Harry was stood at the front of the stage, the microphone steady in his hand as he was about the place it back on the stand. Nyoh was standing next to him, the guitar heavy in her hand as she waited for Harry to perform the next song.

YN was stood on the floor area at the side of the stage. Close enough Harry could see her, but slightly away from the crowded barrier area.

Harry looked to his left to see YN standing there next to Jeff and Brad. YN had woken with a headache that morning and despite her insisting that she was fine now that she had taken a paracetamol, Harry couldn’t resist checking in on his girlfriend.

Catching YN’s eye, Harry brought the mic up to his lips so she could hear him. “YN? How’s your head?”.

Before Harry had chance to add anything to his question, YN voice shouted across the way filling the ears of everyone between them. “Never had any complaints!”.

Instantly Harry eyes widened as he realised the sarcastic response he had from YN. But whilst Harry shook his head with an amused grin, YN wore a bit smirk, very satisfied with the reaction she got from the screaming crowd and Harry’s blushed cheeks.

“Oh my god! That my friends is YN in a nutshell!”.

hii this is a little poem kind of in the format of a children’s book that i wrote for an open mic night! it’s meant to be silly and unserious lol so be nice to me

my mom is butch

every kid in my first grade class has a mom and dad but I think I’m one of the lucky ones because my mom is butch

at the end of the school day, I can hear my mom is walking down the hallway by the jingling of the keys on her carabiner

we get in her subaru but she calls it Jess; the main character from her favorite book

on the ride home I ask mom how she met mommy and she tells me something about a cubbyhole*, I tell her I have one of those in my classroom and she laughs. I can’t believe mom and mommy have been together for so long.

sometimes my aunts and uncles come to visit, and even though they don’t look like mom they all dress like her have, fun short haircuts and smell like cologne.

I love my aunts and uncles because they helped my mom build the treehouse in the backyard for my birthday.

if you ask me what butch means, I would say it means smart, strong and unique while being loving and caring because that’s what my mom is

oscar scoffs, staring off camera as he takes the phone into his hands. “excuse me for writing the way i was taught.” he lifts up the phone. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who didn’t know what a kilometer was until he was 15.”

“because i grew up miami, the fuck,” logan mutters. he sighs. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who has a million problems with drs, which, seems to only be his issue.”

“whatever.” oscar scrunches his nose. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who tripped when she was stepping up to the podium and then cried about it for a half hour on the way home.”

“wow,” she mutters, eyebrows furrowed as her cheeks slowly turn red. “passing the phone to somebody who barely remembers our trip to barcelona because he partied too hard.”

“passing the phone to somebody who’s a 21-year-old virgin but gives advice like she’s a licensed therapist,” oscar says quickly, putting the phone down to smirk at her smugly.

“i’m passing the phone to somebody who had a crush on our literal best friend,” oscar says, leaning into the mic and whispering as he looks around cautiously.

logan stares into the camera wide-eyed, slowly turning to oscar who’s giggling in the corner. “what the f-“

he reappears at the camera, calmer this time. “passing the phone to somebody who talked to the quiet girl making top 30’s during karting because he thought she was kinda cute.”

oscar sighs. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who cried outside the club in singapore because the food we ordered for dinner was too spicy for her to handle eating.”

she rolls her eyes. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who got catfished in secondary school by a guy pretending to be a girl.”

logan smiles, cheeks red as he held the phone up. “i’m passing the phone to somebody who got broken up with over a 13-second phone call.”

“low blow,” she frowns. “passing the phone to somebody who pulled up to the club with fake eyelashes because he lost a bet to me.”

“passing the phone to the girl that picked up and adopted three kittens she found in a box at the corner of the street in austin at 5am after a night out,” logan scowls.

Paisley was a BOSS stand up for herself. LETS FREAKING GO!!!!!

Thank the gods Olly realized his mistake(s).

He felt that. You could see it on his face he felt that he felt that and that's when he realized that he was subconsciously(?) trying to change Paisley and-

What Andrea said left him having tears down his face. This beach realized what he did and probably hating himself for it right now, but now he knows what he did, because he understood what she was saying. He knows that it sucks, having to change, and now he realizes that he was changing Paisley.

Honestly, Olly going up onto the stage and seemingly canceling Paisley's performance because she didn't want to, was really big of him if you think about it. He built all that, with the slightly forced help of Paisley. He was accepted into society, and he was about to let everyone down, everyone in Heartlake, just for the sake of making it up to Paisley, and after he was so obsessed with the fame, I think this is really big of him.

He should definitely give a direct apology though. I'm actually writing a fic about it now. I feel like after Andera left, he properly apologized. The setting feels right and everything.

Paisley was amazing in this episode, can I just say? We all know it fr. She was a QUEEN for what she did. Especially at the ending; tbh it was a bit weird when Paisley came out to perform, but this time she did it for herself, not Olly.

In a way, as much as Olly hurt Paisley, he also helped her become who she really is. Paisley also helped Olly realize that he needs to focus on others needs too, before it got worse.

