Let's pretend we're not in love...with The Reds, Pinks & Purples... Some new ones in here, like "Learning To Love A Band", and new old ones like "Public Arts", and ones I haven't even heard before, like tracks 07 and 08, which I gave names but aren't totally confirmed beyond what I can hear as either an intro or chorus refrain. At first, nobody was up front but magically, people started coming down front to commiserate with the group first in ones and twos, then in larger groups. Wish I could have joined them but was committed to my recording and not moving around overly much.
Only required a bit of tweaking but sounds pretty good!

Hindi serials have such amazing beginnings sometimes with characters that set the screen on fire with their chemistry and then makers decide to throw in illogicial irrelevant bs. Waiting for the day we have a set number of episodes with good and logical storylines. I know web series exist but there’s a charm to serials, they just need fixing.
#chand jalne laga#the show was going so well#it’s so unfair to the actors too they are so talented we see them expressing emotions through their EYES LORD#the whole trp thing too tho makers make stuff that works for the larger audience but WHO LIKES THE ILLOGICAL IRRELEVANT STUFF#there’s so much scope for masterpieces and I hate seeing it all go down the drain#hindi serials#[p]

The date of Vesuvius Eruption & Silver denarius of Titus
Silver denarii of Titus which were minted in September 79 CE. Coins have a text TRP VIIII IPM XV COS VII PP . Such a coin was discovered at the House of the Golden Bracelet in Pompeii and this is another fact that hints that Vesuvius Eruption must have taken place after August 24 (traditional date).
coin1: the original - National Museum of Naples,
coin 2: polished collector's coin - Classical Numismatic Group

We spent the weekend at our bay house. Dominic took the boys back home today, but I'm staying until Tuesday morning so I can finish (for once and hopefully all) my comps portfolios. I also have to evaluate a couple hundred mentorship applications, as well as a handful of full-length manuscripts for my freelance jobs. This is all work that has to be completed by the end of the month, and the way it's all converging at once is miserable, especially since I'm going to "lose" a week's worth of work time because my big conference is in two weeks.
In addition to the above, I also need to book plane tickets and make dinner reservations for myself and the friends I'm meeting up with at the conference. I need to start making edits on the poetry manuscript I'm editing for TRP. And I need to write a revision plan and back copy description for my own manuscript (soon book!) of poems. I also have some minor grading to catch up on for the classes I'm teaching.
All this business is temporary, though. I'll hopefully be on the road to scheduling my defense soon. This particular portion of my mentorship job will pass. I'll have more time for everything in the near future! But the present is a tough slog of deadlines and a brutal glut of work.
This weekend was nice, though. I spent a lot of quality time with my toddler. At home in P-ville, our front yard is a big hill that slopes straight into the street and our backyard has a pool, so it's difficult to take Riv outside without experiencing extreme anxiety pretty much the entire time. But here--while we do have the bay out back--we live at the intersection of a quiet, flat street, so Riv spent a lot of time on his balance bike (he always calls it a "bicycle race;" so cute). He also did a lot of coloring and painting, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and bouncing and kicking a kickball with me. His imagination is taking off, which is fun to witness too. I don't love playing with little children, but I did enjoy all this quality time with him, especially since the weather was so mild and pleasant.
Now the boys are gone, and it's just Scout and me in this quiet house. I love quiet and solitude, but I do struggle at first when I'm here and my family is not. It feels wrong, and I feel sad and lonely. I've learned, however, that that feeling fades after a while, and then I can focus on my work and enjoy some alone time, which I never, ever get anymore, unless I'm here.
I don't know how I would have accomplished my PhD work this school year if I didn't regularly take these little mini work retreats. This push at the end has been so difficult and laborious, so I'm lucky I've been able to duck out of family life for a day or two occasionally to try to finish the work for this degree. My comps process has taken three years! I had two babies in the middle of it, and I moved across the country, and I take care of a toddler and homeschool my oldest son (and there's the matter of beginning in a pandemic), so there's plenty of reasons for why it's taken me so long. I will be so grateful to be on the other side of this when I can celebrate what a huge accomplishment this will be--at least from the perspective of the pure doggedness and tenacity I've demonstrated by continuing to plug along despite it all.

["t-t-ty-typing o-out yo-your c-c-character's st-stutter l-like this" is virtually unreadable and instantly makes me want to walk away from the RP, but since you've made your ch-character the guild's helpless shy baby darling,] thank you! As someone who has a sister who stutters pretty severely on occasion, this just isn’t realistic or done very well. Just put it in your trp somewhere, if you must. Also now I’m wondering if we are talking about the same annoying guild st-stuttering p-princess.

Fun fact: I originally had a slightly different idea for the TRP webcomic a few months back in June 2024.
My original idea was to make an animatic for The Resurrection Project. A 4 minute animatic to Machine Love by Jamie P.
For whatever reason I never managed to gather up the motivation to finish it. But here's the first few storyboards I made. They've been just.... lying around for a few months now. Might as well share them because they sure as hell won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Lol.

#also please go listen to Machine Love.#and tell me if its TRP-coded or not#i cant be the only one out there that thinks it is#trp webcomic#glados

I was initially planning to bring Andrea to the Stranglethorn Bonfire Bash again this year, but I was sitting in bed like, five days before the event when I wondered if the name "Cwab" was taken on Epsilon yet. It took me a solid two hours to get it out of my head enough to actually sleep, and the first thing I did in the morning was check... and it was indeed not taken. From there it was a pretty easy jump to Boggie's "I role played a character who doesn't speak Common so I didn't necessarily have to engage with folks and it was great" story from last year, and a bit of learning how to actually Do Things on Epsilon that retail servers don't allow, and I got to spend nearly all of this year's in-game event "RPing" as a crab :D
But an actual crab can't really do much when it comes to a transmog contest, and that was the one event I actually wanted to participate in. I could have brought Andrea for that, but I spent three days putting together the outfit while on Cwab, not on Andrea, and I didn't realize that that wasn't ideal until nearly the last second. Instead, I changed my TRP "currently" to some line about a kindly naga sea witch having temporarily granted a humanoid body to my crab, which lasted just long enough for the mog contest, and then (when I washed out of the first round of Melonbane right after) wore off, at which point everybody's new favourite crab friend scuttled off (to go chase transmog on my priest on retail).
I didn't win but I wanted to draw my outfit anyway because I felt in need of some personal redemption; during the contest itself, my orange layer blended in a little too well with the red, and it looked like all one piece unless you were super close, which nobody really was. I did all my mog stuff in MogIt and the Swimsuit mall, and Bonfire Isle itself was a different lighting environment. Knowledge for next year!
And also because female dwarves are cute :P
#xellart#world of warcraft#fanart#dwarf#stvbb23#I didn't see ANY female kul tiran at the bash this year :(#last year there was ONE other#other than me#both of us made different choices this year lmao#(I also might have missed them if they were there)

ConditionsYieldExperimental ProcedureXIII N-terminal tetrapeptide sulfate ester hydrazide of CRLbutyl ester and coupled with DCC to the Tyr-sulfate ester-resin. After deblocking with 50% TFA/CH2Cl2 (v/v), BOC-Glu(p-nitrophenyl ester) and pGlu(pentafluorophenyl ester) are respectively used for stepwise coupling. The tetrapeptide sulfate ester is cleaved from the resin in DMF with 30-fold excess hydrazine and isolated by precipitation with ethyl ether. It is further purified by precipitation from DMF with ethylacetate, yielding a pure Caerulein 1-4 tetrapeptide hydrazide suitable for further synthesis.
