aesthetics but for trees

i like trees. i like aesthetics. hewe we go uwu

willow: harmonies in soft songs, the very end of a rain storm, playing pretend in the woods, opening a book to find pressed flowers, fields of wheat and lavender swaying in a breeze.

oak: getting let out of school on a friday, scrapes and bruises from falling down stairs, running through a sprinkler, playing board games that no one really likes, getting the lead in the school musical.

pine: running your hands through someone’s hair, cleaning out an old cottage, reading books by the light of a lamp, the sound of a washing machine, accidentally drinking paint water, petting a cat.

birch: drawing on your shoes, lemonade in tall glasses, sleeping in until late afternoon, meeting your friends at the pool, trying on silly clothes, the smell of a freshly cleaned house.

cherry blossom: your fingers being sticky after eating watermelon, hair getting in your face, new notebooks, loose paper scattered on a desk, getting just the right amount of sleep, color coding everything.

((ive been meaning to do something like this for a while, and even though we don’t have to do an entry for @typesofhumans contest anymore i thought i’d do one anyways! you’re really inspiring :) ))
