Like I feel like that would be interesting and fun esp bc hes the tl4j member w the least yoda connection (also least yoda/mando baggage) but also the most Mando connection (Ahsoka maybe arguable but like cmon)

Where's baylan and shin ? Why isnt baylan teaching with the tl4j ? He certainly got the skills and experience. And unpopular opinion, his glorious beard's better than ezra's.

Din has a lot of respect for Sabine!! Obvs he doesn't know the full extent of the emotional journey she's had accepting her whole thing as Last Daughter of Clan Wren but I think he does sense the similarities they have in their feelings abt their roles. There's also that shared conflict between being a Mandalorian leader (Mand'alor/ Lady Wren) and an outsider (child of the watch, never been to mandalore before/ left mandalore young) sooo they rlly do understand each other.

I don't think they become close friends per se (that would require emotional vulnerability from 2 traumatised mandalorians), but they become very defensive of one another very quickly and have a strong shared respect (:

(Plus they both get a buddy for when they visit their family at the Jedi academy!)
