CHARACTER PROFILE:

Name: Trill

Species: Beastformer/Maximal

Alignment: Autobot

Age: Unknown

Trill is a beastformer who came to Earth from the planet Cybertron, making themselves a home on a small island they landed on. Their beast mode takes on the form of what humans call an owl, although the form chosen is a small species of owl. Despite their tiny size they are still a skilled archer and reliable scout, carefully executing any assignment they're given. Their main weapon is a bow that is embedded into their left leg and the feathers of their wings act as the arrows necessary for said bow. They also have a secondary ability, their claws. Whether in beast mode or in robot mode they can shoot metal thorns out of their hands as a means of defense.

They lived on the little island for around 9 decacycles before they were unfortunately chased off by the dino bots being homed there. The dino bots turned the island into their territory and almost burned Trill to a crisp, prompting them to leave and fly somewhere else. They would later find refuge in an abandoned warehouse close by, not realizing it was now the Autobot secret base. They were later discovered by Prowl and carefully handled with his knowledge of Earth animals, just for him to quickly find out they were another Transformer. From then on, Optimus would take them under his wing and teach them the ways of the Autobots, from then on joining them in the fight against the Decepticons.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Optimus Prime - Super kind and fatherly. Likes to push Trill to their full potential and throw challenges at them while they have casual down time together. Also let's them rest on his shoulder as a perch.

Bumblebee - ADHD besties type vibe. Bee is absolutely much more obnoxious and hyper, but Trill likes to go flight racing with him to stretch their wings. They think he's definitely a bit too reckless for his own good.

Bulkhead - Super sweet guy and very talented artist, albeit clumsy a lot of the time! Trill enjoys being a live study for him to paint and getting to see the end result. Sometimes they sketch portraits of him in return.

Ratchet - Started off really mean and grouchy at first, though he really is *still* grouchy, but once you get closer to him he lets his guard down a little. Truly just a caring old man at spark.

Prowl - Likes watching nature documentaries with him, and if not meditating they'll have friendly sparring sessions with him. Good to keep themselves in shape and have silly banter.

Jazz - Super nice and really fun to hang out with. His curiosity and cool temper make a great combo for Trill to tell him all about beastformers and how they live in the wild. He clearly gets his interests from Prowl.

Blurr - Honestly might be the one autobot they really dislike. He views himself so highly for being on the elite guard and his super fast speech hurts their ears. They'd prefer to not be around him if possible.

Sari Sumdac - Really cute little girl they enjoy spending their time with. They have some trust issues with her father, but Sari and Trill grew closer once they learned she was half cybertronian. They would later become a pseudo mentor for her.

Baby's first kpop albums! ✨

Feeling the urge to share and document my journey into this lil fandom world, so here we are.

My bestie/roommate got into Stray Kids a little over two years ago, so I've been tangentially slowly entering as well. 5-STAR was their first big comeback of her Stay journey, so there's a lot of memories attached to it even though I was a much more casual fan at the time. We still have glow-in-the-dark stars in our hallway from her birthday party that year. 💖 Towards the end of last year when we got tour tickets for her upcoming birthday, I was like alright I need to actually know all their names and do a listen through of their discography to feel prepared. (mostly I just kept mixing up Seungmin and I.N.'s names at this point - I knew all of their faces) Thankfully Hallucination being top two for me of Hop helped clear that up quick.

New Year's Eve we, and another bestie whose ult group is Twice, had a cute night where we made bin-goal sheets. Somewhere along the way my roomie had shown me Bouncy by ATEEZ, and I immediately added it to my ass shaking playlist. So, having gotten Stray Kids down, and knowing Bangchan was my bias since day 1 (that booty), I put figuring out my ATEEZ bias as one of my bingo boxes. We rang in the new year holding and cheersing lightsticks, me borrowing my roommate's lightiny like a fuckin omen.

The first week of the year I searched "ateez memes" on TikTok and the first video that popped up was Yunho telling the fish to stay still and gently slapping it. Immediately sold. So I dove deep, and by mid-month I had all of Ateez's members down. I went on a combo work/personal trip at the end of January, and was able to listen to all of Stray Kids and Ateez's discography in all the travel time.

At this point I'm truly down the rabbit hole and loving it being a fun creative reprieve from the *gestures*. We all woke up in the middle of the night the other week to livestream the Towards the Light finale, went to see Seventeen's Right Here at the theater last night, are going to see the Dominate tour in two months, and will hopefully🤞 be snagging In Your Fantasy tickets next week.

