John Proudstar had lost count of the days and nights that had passed since he lost Clarice; however, even though it was in silence, he decided to make a promise: "I will wait for you". He didn't care if he had to wait an eternity; he would always wait for her, and time was the least of it.

The wind howled through the forest, as did the accelerated beating of John's heart. The night was dark and cold, and John searched desperately for Clarice.

They had been running for what seemed like an eternity, but in the chaos of the chase, they had become separated. What had the purifiers done to her? Where would she be now?

Finally, exhausted and fist-close to his heart, trying to control his heartbeat, John stopped. He leaned against a tree, panting, trying to catch his breath and chase away the fears that gripped him. He closed his eyes tightly, trying to focus on the words Clarice had said to him at their last encounter before they parted amid the chaos.

"I will wait for you." Clarice's words echoed in his mind. John clung to that belief as if it were his only lifeline.

With a new determination, he stood up and continued on his way. He couldn't stand still, not when Clarice might be out there, needing him as much as he needed her.

Days turned into nights, and nights turned into days as John continued his tireless search. Along the way, he found other mutants who shared his fate, other beings who had lost loved ones in the hunt for the Purifiers. Together, they formed a family of wounded souls, united by grief and hope.

Finally, after several attempts, John found Clarice. They held each other tightly as if they could protect each other from every evil that existed in the world.

"I found you," John murmured, his voice trembling with emotion and relief.

"I always knew you would," Clarice said. "I´ve waited for you."

At that moment, John opened his eyes and winced in disappointment, but still, he would not give up hope of being reunited with Clarice, no matter what the cost.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 163, all since 2018 except one from 2013.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 1,117,051 (how?)

3. What fandoms do you write for? Whatever I'm hyperfixated on, so currently Dragonlance/The Last Trial, I have not abandoned my Silmarillion fics I swear, the last few fandoms were The Witcher, Shadowhunters, etc.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? wolves and voices (Witcher) by far, then take me back to the start (Shadowhunters), Didn't the trees tell us their stories? (Witcher), map out a world (Shadowhunters), straight through the smoke (Shadowhunters). They're not necessarily my best either, just a combo of larger fandoms and some of them being fairly old.

5. Do you respond to comments? I try to respond to every comment, though I often lack the energy and I've been known to respond six months late.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I usually only write unhappy ending in ficlets, so probably Lord of Nothing (Silm) or we'd laugh at the ghosts of our fears (Silm)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

if I am to braid my mystic crown (Silm) has a particularly happy ending I guess?

take me back to the start (Shadowhunters) has perhaps not the happiest ending but the one I'm most proud of.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I have gotten hate before, though nothing extreme. Those comments are just people being obvious jerks though, I find them easier to deal with than people who "helpfully" offer concrit and make you doubt everything you've ever written.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I've been known to write fusions, not crossovers so much, though Rats And Sand Jars is a crack Encanto/Shadowhunters treated seriously.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I think I've had someone ask before if they could, but I never heard anything more.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I don't ship tbh. But if we're talking about a couple I still think about and miss years later, maybe Thunderblink (The Gifted).

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? SO MANY OMG. The one I regret abandoning the most is perhaps the time we've been given (Shadowhunters).

16. What are your writing strengths? Stream of consciousness-style writing, otherwise dialogue I guess? And writing disabled characters.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? English. It's not my native language and my active vocabulary is restricted no matter how large my passive vocabulary is. Also humor isn't my strongest suit.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? In my own fics I'll try not to write more than a few words. In other people's fic, my opinion depends entirely on whether I can read that language xD

19. First fandom you wrote for? Uuuuh depends what counts as fandom and what counts as writing. First fandom I posted a fic for was Harry Potter, way back when I was a teen writing in French on ffnet. But I wrote roleplays/cooperative fanfic on forums before that and also stuff for school that was totally fanfic.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? take me back to the start (Shadowhunters) if we're talking longfics. On the shorter side I'm quite proud of your veins are empty of dust (Silm).

can I get some ramblings on 6, 7, and 10 for the movie ask thing?

