can't believe my straight sister clocked the lesbians in timecut (2024) faster than I did lmfao (my god the buffy poster was right there, I was so slow 🥹)

it was a cute movie and we enjoyed it as a fun mindless watch though I do admit that I fully leaned in and gave it my attention when my sister clocked the gay tension 😭 gotta root for the gays when there's a serial killer intent on taking them out, thems the rules!

the ending was kind of rushed and the plot had some big holes that they hand-waved away but I couldn't be bothered with the time travel logic they were working with tbh so I didn't particularly mind that part. the acting was giving dcom and so was the decision to do cutaway shots from the gore of the killings so idk if I can classify this as a slasher or a horror film.

it was kind of really sad too. the main character seeing for herself how she was only born to fill the hole her sister left after she died and the way her parents couldn't be bothered to actually try to love and care for her the way they did for her sister was genuinely upsetting. the scenes where the sisters were bonding were really wholesome and sweet though.

all in all, a mixed bag but the lesbians survived and got a happy ending so it's a good enough watch in my eyes. 😅

TIMECUT- 2024 ⭐️⭐️

A teen in 2024 accidentally time-travels to 2003, days before a masked killer murders his sister. A fun premise certainly but very little else to offer. I did like the killers look and presentation and the opening wasn't bad. I felt the story and characters were largely bland and uninteresting and turned this off with about half an hour to go. I do agree with the common criticism on this film that the 2000s fashions and atmostphere was done in a very lack lustre, half hearted way. It was very surface level 2000s and don't think it at all captured the era which was most disappointing. Quite lame. Nice Buffy poster however.

Holidays TV ...

While on holiday recently, I finished the following #PrimeVideo shows: S1 of #CrossonPrime , S1 of #MaxtonHall , + S4 of #JackRyan . 🤠 All entertaining shows!

I also watched via #Netflix these 2024 #movies via download to my iPad mini: #RebelRidge, #TimeCut, and #MeetMeNextChristmas. 🍿 Also enjoyable.

I plan to finish up #HotFrosty this wknd that I started a couple of days ago then hit up my DVR'd holiday #movies like #MakeorBakeChristmas, #ChristmasUnderTheLights, #RoundandRound, +several others including 2 new flicks. #romcom #Hallmarkies #ItsAWonderfulLifetime
