My assumption about you is that you’re not very minimalistic? And that you might be even like to collect little knickknacks, trinkets, or shinies?

Haha that's spot on, anon.

I think part of it is just naturally that I worked as a traditional artist for a decade, and so my house is filled with art, art supplies, sketches, sketchbooks, and thousands of coloured pencils and other mediums etc.

But yeah my hobbies are definitely around - whether it's stationery or Paperblanks journals, Lego or tarot decks or blind box / collector's toys or crystals.

I can be quite mercenary something, once I'm no longer enjoying something I often give it away to someone who will enjoy it.

I'd say I don't actually really like collecting knickknacks/trinkets specifically, there's very specific hobbies all my stuff is connected to. Even the blind box toys serve as artistic inspiration. I like functional pretty things. As soon as it loses its purpose, it goes to someone else.

But I am a big fan of living a healthier childhood as an adult so there are just playful things around :D

I need a train identified!

If it's a post, tag me. Otherwise, send a picture in an ask. For me to reliably identify a train I usually need a decent view down the inside of the carriage. Knowing what service it is is a plus.

Can you identify older/retired trains?

It usually takes me a bit longer, but yes.

What's the deal with your tagging system?

#vintage refers to any identifications of rolling stock that has since been retired. #not an identification is for non-train-identification content. All identified trains are tagged with type and service if applicable.

Why are some trains identified with their service and some aren't?

The NYC subway system often uses different rolling stocks for the same service, unlike similar subway systems like the London Underground. This means that even if I can identify the stock from interior features, there can sometimes be no way of knowing what service the train in the photo is running on if the rollsign or display isn't visible. This isn't the case for some lines that only use a certain stock (for example, the R188 only runs on the 7 Flushing Line) but if I can't tell then I'm not going to guess.

oh i never responded to this.

i'm not confident but my best guess would be a class 158. transport for wales red handle and a carpeted floor with signs of wear. the other tfw sprinters (classes 150 and 153) and class 230 don't seem to have carpeted floors in their refurbishments. the class 197s, 231s and 756s are much newer and use a different carpet. it could be a 175 but at time of posting they are out of service.

so yeah