6. Different characters played by the same actor/actress you think would have fun meeting (fun for you or them? who knows).

I'm still on Barbie brain, so what if Harley Quinn showed up. Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn who tries to pretend to be Barbie. Or something. Somebody from Mattel capturing Harley on accident. Or worse, Amanda Waller's minions grabbing Barbie thinking she's Harley and sending her on a mission. Or the two meet on the street, enjoying their breakfast sandwiches. I think there is some potential for hilarity. They would absolutely support each other, that much is for sure!!!

7 Two films - from very different genres at best - you'd want to mash-up in an unholy experiment.

The thought process: I wanted to think of a comedy and the first that came to mind was Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar. A totally underrated gem of a great time. But thinking about what to mash that up with - preferably horror - I realized that Barb & Star need to have adventures all over the place! They are the perfect duo to make everything hilarious. They are the bestest of friends who will have each others' back no matter what and they don't flinch when bizarre doom is coming for them. I watched Insidious: The Red Door recently and that came up. The two just walking around in the Further and giving decoration tipps to the demon, you know.

Barb & Star meet Ghostface -- Barb & Star visit Gotham City -- Barb & Star watch the Hunger Games (in the Capitol, VIP seats) -- Barb & Star vs the Mummy -- Barb & Star in a cabin in the woods They will thrive! And Trish will always be there to help them out. Every film has one throwaway scene with Sharon and Yoyo trying to get back at them and they fail miserably.

10. A remake you wish would happent for whatever reason.

Cutthroat Island. You know what, I'll even keep most of the plot, because I enjoy it. Only a few tweaks. BUT the character of William Shaw (used to be Matthew Modine) is now Wilhelmina and we get the lesbians we deserve. Geena Davis gets to have a cameo. Or she can be the villain Dawg Brown, here for that.

14. An action sequence you deeply enjoy.

The beginning in X-Men: Days of Future Past. When the rag tag bunch of last free mutants with Kitty & Co escape the Sentinels. It is a tense scene, very dynamic and it highlights all the powers used. Blink's portals, Iceman's ice-sliding etc etc. Also they die so we get to see how big of a threat these Sentinels truly are. And then *poof* it's erased so the scene also helps explaining the big plotpoint of how quantum-time-travel-bladiblubb works in this.

I remember watching that for the first time on the big screen and I was so excited. It's only the beginning of the movie and we get such a treat. Sunspot gets to power up Bishop and then blasts a Sentinel with all he's got. Meanwhile Iceman freezes one of them. And then those bastard machines show they have powers of their own adapt and we get fire and ice used against them.

Also Blink & Warpath work so effortlessly together. Her portals and his combat skills. :3 :3 :3 (Look, this is why we got ThunderBlink in The Gifted and I'm here for that.) The overall teamwork and the way they look at each other, it's a good scene I enjoy watching very much.

Gonna change it up and talked about xmen series The Gifted:

Started rewatching and the first episode is such a great mimic/reflection of our society right. Will also mention things from later on as well. Someone else might have mentioned this already but it’s been stuck in brain.

So xmen fans should know that they were created as a reflection of racism; different from the societal norm by a few pieces of DNA. The core four are all mutants and minorities in the US (Asian, indigenous, Hispanic, Jewish) fighting for their rights and wanted to be treated equally.

The Strucker family is a white suburban family who do not see the inequality that mutants face; since they benefit from the law. The father even prosecutes mutants that define themselves from attack; occasionally aren’t able to control their abilities. Some of the attacks are what trigger mutants abilities for the first time.

Once the abilities appear, if in public and or changes their physical appearance, that persons life is over. They get targeted by police as mutants and get extra surveillance and treated like they have something to hide or did something wrong, and no protection from hate groups. Cause the humans don’t see them the same way, they have to cross over the us vs them line (aka the Strucker family) Then there are “them” that were born into mutant parents, or had their ability appear at an early age and have lived as outcasts for most (since early to late teens) or their whole lives (the core four).