Summary: I'm really proud of Paisley and Olly at the ending, I loved this episode, it made me cry tears of pain and some of joy. It was amazing to see Andrea again, and some parts were hilarious while others were angsty. 10/10 episode, I swore Ninjago writers wrote this XD

a while back, i think in september! we had made an au set in the 1800's, the main premise was the idea of Maverick and Rainy growing up together...

i think it's rather sweet! (and as the title says, it's called Mismatched Rings! Why? well... we'll tell you soon!)

Maverick's parents (Melinda & Forest) and Rainy's parents (Juniper & Rocket) were very close friends way before the two were born, the Mic's and the Dewdrops have had a long term friendship for decades! You could say their fathers fathers were friends and those fathers fathers were friends before that...

the two families estates were close by... or frankly next each other, so the two were always around one another!

hehe, they had built a treehouse in between the two estates... Rainy and Maverick frequent the little structure quite often!

For his much younger husband though, that extra family time and arranging the complicated overthrow of the corrupt precinct leadership left very little time to practice his longstanding hobby/calling of creative comedy. Trapped between competing priorities, Peachy hit a breaking point.

The obvious solution, of course, was to get back into comedy gigs, but he hated to lose any of his irreplaceable time with Jack or drag loving Papa Jack away from little Luigi to visit venues together. His job already kept him from his two best guys more than he liked, and so as much as he missed performing, he found it hard to justify spending even more time away from them for what was still essentially a hobby.

His creative mind threw all sorts of ideas around, including one vivid dream about running his own business selling his culinary creations. He woke up with a smile on his face, but in the light of day the avid chef quickly realized that a second job was the opposite of what he needed.

Watching how much joy Jack found in woodworking in the backyard with their boy, Peachy tried to join him in building a treehouse, but found the project too advanced for his amateur skills. With so much to learn and hands used to paperwork and kneading dough, wood was literally too hard a medium.

Next, he tried fabric and needlepoint, which he could bring with him wherever his loved ones were. While that was easier, all the pinching and poking of his fingers, and the distraction of trying to master new skills, seemed to be a bad solution that took his attention away from those family moments.

Finally, he had to admit that biting the bullet and scheduling some time to focus on continuing his comedic mastery was the best plan.

Jack reminded Peachy that comedy had always been part of their life together, and no one had ever asked him to give it up. As much as they loved their boy, an occasional date night event with just the two of them certainly wouldn’t be wasting the time they had together. They hit the rec room computer and picked out an open mic event on a night that super nanny Cole was available to look after Luigi for them.

His old friends Noah the Strangerville lab tech and Cullen from high school showed up to support him and enjoy some adult conversation at the bar afterward. Revisiting their past gave Peachy the drive he needed to set things in motion to secure his future.

“Oh Harry!”

Our Story Masterlist Summary: Anne’s reaction to ‘Keep Driving’ lyrics.

“Can I read this out?” Harry asked the two fans, who were standing at the barricade of the Cardiff show holding up a sign. “Your sign says thanks for teaching my daughter about cocaine and side boob”. 

Whilst the fans cheered and went crazy about the famous line in Keep Driving, Harry laughed and walked across the stage. “Uhh goodness!”. 

Harry walked back towards where the two fans were standing. “Scott..let me tell yeh…the first time I played that song to my mother…be glad you weren’t there that’s all I’m saying…I wish I wasn’t”. Harry chuckled to himself. 

“YN? Where are you?”. Harry spoke into his mic as he put it back on the stand. “You wish you wasn’t there either don’t you?”. He looked out to the side of the stage, where he spotted her standing next to Jeff and Brad.

Like his previous two albums, Harry wanted to play his new album to his Mum before it was released and shared with the whole world. Majority of the album had been played and Anne was listening intently, but Harry had forgotten about a particular line in Keep Driving that may raise his mother’s eyebrows.

“Cocaine, side boob, choke her with a sea view”.  

Anne’s head turned to Harry quickly as she processed the lyrics. Harry couldn’t quite read his mother’s reaction, but her eyes were large and wide, shock very clear on her face. 

“Side boob and do what with a sea view?”. Anne questioned Harry at his choice of words. At this moment he wanted to ground to swallow him up. He looked to YN for help but she only shrugged her shoulders and smirked at him. 

“Choke her”. Harry repeated the lyrics, hoping that would be the end of the conversation. 

“Choke who? YN?”. Anne continued with her questioning, she was very eager to understand what and who Harry was referring to. 

“Mum, they’re just lyrics”. Harry tried again to avoid his mother’s questions. 

“You can’t choke her…the poor soul!” Anne’s comment was serious. YN tried to hide her smile as she tucked her lips into her mouth, as she really wanted to explain how much she enjoyed it. 

“Mum!” Harry couldn’t hold back a laugh at his next words. “It’s not a nasty choke…it’s a yah know…a kinda sexual one”. 

