The matrix is basically a conduit for the power of Primus, so it heals the vessel (aka Optimus) of any wounds or injury he receives. Downside of this though, the matrix takes up the energy of the vessel since it speeds up the healing process and doesn’t just make the injury disappear. Since he’s always in the battlefield and gets hurt a lot, he was always just tired throughout the war (Op was never a morning person anyways even as Orion)

Additionally, the matrix heals quickly, which not only tires him out but the effects leave him in agonizing pain for a few hours depending on how extreme the injury was

The wounds he received as Orion Pax when Megatron shot him in the face and when the matrix was given to him were the only scars that stayed. The scar on his face still hurts even after the war.

Being given the matrix felt like a small sun being carved into his bones (hence the star shaped scar on his chest) and continues to burn still, he just got used to the pain with millions of years of using it.

I have a question to ask and I swear I don’t mean it in a mean way:( Megatron fans what do you guys see in megatron??? Like personally I can’t stand him never liked him at all I keep seeing people say «oh he’s so hot» what? is there something I’m not getting?? I know I’m aroace and doesn’t feel anything but what are you guys seeing in him?????

Is it his voice? Is his voice attractive?? His design? Cause for me he’s ugly as fuck to me, the way he acts?, honestly I don’t see what you guys are seeing so please tell me what’s about Megatron that everybody likes so much(again you Megatron fans are very cool and awsome and make amazing art and storiesI have nothing against you just the character Megatron)
