Hi! Yes!! This au has gripped me by the throat since watching the show lol!

So this is very based on the running theme in tldhlb that Methas believes money can buy anyone or anything but giving it a bit of a darker spin. In my mind this au is set in ambiguously imperial times or in some sort of kingdom/royalty au setting. Methas is the king or prince and JJ is just a commoner or a lower class worker. One day they meet and JJ stands up to Methas in some way that instantly attracts Methas’ attention. And like in canon after only a few interactions Methas is like I need to have this man. So he uses his power or finds some kind of leverage (maybe related to Wan and JJ’s desire to protect/look out for him) to force JJ to become his concubine. It’s very much playing off the “you can’t use money to buy someone like me” line in the show. Because in this au Methas quite literally does have the power to buy JJ and that makes me feral! So yeah this au stemmed a lot from the idea of what would the MethasJJ ship/dynamic look like if they lived in a world where JJ couldn’t exercise his freewill as easily and Methas had the power to give into the desire to essentially own JJ that he feels towards the begging of the show. To pay for his love. Though I imagine JJ would be equally as stubborn and would fight Methas where he could. I don’t think Methas would force JJ to do anything against his will but I do think he would pout and wonder why JJ wasn’t just immediately accepting his new life and why he wasn’t giving Methas all the kissing and loving he wanted lol. I think Methas would bug JJ but ultimately give him space and try to please him with lavish gifts and meals and other things. JJ wouldn’t hold back his opinions about how wrong this all is and would let Methas know that he may be able to buy him but not his affections. Eventually JJ would unlock Methas’s sad back story about his family all dying in a tragic accident and leaving him alone and he would realize okay he may be a rich asshole monarch but he is just a little meow meow. JJ would start to fall for him as Methas tried his best to learn and grow and give JJ what he needs to be happy. And In the end JJ would be elevated from concubine to queen 👑

He begins following Pon’s group on social media and quickly finds Pon’s individual accts which he follows as well

Pon has a habit of looking through his followers (for fun, he just likes to see what the fans are up to) and sees Sailubs acct and gets excited bc he loves sailub’s work

Sailub & his bl partner joke around sometimes about Sailub’s love for pon

Fans like to ask who Sailub loves more and he’ll always wink and say something to the effect of “well I carry a photo of pon around so I think that’s the answer” while flashing a rotating selection of pon photocards he has

Pon’s members always like to tease him because this actor seems to /really/ like him and they’ll send videos to him of Sailub mentioning him/the group whenever they run across them

Pon’s group is going on tour and they happen to have a stop in Thailand so Sailub gets tickets for him and some friends (he didn’t want to go alone but really he’s the only fan in the group)

His friends as a joke manage to get him into the fansign the morning of the show thinking he wouldn’t actually go through with it

Jokes on them because sailub’s actually pretty excited to get his album signed and to finally get to tell Pon how talented he is in person

Sailub posts about being at the fansign with his friends the morning of while they were in line

Pon may or may not have been checking sailubs acct all morning to see if he’d be at the show that night and absolutely freaks when he realizes he’s at the fansign

Pon’s members are teasing him, telling pon to “go get his man” which…. Puts an idea in pon’s head

Sailub and his friends are just waiting in line when a manager comes out and asks them to come in early

They say it’s because he has his own fan base and they don’t want him to be in harms way, little did Sailub know it was at Pon’s request

Sailub and his friends get inside and he’s immediately confronted with the boy he’s been thinking about for months

They both just kinda stare at each other for a minute ?? Both men are starstruck with the other and don’t totally know what to do with themselves

The other members start mingling with sailub’s friends just to ease the tension (aka they’re all watching and poking fun at the two who can’t seem to take their eyes off each other)

Sailub manages to get his brain back online and introduces himself to Pon, telling him how much he loves his voice

Pon blushes and thanks him and they begin talking about their jobs/lives

Sailub & pon lose track of time and have to be pulled away from each other because the fansign is starting soon

Both men are disappointed because they really enjoyed talking with the other

Right before pon fully leaves the room he turns back around and asks Sailub if he’s going to the show that night and Sailub respond that he “wouldn’t miss it for the world”

Pon is an absolute blushing mess when he walks through the doorway and his members tease him incredibly hard about it

A few hours later Sailub and his friends are in their seats (a small private box) waiting for the show to start when he gets a dm request

Sailub freezes when he realizes it’s from Pon’s acct

A couple years later they just start mentioning being together/posting actual couple photos. No big coming out, just two people who have grown close and want the chance to share their love with others <3