After some deliberating, I wanted to get my favorite of their albums to start out. So I grabbed these on April Fools Day ✨

5-STAR is what I gravitate to the most often, with ITEM being a personal fav and the rest of the album stacked with bangers that have the early hazy "I dunno exactly what's going on but I'm here for it" secondhand fixation energy attached to them. Then Outlaw has Bouncy, unintentionally going for the albums with what feels like my intro to the groups. It overall has such a good breadth of sound, leaning towards their grittier side that I revel in. Plus my current all time fav Wake Up, which I loved for the relatable disassociation vibes and later for the kinda jarring incredibly delicious dance. Of course I got the diary version, bookish lil nerd I am.

I'm not huge into the man paper aspect, but feels sentimental that I opened 5-STAR first and pulled Bangchan first, as he was my first ever bias. I've also recently been rotating all the boys from both groups in my brain like rotisserie chickens to get to know them better, and Hyunjin has held a special relatable artsy silly space - so happy to get a cute pink haired pc of him. Pulled the San and Yeosang pc for Outlaw first and did absolutely melt. Love the pinky Minky, and one of my friends has the same so we get to have twin Mingi son papers. And whatta lovely Seonghwa pc to pull right before his birthday, love my genderless fashion icon. I think that was the Hello82 exclusive extra pc because it was a ver A pc. And while I don't really get the partner cards, it feels blessed to also pull my original bias' Yunho in my first album.

I think I'm going to save now to order a massive backlog of tour DVDs all at once, because I'm chill with streaming access to music but enjoy the hell outta watching the high quality tour recordings. Would love to have those to watch whenever.

One day I'll probably go in depth about my biases, etc. or I'll let those thoughts just trickle out with smaller posts. Currently working on my Twice and SVT education aka solidifying knowing their names, figuring out my bias wreckers, and going through discography listens. ✨

2024 Watch List pt3

Takura-kun & Amagi-kun - This has lots of the Japanese traits that I don’t always love but I did find myself warmed by it. It’s basically two boys being teenage and idiotic whilst learning how to love and be loved. I really liked the two besties in this. 3/5 (13/3/24)

Although I love you, and you? - Apparently this is wildly different from the manga so people were hating on it but, with zero knowledge of the manga, I have to say I enjoyed it. Very silly but had a nice emotional depth to it and Sakae & Soga made for interesting leads. Also loved the little found family of friends and bar regulars. 3 ½/5 (15/3/24)

One Room Angel - This could really only be Japanese. Beautiful, bittersweet and healing this does come with a lot of trigger warnings but if you can stomach it’s darker elements it’s really worth the journey. 4/5 (26/3/24)

Love is science (BL cut) - Just about an hour on YouTube this was delightful. Undoubtedly would not have enjoyed all the different het storylines but these two should have been a show on their own. Just lush. (No rate because it’s a cut. 28/3/24)

Senpai this can’t be love - Errm. Elements I really liked, and I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as some make it out to be, but it did have a very naff ending and they deserved a better kiss. These two were cute but probably not one I’ll reach to rewatch. 3/5 (30/3/24)

WaterBoyy - I really only watched this because I’m a dumbass with completionist tendencies. It’s a show? The story and script are absolutely insane. There is so much het nonsense, which I entirely skipped, weird dated language and extremely 2017 dubcon. I can give a lot of old shows a pass for being of their time but this is bad even by 2017 standards. I’ll give it a half point for being moderately well acted. But that’s it. 1/2 (1/4/24)

Our Dating Sim - Very cute. Packed a surprising amount of story into a short time frame. Also delivered some nice kisses. 3/5 (2/4/24)

Jun & Jun - Enjoyed most of this. Episodes 5 & 6 felt a little redundant. Great kisses, much higher heat than standard for a K BL. Would have loved more from the manager & idol pairing, they had an interesting history and I’d like to have seen them a little more developed. I could understand why no man could resist Lee Jun’s face, a 100% cutie. 3/5 (3/4/24)

Love is better the second time around - Much to love about this one. The acting all round was stunning, Aloha as Senpai’s bitchy assistant was hilarious and I need him in a main BL role again soon, the leads were able to tell whole stories in subtle facial expressions. I think the end was satisfying but I did feel like it could have used 8 episodes instead of 6. 4/5 (10/4/24)

Unknown - Quite the surprise. I’m a little hesitant with the pseudo incest, brother lover whatever the hell you want to call it trope. But this was done beautifully well. A mild melodrama with slice of life and found family at its core this is wholly worth your time and I loved it a lot. 5/5 (20/4/24)