Their parents and or themselves barely making ends meet, living in undesirable area and working in shitty jobs; if they can find them, because of discrimination of mutants under the designs of fear for public safety. Can’t t get higher paid positions or skill/trained jobs cause that takes extra money and time to learn those things (college/university). Some get pushed to there breaking point and are just desperate, and consider using their abilities to help just once (Clarice stealing food after being chased out of town). However, it’s not seen that way it framed as using their abilities to cheat the system and take advantage of others and therefore need to be punished. In The Gifted there even enhanced and minimum sentencing for mutants, even when abilities first appear and it’s an accident - the bowling scene where a teen girl is provoked and accidentally uses her ability to blow food around and ADA Strucker tells them to just leave and let it go.

Back to the Strucker’s, they didn’t see any of that until Andy’s abilities appear in public and Lauren was forced to show herself as well. They don’t know how to live or get off the grid; basically got caught after 1 day. Though the parents acknowledge that they were privileged, they still can’t see why they can’t get help from some people and the law, like they had before. Also think that they, their ideas, and their problems are more important/better then the other mutants (mom Strucker) that have been navigating the article injustices longer and know the real rules of mutant life. Dad Strucker started out lecturing Andy about how using his abilities could hurt people, as if he wasn’t raised to fear/distrust mutant abilities. When Andy acknowledged liking using them to destroy things when trying to learn control, he didn’t mean he liked hurting people at that time. I think that he got to let out some of his pent up frustration at that he had about being bullied; that same frustration of being mistreated and his dad basically told what he was feeling was wrong.

Clarice and John had been working together on a mission for a long time, especially to obtain some information that could benefit mutants. However, this time, their objective was different. They had to pretend to be a couple to infiltrate a party where very important people would go and retrieve valuable information.

Before the mission, they met at one of the mutant headquarters in the subway. Clarice was nervous about having to pretend to be a couple, just as John tried to hide his true feelings for Clarice, but every time he looked at her, his heart beat faster.

The night of the party finally arrived. Clarice and John entered the venue, looking flawless and radiant. As they made their way through the crowd, they realized how well they complemented each other. Their conversations were fluid and natural, and their chemistry was undeniable.

As the night progressed, the tension between them became more apparent. Their glances became more intense, and their casual brushes became more meaningful.

As they walked through the party, Clarice and John continued with their roles, but inside, they both knew that what they were experiencing went beyond what they were pretending; there were other kinds of feelings.

In the middle of the crowd, they encountered a suspicious man who seemed to have information. Clarice and John decided to separate momentarily so they could investigate.

Clarice was in one of the main rooms, where she was surrounded by influential and powerful people. As she tried to keep her objective in mind, her mind kept wandering back to John.

Meanwhile, John was in the garden of the mansion, trying to gather information. But his mind was constantly distracted by thinking about Clarice. He couldn't help but wonder if there was something more between them beyond the mission.

When Clarice and John met again, their gazes met, and at that moment, they pulled each other close and melted into a passionate kiss. After a few seconds, Clarice broke the kiss and whispered to him. John, I know this is just a game, but what I feel for you is something inexplicable: I'm in love with you.

John looked at her in surprise but quickly broke into a big smile.

Clarice, I feel the same way," John confessed. From the moment I saw you, I knew I wanted to be with you forever.

They continued to pretend to be a couple for the rest of the night, but this time with clearer minds, so they could get the information they needed.

After successfully completing their mission, Clarice and John decided that they were going to be a couple. However, their relationship would be no problem for mutant welfare.

Although they didn't care much about what the rest thought, after all, these were difficult times for everyone, and they knew what could happen to them if they were caught by the Sentinels or any enemy.

So there was no time for doubts; no matter what happened, they had to live to the fullest.
