actual favourite star wars character so I want to learn more about Thrawn

I've read plenty of QuiObi and cried tears over Codywan, I love Anidala and classics like HanLeia but I know I'm never going to write for those. I never even sit back and wonder about them. Because I get why they work. Those are what I read when I know exactly what I need and will get.

For instance, Din/Luke is the leading mlm ship in the Mando fandom (I think) and I think it's sweet! It also gives Din plenty of opportunities to be with his baby 🤗💛 But nothing fires in my brain for that ship because... I get it 😂 also they're both so similar in their gentle natures and I prefer ships where there's more fire in the complement. DinLuke would be the neighbours I want to live beside but I sure don't wonder about their prospective love life.

(I'm more partial to Han/Luke because Back In My Day we liked pain; how would Luke navigate this impasse where he may love his sister unconditionally but he's trying to smother this shameful, painful yearning for her partner/husband, etc.)

The only things I don't write are reader inserts and OCs (basically the same thing). Again, I support them and I've read plenty, ok my first entry into writing for Mando was the absurdly popular pairing of Din and this original stormtrooper character named Corin BC the writer was just that engaging, but now I have an actual cast to play with. I'd rather see what opportunities they all provide for me.

In my Brothers AU, Savage and Feral are also part of the polycule with Onora.

Savage and Onoras relationship is pretty solid; she considers Savage her rock.

Savage didn't trust Onora at first, because of his situation with the night sisters. But he slowly falls in love with her, especially seeing how good she is with little nightbrothers when she comes to Dathomir. Some primal feelings come to light after that.

He think her benevolence is exactly what his brothers need.

He also thinks Thrawn is a pompous dick.