We Best Love (1) - I definitely did enjoy this but it also didn’t overly wow me. Shu Yi is my perfect brand of arrogant stupidity wrapped up in a pissed off little cat package so he was an easy and delightful sell for me. Also obsessed with the cousin doctor. Sam Lin and Yu have extremely good chemistry and I’m excited to watch the second series. 3 ½/5 (29/4/24)

Two Worlds - This was silly and pulpy from the get go and stayed that way. The holes have holes in this and the ending was very expected but, having said all this, I still very much enjoyed myself. Wandee knows that mindless pulp & MaxNat are a great combo and truly it is. Would make an easy, delicious spam. 3/5 (16/5/24)

Boys be brave - This felt more Japanese than Korean in some parts? Lots of character examination and broken boys being stubborn. (100% more so in the secondary pairing which really never got explored enough for my tastes.) Overall I found this very enjoyable and it didn’t entirely fluff its ending up. 3 ½/5 (16/5/24)

23.5 - I don’t think this is without its issues but the things it did well I feel it did really well. The teens in this were authentically stupid and all their problems were also accurately teen. Ignore reviews telling you the writing is bad, it isn’t, it’s just extremely specifically teen. None of the problems the girls have are relatable for adults honestly but if you’re someone who never outgrew your teen angst or is just able to remember that period well you’ll enjoy this. Milk & Love were superb as was the entire cast. I’d love more light GL stories like this one and less melodrama and sadness. 3 ½/5 (24/5/24)

10. How does their ancestry (race) play into their class and mythic path - do they overlap, or what dynamic is created from that combination?

Listen I'm gonna be real with you here. I was going for the most Early 2000s Hot Topic Goth on Deviantart OC I could get with him. Initially I was going to go Aasimar (Musetouched) because up til recently I've always played him as an Aasimar. Primarily because I'm a sucker for wings and exploring the dichotomy between atheism and holy ancestry. But then I saw that Vampire King ancestry and was like. What if I could make his life so much worse? And friends, it was revelatory. (And I'd just shown my fiancé Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust for the first time. I think it was a sign.)

The dynamic that comes from him being a Dhampir and a Celestial/Arcane bloodrager is one of desperately trying to find equilibrium. His celestial and undead heritage are at war inside him both physically (SO much chronic pain) and psychologically (SO much emotional damage from warring expectations) and barely held together by the arcane magic he persues (SO many dysfunctional coping mechanisms) that eschewing them all to walk the Azata path was all he could do to - in his mind - truly have a grasp on his own life.

Personally I like to read the Act 4 into Act 5 Mythic Path decision as a literal death and rebirth for Zell, thus resolving his strongest ambition.

12. How does their mythic path synergize with their personality - does it augment it, or is it in contrast? Something in-between?

Zell didn't truly realize he could walk the Azata path until he met Arueshalae. Before that moment in Drezen he was sure that he'd be caught between his rage and the pull of heaven… but Arue saw something else in him he'd secretly been afraid to consider, because he was so sure the path would be barred from him.

Embracing the path and becoming an Azata is enormously healing for him. He finds community among other outsiders and rebels, A DRAGON BESTIE, connection to the land he's come to live in, and overal just renewed vigor. The more he embraces the Azata path the more like his real self he becomes: vivacious, kind, silly, and genuinely joyful. His sharp edges soften; he becomes a little less ruthless and a little more understanding, both towards himself and others. It doesn't cure his depression, but it does make it easier to live with.

13. Which mythic abilities/spells would be iconic to them, and was it their preference or did they prefer something less iconic?

The Haste/Arcane rage Blur is his favorite martial spell combo. Especially once he gets his wings? It's giving anime protagonist in a big way (if anime existed in Golarion he would be completely insufferable about this). He's not naturally very quick without magical (and mythical) enhancement - much more of a persistence predator type - so leaning in to the coolness factor of having Azata superpowers, superspeed, and magical dodging prowess is very fun for him.

i think ash has main character syndrome tbh. he's a hello kitty guy (potentially just because he doesn't even know there are other sanrio characters, tbh. if he knew more, he might choose purin). gary likes cinnamoroll best but he will never admit this (if asked, he'd probably say his favourite is chococat, after vehemently denying that he likes any of them lmao). goh likes kuromi. it's the closest to truly edgy that he gets

ok i think no simply because he hasn't been to that many places outside of pallet town, but i'm thinking of how in like. elementary school we ocassionally took trips into the city to go to, like, the wave pool. and if ash's class ever did that, then they likely never were allowed to go back because of something he did like Extreme Watersliding or something. not sure what that entails but the lifeguards must've hated him

tales of hearts for sure. like yeah i'm biased but he's such an earnest, heartfelt guy. that story would Get Him. i also think he'd enjoy the battle system. he might also like symphonia and/or berseria strictly for the combo attacks tbh (but both those games' plots would make him mad. overly self-sacrificing deuteragonist hits a little too close to home for him sjdfghjfdk)

