I've seen this #Top5Challenge everywhere on social media lately. I’ve decided to join by sharing my TOP 5 favorite skateboarding tricks I’ve landed over the years. These tricks were chosen based on the difficulty, location, and the overall execution of the tricks. The #top5challenge has been circulating today & I’ve been tagged in a few of them. What I’ve noticed is a TON of Hyped up kicks that people really just wanted to flex. I’m different. The sneakers I keep in my personal collection all have a meaning & a story behind them. Are they most hyped? Nah. You guys see that all over my page I have hyped up stuff, but these are my true Top 5 right now & why: 1. Reebok Club C “It’s A Man’s World” - Gifted to me from my friend @nerdlikejazzy . An ode to staying loyal & seeing who really rises for you through the hard times. 2. Nike Air Max 95 for @itstwoelles designer by @cauzneffect . My homie really had an official sneaker made for her & that’s as dope as it gets. 3. Converse Chuck Taylor - Tyler The Creator Artist Series Limited Edition. Gifted by my dawg @munch215 . Known the man since 2015 & he’s been solid from Day 1. Good people right there. 4. K-Swiss x Breaking Bad Collab. Gifted by the OG @wutangchiang & the good people at @greenhouse . Met Victoria through Munch & she always showed love. I didn’t deserve these & she sent them anyway. I owe her one for that. 5. 1999 Air Jordan 14 Mid OG in the rare White/Carolina Blue. My crown jewel. My Grails. Left on a layaway shelf when I was 13 because my mom couldn’t afford them & finally got em 20 years later. Top 5 Challenge! Exhibition!

Kaitlyn and Andrew - Ghost Soundtrack

What I love most about this show program is the storytelling. The piece is very well-choreographed and well-packaged. The costumes are very fitting to the theme. The evident chemistry between the two of them is moving.

Piper and Paul - Let It Go

I love, love, love this song and I'm so glad that someone performed to it. I like that this show program shows a different side to Piper and Paul. I love the somber feel of the program. I appreciate the intricate lifts they incorporated to this piece. I would have loved to seen Piper in a more simple, toned down, grey dress to match Paul, but overall, there’s no denying that this is a great show program.

Madison and Zach - Slip 

Cool music choice. Costumes look great. Superb expression of emotions, as always. I love the whole table setting scene. It really sets the mood. A well-packaged show program.

Tessa and Scott - Sorry

I like a little groovy show program once in a while. I know it's Bieber, but I think it's good to see them do something of this upbeat, modern style. I love the cool music edit at the beginning. Great choreography. Chemistry for days. I like Tessa's dress. A delightful show program, for sure.

Kaitlin and Jean Luc - Earned It  

This piece is pretty cool. Great choice of music. Kaitlin's one-piece is gorgeous. Sleek show program.

Christina and Anthony - You Are So Beautiful

This young team deserves a special mention. At such a young age, they already have fantastic chemistry and great technique. This show program is a testament to that. It's light. It's heartwarming. It's sincere. I find it very impressive that they are able to display such deep emotions at this stage. They have so much potential, it's ridiculous. The fact that they won a bronze medal on their first Junior Worlds is just amazing. What a way to go for this team. Can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

Top 5 Challenge: Free Dance

1. Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir: Latch

Aw man, this makes me sad to write. I think the reason why this is one of my favorite programs ever is that it was so enjoyable to watch the evolution of the program over the season. Every element was to music, the raw emotion was always present, the way they effortlessly glide across the ice is mesmerizing and artistry within the piece was seamless. An amazing program that I will miss so much.

2. Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue: I Wanna Dance With Somebody

This free dance was beautiful. I absolutely loved the music, I loved the costumes, I loved all of the elements. I loved it

3. Anna Capellini / Luca Lanotte: Chaplin Medley

Aw Anna and Luca have a special place in my heart. They’re beautiful skaters and I feel like they are under appreciated so here I am appreciating this program. 

4. Kaitlyn Weaver / Andrew Poje: Aranjuez 

So crisp, and intense, and beautiful, and romantic, and I loved it.

5. Ekaterina Bobrova / Dmitri Soloviev: Chopin

Love this team. A classic free dance that was super elegant and technically very well executed.

Top 5 SDs - 2016/2017 season

1. Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir - Prince

What can be said about this dance that hasn’t already be said? Well just listen to BESP commentary - it says it all.

2.  Madison Hubbell & Zachary Donohue

It’s a controversial SD but I liked it in the beginning of the season and loved it by the end of it - mostly because H/D were very committed to it and sold it to the max. 

3.  Laurence Fournier Beaudry & Nikolaj Sorensen

This couple is slowly becoming one of my favorites and this SD is wonderful, I hope they’ll get to go to the Olympics next year because they truly deserve it.

4.  Maia Shibutani & Alex Shibutani

While the ponytail trick at the end is totally lame (IMO) the SD in itself is quite good and fit them in style, but maybe I’m just biased since they used Sinatra 😊

5. Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier 

Much like H/D they just sold it to the max and stayed true to their vision, it might not be everyone’s favorite but it was original and refreshing.

Generally speaking this season HipHop/Swing SD was a challenge to quite a few teams, especially in the choreography department. The swing SDs felt way to similar to me (C/L, P/C, B/S) and like all teams interpreted it the same way. And I personally felt that many failed to interpret the Hip Hop style (so much fake and over the top facial expressions combined with arm flailing all over...) so it will be interesting to see how next year's Latin will be interpreted.

Bobrava & Soloviev / Cappellini & Lanotte : I love their lift !!!

Virtue & Moir : can this cameraman be on every competition of T&S, seriously !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hawayek & Baker : the first time I saw them, I was thinking : look at baby T&S ?!!!

Hubbell & Donohue : you don’t have to think to really understand their choreography and their emotion

Top 5 Challenge- Short Dance

1. Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir: Prince Medley

Plain and simple, this program was the epitome of what a short dance could be. Lines, edges, artistry and unison made this program. I will miss it so much.

2. Kaitlyn Weaver / Andrew Poje: Michael Jackson Medley

Ok so I love Kaitlyn and Andrew and they’re amazing performers which made this short program so enjoyable. Their skating skills mixed with the way they sell the program makes it one hell of a program.

3. Madison Chock / Evan Bates: Bad to the Bone/ Uptown Funk

This program got me hooked within the first minute and I was so into it so they made my list.

4. Maia Shiubtani / Alex Shibutani: Frank Sinatra Medley

I liked this one mostly for the pony grab and her body suit. Also really dug their hip hop section.

5. Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue: A Little Bit Of Everything

Great speed, great elements, great people, amazing program.

My TOP 5 SDs for the 2016-17 season...

Virtue/Moir: Do l really need to explain why? This SD had everything.. energy, sexiness, power, speed, unison, precision (and more)...

Hubbell/Donohue: I liked this SD from the beginning of the season and l was so happy to see them perform it with so much energy and confidence at worlds!

Guignard/Fabbri: my little Italians... l know they they aren’t at the top level but l always enjoy watching them and last year l really enjoyed watching them having fun with this SD.

Cappellini/La Notte: Their ability to interpret is second to none. This SD was energetic and very fun to watch in my opinion!

Chock/Bates: I liked their music choice and how much energy they brought every time they performed this SD.

#Top5Challenge Every time I watch their FD I'm surprised, these programs are so intense, emotionally, mentally and physically . Great athletes create great programs
