Pramanix was caught between a rock and a hard place, so to speak, when Priscilla had invited her to the Water of Styx for the festivities. She didn’t want to be rude and decline, but she was unsure about going out in a swimsuit. It would be unlike her to be so... exposed.
However, she couldn’t go and just wear what she normally does, either, not in this weather. She comes from a place of constant blizzard. The summer here was absolutely killing her. Hence, she tended to stay indoors, with the air conditioning at max power.
But in the end, she did choose to go to the pool with Priscilla, under the condition that if the heat is too much, they maybe go check out someplace... indoors. With many fans.
“I don’t know how you aren’t miserable yourself, Priscilla...” she said, holding her ice cold bottle of water, wearing a rather wide hat, beneath a group of umbrellas, next to a fan blowing directly towards her.

“This summer has been near unbearable for me so far...”

Priscilla didn’t need much convincing when Mezzarin asked to hang out, which was very good from Mezzarin’s point of view because she had things to give her! So she told Priscilla to meet her at the nicest place that came to her mind immediately: one of the outdoor theatres in Archimedes, currently empty as there were no performances scheduled today.
Mezzarin looked unusually cheery, hands held behind her back, as she floated up to Priscilla’s face as soon as she arrived, and immediately went into her spiel.
“Okay so sorry to ask you to hang out so suddenly but I really wanted to give this to you today before it sort of lost more meaning than it already has and I wanted to give it to you specifically because—”
Deep breath.
“—to you because you’re one of my only friends even though you’re also my boss which is pretty sad but I try to ignore that part and it doesn’t matter because you’re a big enough friend to make up for it both figuratively and literally and it’s helpful in getting me to forget about the friends I had back home.”
And after running out of breath a second time (and still wearing a big smile throughout it, despite the sad admissions), she thrust her hands forward towards Priscilla’s face. In her hands was a simple Hallmark DevoLine Valentine’s Day card, with a picture of a bee on the front and the caption ‘You’re what all the buzz is about!’
It also had a hand written note from Mezzarin, saying simply “Be my Valentine?”