THIS IS GENUINELY THE MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION ON THIS LIST BUT ultimately i'm gonna have to say i think he'd like yuu because he'd see that, like, unceasing determination to Get Stronger as fairly admirable. he would excuse some of the not so great things yuu does in the name of getting stronger because i think he'd sympathize with yuu's position at least a bit and believe in his capacity to Grow and become a Better Person. now whether or not he ships mikayuu is a whole other Thing................he's probably one of the people that looks at them like "wow what a great friendship :)" but i can excuse him for this on account of the fact that he himself has 734567483 "great friendships" so he definitely thinks the forehead touch and bold declarations of love are just typical bro things (suddenly struck by the very surface level similarities between mikayuu and satogou actually whats up with that dhjfghfjdksfhjdksl)

I don’t think I’ve posted any drawings of her other than her first, but i’ve been drawing rig a lot more like this rather than that first one. More graphic head shape, more upright ears, one eye hidden, mouth hidden by scarf, what have you. I think she looks cooler and is way easier to draw like this, but is a little less sonicy, im sure I’ll find a balance sometime. Rare carrion non-blep, this pose is cool but i did not even try cleaning this up lol.

And jerryjack!! She sucks so bad i love her. They’re Rig’s best friend, known each other since they were kids and learned the trade (killing) under the same mentor. She’s 11 months older than Rig, so she’s about 25ish. She hates consistency, commitment, seriousness, kids, stagnation, compassion, anything boring, and many many other things. She loves anything fun, stirring shit, lying, inflicting blunt force trauma, herself, lockpicking, and money. She’s purely self-interested and does everything she does for funsies. She’s not a part of the postal crew cause she thinks it’s boring and is allergic to commitment but hangs around and ‘helps out’ sometimes. She’s a hitman on her own, and has way more connections through that than rig, occasionally floats jobs her way. Also sometimes places bounties on her when shes mad. Or just cause.

Unlike Jerry, Rig is a very routine and organized person. She wakes up every morning at 6 sharp despite not being a morning person. Miraculously, she and jerry lived together for 2 years and during that time rig ate microwaved oatmeal every single morning and got groceries on tuesdays. All this is to say Rig is very methodical and likes routing and things that are expected. So Jerry lost their shit when rig called them randomly and casually told them that she’s starting a non-euphemistic postal service and also spontaneously took in a couple kids. Naturally, she’s very wary of squabble and carrion, especially the latter. Assassin recognizes assassin, silly recognizes silly, they try to kill each other and then become besties (who still periodically attempt to kill each other). As for squabble, she’s surprisingly fun to interact with, so jerry warms up fairly quick and becomes a truly awful influence on her.

Here’s the first drafts and base. She’s obviously a jackalope but calls herself a hare for some reason. Is part of that reason because i couldn’t think of a pun name other than jack like jackrabbit and ‘jack the jackalope’ sounded a little too stupid for my taste (as if ‘jerryjack’ isn’t stupider)? Ummmmmmm.

Anyway, i decided to nix the asymmetrical antlers cause theres a limit to how much asymmetry i should stuff into a set of characters, carrion’s already got the lopped off ear and etc. the back and tail marking is supposed to emulate ribs

I’m still super duper undecided on jerry’s outfit and colour scheme. Every outfit ive thought up so far feels way too simple or untethered to reality in comparison to the postal crew’s, however i think the postal crew is a bit too complicated (or way too complicated in squabble’s case) and too grounded for sonic, so. Idk what to do abt that. And as for their colour scheme, as seen above her first drafts have the same red and green of the postal crew, but seeing as she doesn’t work with them it’s definitely the better choice to diverge from that. Saturated orange is the most tense and unsettling colour to me so i think it suits her off putting nature, but the white and orange combo reminds me intensely of like. 1960s egg chairs. WAIT and ulala space channel 5. And various stupid tech startup kitchen gadgets. Just generally a combo with a lot of nonthreatening and safe associations rather than the warning sign i want. Idk man i’ll workshop it eventually.

Also, cloak rig. Her previous red coat was stupid. Not sure how much smarter this is but it looks cooler. Still doesn’t usually wear it other than in towns to hide her wings or when it’s cold. Also also this is the same fucking pose again

A lot about you- your enneagram, your MBTI, the types of audios you like- gives me the impression of someone very sweet and thoughtful, someone who spends a lot of time in their head and dreams. I think Anton would be a lovely partner for you in the way he complements that.
