well now im curious 👀 👀

Ok ok so! Luke is the director, I think Silena was a crew member(?, can't remember) and Chris is also in the play and dragged Ethan with him. He joined as a joke and actually got the role.

His co-lead is Alabaster who he doesn't like. At all. They only had one interaction before and it was Al being snippy. (He had an argument with his dad prior and wasn't in the best mood.) So now Ethan thinks Alabaster is an asshole! He also doesn't realise Al and Lou are siblings lmao

Al on the other hand has a tiny, lil crush on Ethan. He thinks Ethan is cool!

Cue Alabaster trying to get close to Ethan during rehearsals, Ethan being wary that Al is trying to find something to make fun off etc etc

Lou and Damien watch the whole drama. They're very very done with their older brothers djsjsj. Lou and Damien are wingmanning now. (Mostly Lou. Because Damien can AND will make fun of his sib)

AND AND!!! Al is missing on the opening night so Ethan goes to find his co-lead who he may or may not developed a crush on.

Meanwhile Al is arguing (read getting yelled at) on the phone with his dad, who is an arts are useless type💀 Whoops. He isn't pleased that his son is actually going through with this, and cares a little too much considering he tells Al he couldn’t care even less about what he does.

Ethan finds Al sitting on the ground. He comforts him and helps him wipe his tears, reapply his makeup etc.

On an another note the play is a modern retelling of Hyacinthus and Apollo :)

The two martial focused artificer subclasses have very simar action economy and concentration challenges as the ranger. It may not be what you prefer but at least one of classes Travis is "more likely" to be still has the mechanics you're hoping for.

I'm not overly familiar with Artificers, so forgive me if I misunderstand things here, but glancing at their mechanics, they don't REALLY have the same challenges in economy and concentration that Rangers do?

Rangers have a challenge in which they're trading off Hunter's Mark vs. the ability to use Ensnaring Strike, Hail of Thorns, Flame Arrows, Lightning Arrow, possibly Healing Spirit or Silence or Spike Growth or Wind Wall or Grasping Vine or even Swift Quiver. And while some of this is reduced if playing a melee-based Ranger, much of it remains, i.e. Zephyr Strike which is pretty good when moving. Artificers share some of these concerns—Fly vs. Faerie Fire vs. Heat Metal vs. Web vs. Magic Weapon—but the fact that the Artificer list is generally more utility oriented than the largely damage oriented ranger concentration list, it's less of a constant challenge. Utility often faces challenge in that use cases are more niche. Rangers have a problem where they're choosing what best sort of damage output is best to spend their concentration on.

Casting a bonus action spell also negates the ability to cast a full action leveled spell, which is a problem considering rangers also have a lot of really good full action spells. This isn't necessarily the same with the Artificer. I don't particularly see "I can use my action to attack or cast a spell" as a unique challenge, considering that's something shared by many others.

Many of the ranger's core spells take up a bonus action, in direct competition with a some important subclass feats and each other. A Horizon Walker can choose to use Planar Warrior or make Swift Quiver attacks, not both. A Monster Slayer has to spread out designating a Slayer's Prey and a Hunter's Mark on separate turns. A Drakewarden can command their drake or cast Hail of Thorns.

So, all that, I'm not sure we're thinking of the same mechanical challenges.

Though, that said, I DO have Artificer down as one of the classes I'd love to see Travis play. And I'd be excited to see him work with it as well.

However, I'm curious why Travis is more likely to be an artificer than a ranger. We don't have any hints thus far about what his choice may be, far as I know, and the need for an Int-based character is actually sort of made up by the fandom. So I'm sort of sitting at the idea that it's impossible to gauge what he may or may not play beyond the presumption he's not playing a warlock again.

Danai Gurira, Julia Roberts, Carol Burnett, Emily Blunt, Lupita Nyong’o, Patricia Clarkson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jameela Jamil, Rosamund Pike, Jim Carrey, Alison Brie, Gemma Chan and Bradley Cooper. Worst dressed goes to Rachel Weisz, Julianne Moore, Layra Dern, Anne Hathaway, Maya Rudolph, Rami Mlek, Molly Sims and Heidi Klum. I was so happy for winners like The Americans (highlight of the evening!!!), Regina King, Lady Gaga, Mahershala Ali, Patricia Clarkson, Darren Criss, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek, Olivia Colman and Green Book.  The Cecil B. DeMille award went to Jeff Bridges. The new Carol Burnett award started off with Carol herself. I was saddened that Bill Hader, Henry Winkler, Kieran Culkin, Keri Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen went home empty handed. The Fiji water girl got most of the press and gave much free advertising to her product.  Some of the stars did not like her getting in their shots to push a product without their knowledge, both a clever and sad state of affairs.

The WTF award goes to Alison Brie.

***** The Oscar race is on. Best picture could go to Blank Panther, Blackkklansman, Roma, The Favourite, Green Book, Vice, Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is born. Black Panther also got some love for music and costume design.  Fingers crossed for Isle of Dogs in the animated category. Actor nods had a few surprises. Willem Dafoe and Rami Malek , Lady Gaga and Melissa McCarthy are up for leads and supporting mentions are for Mahershala Ali, Regina King, Adam Driver and Sam Elliott. I am so hopeful for Spike Lee and I want to hear that speech.

It does not seem like they tried any of that and just decided we would pay for the stupid ‘wall.’ How about the money he makes off Trump merch which his website and hotels still sell to pay for it?? How about the $35 million that Trump sold in real estate in 2018? The ‘Wall’ go fund me did not reach its $1billion goal so the $20 million they did collect is being offered for refunds. Some of those people still want that money to go for its purpose so Trump is creating a non- profit. Can’t we use that money to help the border patrol agents and get the backlog in immigration court moving?? That we are still talking about this ridiculous wall and that it had a go fund me page is enough to boggle the normal brain.** I think Kimmel said it best when he suggested that Trump just tell the red hats that the wall has been built.  They believe everything he says so why wouldn’t they believe that??  It would save the country a lot of headaches. ** What the Hell is with his new “wheels and walls” mantra??** Russia caused Brexit too?
