Ok but its so important that Touka comes clean about the pregnancy.

Touka and Kaneki had a lot of issues, and still have a lot of issues, and secret-keeping / abandonment is a major one.

Touka kept her pregnancy from him. Kaneki found out only because Nishiki assumed he knew and slipped up. I don’t think Touka even realized that he knew. But she comes clean anyway.

And its made clear that her reasons for keeping it secret were:

1) Its still early, she doesn’t want to get their hopes up for nothing. I think that would be fair in even a normal pregnancy, nevermind a hybrid one with the percentages of success they're facing

And 2) Kaneki is so stressed the fuck out, and she didn't want to add to that

And yet… She decides to come clean of her own will here. Not much time has passed since her kicking him out of her room for prying. She learnt on her own, offscreen, that she should really tell him.
