Baby Primes AU Intro Post

Set after the events of Transformers One, the Matrix has done more than make a new Prime. It's brought back the old ones too.

(Yes I finally got around to reworking and planning this (somewhat))

I've had the soundtrack on loop all day while working so of course I ended doing a quick doodle before going to sleep.

Everything is megop is you're deluded enough. BUT. A TFOne AU with these songs????? YES. I need it.

Also, "Your idol" works so well if it's SG OP singing it??? COME ON. And "What it sounds like" works so well with OP, Elita and Bee, too??? But if SG, iamgine SG Megs entering like Rumi interrupting SG OP's song... YEAH.

Also #2, the decepticons are already a boy band at this point.

I dunno, maybe it's just me but I always imagined Starscream being a girl-dad. And since he's Skylimit's carrier, I can imagine the two having some very close memories when she was a infant sparkling. Like, one night, everyone's asleep except for her because she's terrified and crying her little optics out because of a bad dream, Star is the first to come down and calm her down by picking her up while flying and maybe singing a soft Cybertronian lullaby used to comfort sparklings or somethin'.

I'm taking the middle road here.

The Matrix/Primus is not trying to mold Optimus into the ideal leader, but it is tampering with the memories without Optimus’s permission.

It knows its holder is upset by losing D-16. That grief is hurting him, and the longer the war goes on, the more atrocities the Decepticons commit, the more pain it brings Optimus.

The Matrix can't exactly soothe those emotions.

So it suppresses them instead.

Every time Megatron commits an unconscionable act, something that Optimus would have thought his best friend incapable of before, Optimus loses details of their friendship.

By the time this interaction occurs Optimus does not remember Megatron’s former designation or appearance.

He knows he was once friends with Megatron and that they were miners together before Megatron killed him and he was reforged as Optimus. But D-16? D-16 does not exist in his memories.

You know how in TFP Optimus can’t really remember what happened during his time without the matrix. Yeah. The sad version of this what if Optimus met cogless Megatron.
