Diesel and Big Boy are both shy and reclusive in nature. Pullman being the opposite, and having a more outgoing, rich older gentleman personality. (I feel like a passenger train would be more social than freight trains) Big Boy is retired. Idk how their world works yet but I imagine company is sparse and Pullman is desperate for company and is just 🧍‍♂️ why do I have to hang out with you social recluses..

honestly shoutout to autistic adults whose special interest is something aimed at really really little kids that most people tend to dismiss and mock the idea of an adult liking it. not specifically ones where culturally people accept them as a nice comfort thing like bluey, i mean people who are elbows deep into barney the dinosaur and peppa the pig lore. yall are stronger than any US marine.

Seeing that everyone else has a humanized version of the Hogwarts express, might as well do my own take on it.

-just like his real life engine basis which is the GWR 4900 Class 5972 Olton Hall, his name is Olton, he is the engineer for the Hogwarts express and is proud of it.

-he is a gryffindor and a pure blood wizard

-unfortunately, he had his wand destroyed by the ministry after a severe accident, Olton was running late after a student pulled the emergency cable, so he decided to use a time-turner to speed things up, but accidentally went too far ahead into the future and wounded up crashing into a stalled truck on the line and derailing the train in the process. Olton was able to save a piece from his wand which he then carved into the face of his pocket watch. he has to manually turn the hands on his pocket watch to cast any spell, however, this method is very FUBAR at times.

-his guard’s whistle is also a portkey (see what I did there)

-if he ever met Duck, they would probably get along at first because both were from the Great Western Railway and thus understood the importance of the Great Western way ™, but then Duck would find Olton’s… eccentricity… a bit odd. ( i.e shoving as many random items he can down the sink’s garbage disposal until it breaks)
