Currently rereading QOAAD and suddenly upset about the lost potential of Cameron and Livvy

Them in Thule are just so cute and so in love😭😭

And they never interact in our world except for when Livvy calls him “annoying but hot like redheaded captain america”

And maybe it’s the conditions of Thule that brought them together and maybe nothing would have happened in our world but we’ll never know 😭😭

Like in Thule Cam worships Livvy, and in our world Cam was a good boyfriend (even if he obvi wasn’t right for Emma). I could so imagine Livvy putting Cam in his place.

I don’t know if I want Cam and Thule Livvy to even meet bc it would be so sad for Thule Livvy with the history she has with him.

It’s so tragic to me that Cam might have lost the love of his life in our world and never know it 😭😭

Is Thule Cam really dead? Could our Tessa go to Thule and let him out of the Silent City?? I want more Cameron in TWP tbh

I’m so excited to go back to Thule in TWP tbh (I assume we will)

Bc I still believe that Thule Mark and Dru are still out their bc they were said to be lost but not dead.

I really do hope we see Thule!Simon at least some point in TWP because I actually think he’s potential be a really interesting character.

Like I really wanna know the context of Simon saying “I’ll kill you Jace herondale”. I don’t know if “context” is the right word but like, I wanna know what the situation was. Like was it just after Clary died? Or was it something else?? Another battle???

I’m also curious to know the guilt he feels about clary dying, it obviously isn’t his fault BUT it was Simon who gave Clary glorious and is probably the reason that she even got to confront Lilith. I think it would be an interesting difference in the book- the last time Lilith had tried to kill Clary, Simon had the mark of Cain to protect him and clary- while this time he couldn’t.

I ALSO WANT TO KNOW HIS REACTION TO IZZY’s DEATH l!!!

Also, I’m so curious about what point did he go missing?? Like was it right after Clary’s death, or a little later?? Unless the book mentioned this and I completely forgot. But I’m so curious, and I mean I think the book does insinuate he’s alive- since Thule!Maia has a tattoo for Alec, Magnus & Clary- and I’d argue that at that point in time Maia was probably closest to Simon in the group.

something about Thule!Simon that I feel like we don't talk about enough (and I really hope gets brought up in canon) is that he's partially to blame for Thule existing at all. like he's not just this tragic passive figure who lost everyone he loves and is now doomed to roam forever alone, he's like. directly responsible for that happening. there is no Thule without Sebastian and there is Sebastian without Simon. because when he was presented with the choice between protecting the world or protecting Clary, he choose Clary. only in the end he doomed both the world and Clary, and everyone else he cared about.

also related to this is his last encountered with Janus, where he said something along the lines of "I'll kill you, Jace Herondale." but it's clearly not a threat he's ever followed through on. and the significance of the fact that all along killing Jace would have prevented everything. if Jace wasn't alive, he couldn't be the bargaining chip for Sebastian's life. if they had let the Clave kill Jace in order to kill Sebastian, there would have never been a war or an apocalyptic end of the world. Simon raised the angel Raziel in order to find a solution that would have saved Jace's life, and all that accomplished was him handing Clary a sword and her promptly getting killed for it. only after, when it's far far too late, is Simon willing to kill Jace. which again, he still didn't do because Janus is still alive, so maybe after everything Simon still can't do it. he still can't kill Jace Herondale.

I am soooo excited for thule!simon because

1. he is still a vampire and I hope he appears with thule!raphael or thule!camille

2. he has lost everything, his clary, his mundane family...

3. He told Janus “I’ll kill you jace herondale” before his disappearance AAAAAAAA

I hope that thule!simon and janus can make peace and console each other and that they end up together so jimon finally becomes canon

anyway while we're not talking about thule and its apparent non-existent role in twp.. i do think i would love nothing more than for thule!simon to pop out of the woodwork and kill janus right at the last second, saving the day in our world as he couldn't in thule. an extra request would be that simon would die killing him. his final act, fulfilling his promise, enacting revenge, and once again sacrificing himself for the sake of the people he loves.

Top 5 favorite characters and why (I want the juicy deats)

Okay I got asked a top 3 earlier so to make it easier I'm gonna copy that and elaborate on it. Then I'm gonna take it to 5☺️ but I gotta be honest once in a while my favourites change so if you ask me in a month it will be different because I love so many of them

1. Kit Herondale

Herondale check. Sarcasm check. Amazing potential check. I also love the way we see the shadow world through his pov as it's a completely different take because he grew up disposing them, only to fall in love with one of them. I'll never forget him and his revenge cookies

2. Jem Carstairs

Do you even need an explanation on for sweet sweet Jem. I love him and Will as well but Jem has a special place in my heart.

3. Simon Lewis

He went through so much and his character growth is amazing. He's nerdy, plays the guitar and can fight demons? Awesome.

4. Tessa Gray

The way we get reintroduced to the shadow world through Tessa's eyes is beautiful. She loves books, just like most of us and she is so nice. I love her friendship with Sophie and how we see her through Jems eyes in gotsm. Even though people discriminate against her she stays kind and open to everyone.

5. Livvy Blackthorn

Her death killed both me and her. The way she says she wants to grow up to be like Julian. Her dynamic with Kit and Ty. Her story in Thule. When I was 16 i aspired to be like her.

Cordelia would have made the list if not for the fact that ChoT is my least favourite book, because I love her character but there is so much wasted potential imo just like for most of the TLH characters. The love triangle and miscommunication just didn't do it for me.

Some honorable mentions: Izzy cause we have the same cooking skills, Cristina cause I aspire to be her, Emma because academic validation and wanting to be the best is real, Diana, Ty and Anna cause representation is powerful, Mark because he is so sweet and went through so much and Christopher Lightwood because i am a chem. engineering and i fall for boys with testtubes. Magnus cause he is steady factor, always there. Alec because he became the change he wanted to see in the world and that is damn powerful.
