A thought about Rodimus

Based on a conversation I had either on Bluesky or Twitter a couple days ago.

So the Energon Rodimus clearly had an Alt-Mode that made more sense as an evolution of Hot-Rod's character than the Sci-Fi Caravan he got in G1

Which is likely why FansHobby have repainted/Remolded a version of their Naval Commander/Armada Prime into their take on Rodimus.

But they've missed a trick, they've used the version that they used for Clench which has a different trailer and all of the Super-Robot elements of the cab removed. They should have used the original version of the design, kept the new headsculpt and added Rodimus's signature spoiler....The Super Mode would absolutely have worked as an homage to the unused concept art:

More Spacecraft au, waiter!,! Except I’m the chef and I do what I want.. and just because I could, I changed his head design, I wanted it to look more owl-like (aka the cats of the sky, so I think owls fit him nicely among other reasons) and when coloring, the red visor was always throwing me off when comparing to the rest of the design 🤨

it’s whatever tho cuz I think he’s real pretty ❤️ I also like that when Soundwave, even in the continuities where he’s real short (Bayverse in mind when writing this) he still would have one of the deepest voices in the whole cast 😌and I think that’s neat. Ofc Satellite Soundwave isn’t actually that short in general here, But he is short compared to others like Jetfire which. No surprise, Jetfire’s a huge guy 🙄 but he is opposite in the way Jetfire’s soft spoken instead

Awesome commissioned comic art by @aleciosun for a moment in chapter 3 of this Ao3 story. I really love the expressions in this!

I got inspired to write a Starscream "movie" since I really liked how the Bumblebee movie focused on an individual Transformer and really developed the character. I think it's a strong way to go and would really like to see similar movies do the same. They don't have to all involve humans, but they should try to really give a richness to a few bots.

I think abt this. I think abt the concept art a lot, especially when one of the scenes involved Sentinel Prime instead coming down to the mines to talk to Orion and D-16, instead of having them be up in the medbay after the race to talk to.

I love making designs for Soundwave it’s like drinking cold water to me 😌 this is just a sketch (wip) concept but I’ve been thinking about a cd player Soundwave for quite some time 🤔 tho I’ve settled for a cd player that I found that also works as a cassette/radio/media player (while still having that cd player look) so that I didn’t have to worry about how the cassettes would work 💿 I’m also still figuring out the colors but I’m generally sticking around his One and g1 design for it