“Oh Harry!”. Anne’s once pale cheeks at a hint of pink to them, at the realisation of the hidden meaning behind her son’s song lyrics. “Play the next song!”.

Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (568): Fri 6th Oct 2023

Since September 1st when I started my Jerry Seinfeld inspired task of writing jokes every day for a year I have almost half filled my notebook with jokes (most of them okay, some of them just stupid puns and a few of them good). My plan is to continue this challenge for an entire year and then go to London to take part in the King Gong competition at the comedy store or try to find an Open Mic night up here using the very best jokes I come up with between now and September 1st 2024. All I’m hoping for is to get a few laughs before getting booed off but even if I do get booed off it won’t matter because I can cross “Stand Up Comedy” off my bucket list and I will officially be a failed stand up comedian. I think that I’ve come up with quite a few decent one liners but of course ultimately the only judge of whether the jokes are any good or if I can cut it as a comedian will be an audience. However tonight before bed k watched a clip of Demetri Martin on Ellen doing a stand up routine and one of the jokes I’ve written is actually one that he did years earlier. The joke I wrote went “Treehouse’s are kind of fucked up because you’re killing a living thing and then decorating another living thing with its remains”. In this clip Martin says “A treehouse is quite insensitive. Its like saying ‘I kills your friend. Hold him’. Even though I’m disappointed I’m also quite stoked because even if the joke I thought of has been done before I still had the same thought that a professional comedian did so at least I’m starting to think like a comedian does. I don’t think I’ve heard Martin do this joke before but it’s possible I may have seen it and then forgotten it and rather than coming up with it myself it’s actually just seeped out of my subconscious. Although I’m choosing to interpret this development as proof that I’m making progress it does mean that when the time does come that I’ve written a years worth of jokes I’m also going to have to spend another full year Googling the jokes I’ve come up with to make sure I haven’t stolen any of them.

You had enjoyed the short break between the Australian and Azerbaijan prix, being able to travel around a bit, but you had noticed some of the most ridiculous rumours appearing as it was obvious the fans had nothing else to do.

You in fact had your own rumour that was quickly shot down. Many started speculating that you were dating Harry Styles as you were both seen in the same city. To say it was random would be an understatement, but you were quick to find humour in it, quickly posting a poorly edited photo of a cutout Harry Styles next to you.

However, your favourite rumour from the break would be that of Fernando and Taylor Swift’s supposed relationship.

The moment you stepped back into the paddock, you could hear Taylor Swift songs blasting from what looked to be Lando’s speaker. This welcoming caused you to laugh as you watched Fernando just walk past it, pretending like he couldn’t hear.

He soon approached you, his stride seeming to falter as he spotted you, already realising how fun you were going to find the next few days. You wiggled your eyebrows at him, a smirk sculpting your features as he shook his head swiftly, trying to get you to stop.

You only continued to walk past him, already plotting the amount of Taylor Swift references you could fit into a conversation.

“So Y/n, how excited are you to be back after the short break?” The interviewer asks as you smile back.

“Very excited to be back, it’s, uh, very enchanting to be here as I quite like this circuit.” You answer, smirking at the camera after you make the reference.

“How well do you think you’ll be able to perform this weekend?” He continues.

“Well, I believe that if we put enough effort into it and give it our all we’ll be able to perform at our best. For the qualifying, I can only hope there will be be a blank space for me to be able to get a personal best and place high up on the grid.” You continue to have a cheeky smile on your face, loving how you’re able to continue with the references.

“Okay, thank you.” The interviewer finishes, you nodding a goodbye before handing him your mic, walking away with a large smile.

You had just finished quali, placing 5th on the grid but still wishing you could have done more. You had noticed a small clash a while back between Alonso and Ocon but still managed to push through.

“ Y/n, are you happy with where you placed today?” An interviewer asks.

“Uhm, well there’s always room for improvement, I believe we could have done better but what’s done is done and now all we need to focus on is how to gain positions on Sunday.” You answer.

“You had only just escaped the incident between Ocon and Alonso as the Alpine’s car had nearly caught onto your car, how do you feel about it?” She questions.

“Well, I’m grateful to have only just missed it as I would have most likely stayed in P7, but in this job you have to be pretty fearless and so I didn’t find it to be much of a concern. In regards to the duo, we’ll just have to hope there’s no bad blood between them.” You throw yet another smirk to the camera before finishing up the interview and walking away.

You finally arrive at a small room, opening the door to see multiple other drivers, including Fernando, sitting down on chairs talking.

Quickly, you walk in, saying hi to the fellow drivers as Alonso sends you a joking glare.

“I saw your interview earlier.” Fernando comments as you smile.

“What can I say? I’m a mastermind at references.” You answer.

“Is that another Taylor Swift reference?” He questions whilst you just shrug your shoulders.

“Maybe.” You only say as Alonso shoots you yet another glare as the others in the room begin to laugh at your teasing, enjoying the embarrassed look on the elder driver's face.
