Muse Mixup Madness Prompts: April 2025
I haven't seen any MMM posts in a bit, and with April 1st being April Fools I thought it would be fun to provide some prompts for those who would like to play them. These are some common prompts for ease of access!
If you're unfamiliar with it, Muse Mixup Madness is an event in which on the first of the month the character is swapped with their alternate self from the universe one of the prompts applies to. This lasts for a day, then they're swapped back. You can play on your Discord server or on your blog!
Don't forget to tag your posts as #Muse Mixup Madness !
Alignment Swap - Reverse your character's role! If they're usually a heroic type, make them the villain! If they're the villainous type, show us what they'd be like as the hero! If they're more neutral, pick your favorite!
Type Change - Show us your character as either a different trainer class or as a different type specialist! What's your ranger's team and style like as a bug catcher? What's your aroma girl like as a gym leader?
Dream Come True - Your character has achieved their greatest goals and all of their dreams have come true. What does this look like for them? Have new problems arisen, or is their life perfect?

finally working on trainer sprites :) here's what i have so far (names under cut)
top row are all player character templates- basically all the same character, which i've dubbed monday, but each one has its own name i gave. left to right: holiday, then sunday-saturday
middle row:
dogwood (professor)
katherine (rival character)
trina and tristan (twins, traditional player characters but are rivals functionally here)
izzy (first gym, bug type)
owen (second or fourth gym, dark type)
ella (elite four, electric type)
bottom row are trainer classes; lad, lass, and bug catcher

I don't think people appreciate how wild a realistic world with pokemon would be. Stereotyping specific pokemon like we do to things like snakes and sharks. Pop music during pokemon showcases. Pokevision gets an update the entire userbase hates. Bug catchers are a real trainer class. Traffic is significantly lowered because there's so many ways to travel. The entirety of high school education is crammed into kids before the age of 10 so they can go journey. You can catch god in a pokeball.
#idk i just like pokemon a lot#living in the pokemon universe would fix me I think#DragonairIce Rambles

I'm probably not going to do it immediately after We Have Pokémon at Home because I need a small break, but I do find the idea of doing a "who would win this battle" tournament for trainers appealing. I have a few organisational questions to put the tournament together.
First: should we only include unique trainers (gym leaders, rivals, etc.), or also representatives from trainer classes (youngster, lass, bug catcher etc.)?

i like to think that in the pokemon world there's just music everywhere that nobody really knows where it comes from it's just always been there. Each town has a theme, each gym and so on.
There's also battle themes, each person can hear it during the battle. The thing about pokemon trainer classes like bug catcher and lass is that these people aren't really battlers, sure they do battle but they focus on other things more. Actual pokemon battler's have personal themes and these themes grow with them as they advance further ahead, showing more of their true personality. You can tell how serious a person is about a battle based on their theme alone. Champions have especially significant themes, some even having approaching themes.
Needless to say, There's a whole group of trainers who have PTSD from Cynthia's battle theme

Slowly progressing on Wurmple's Bug Catcher outfit for summer cons. Got a little clear bag to evoke the Bug Catcher Trainer Class' bug cage they have on most iterations! Gonna need to make it a little top piece to match the art a little closer.
#furry#fursuit#fursuit friday#Cosplay WIP#cosplay#pokemon#pokemon cosplay#pokemon fursuit#wurmple#cascoon#original content#My blog my content and you owe nothing to the web and whatever but I do promise I still intend to post other cosplays#Between winter and my body failing me for a bit it's just been hard to put on entire costumes to take photos for fun#Meanwhile the furry shit takes like two seconds to set up so it's a lot more feasible currently!#And let's be honest fursuit friday as been putting some much needed routine for sharing photos of my hobbies more often lol

Something that really gets me--why do people assume trainer classes are super age-specific?! Yeah, I'm a Bug Catcher! I catch bugs! Doesn't make me a ten-year-old in shorts!
...As comfy as those shorts are.

<<Hello everyone! It's been a bit so lets get back to some pokeroid showcasing! starting off with the walking terrarium, Torterradome!>>
PKD-0389_Torterradome is a semi twin GEN 2 Quark drive, heavy grass class Pokeroid who was designed to be a terrarium and preserve a small ecosystem of biological lifeforms plant wise. Its a solar powered pokeroid that is able to covert the energy into power for it and its systems that maintain the ecosystem inside it, alongside a couple biological functions of being able to consume soil (or sand) and drink water to store for later use. Torterradome is seen with various biomes can be swapped out by removing the detachable dome on its back, the most common of these is the moss terrarium and pond terrarium, the pond being possible thanks to a water storage system it uses to maintain this. The solar panels on the dome as well as the floating stone, are also quark drive powered. with the tree and leaves being powered by 2 small steel quark drives. Torterradome is often seen in the Sinnoh, Kanjoh, Kitakami, Paldea, and even has made landfall with Unova and Fiore as of 2093! usually being seen with grass type trainers, gardeners, biologists and even popular with some bug catchers florist of Johto with them making Torterradome be able to grow flowers. PKD-0389 was developed and modelled after Torterra, and was made by a group of people in Pastoria city that later became the Lush Organization in 2085. It was made to initially research on making a mobile ecosystem and garden similar to Torterra, but solar-powered and self sustainable.

IEYTD/Pokémon: Everyone's starter Pokémon
Agent Phoenix: Unknown. Some speculate that it might have been a fire type, possibly even a Fennekin like the one they had during their first few missions.
Handler: A Lillipup. He's had a soft spot for dog Pokémon ever since, and always has a Lillipup, Herdier, or Stoutland with him. He still misses the little tyke though.
John Juniper: A Snivy, given to him as a birthday gift. He's been at John's side through countless battles, stage plays, and movies, becoming something of a celebrity alongside his trainer. Though Juniper's ego has certainly evolved over the years, he still treats his Pokémon well and considers Serperior to be his best friend.
Dr. Prism: An Aron. The little critter was a catalyst for her love of strong, durable steel-type Pokémon, which in turn would lead to her going into robotics. Her now not-so-little Aggron is one of Roxana's strongest and most loyal Pokémon.
Fabricator: A Glameow. She admired her litheness and grace, and the cat was a beast in the battlefield and in the contest scene. Those contest days are long gone, and she's starting to get a bit too old to battle, but the Fabricator still pampers her.
Solaris: A Minior. Many of them landed around her hometown, and that was one of the things that fueled her love of space. Discovering the TM for Hyper Beam fueled her obsession with lasers.
Hivemind: A Weedle. He was definitely in the Bug Catcher trainer class when he was a kid.
Charlie Caliente: A shiny Charmander, now fully evolved. He and that Charizard have been through hell and high water together.
Dr. Zor: Unknown, though many Zoraxis operatives speculate that it might have been a Gible. Or possibly a Gligar, or anything else that evolves into something toothy and nasty.

I’ve seen bug catchers in there 70s, never too late to follow your dreams.
I do not think it is an officially recognized trainer class in Unova
