Hello, your drawings are really beautiful. I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions.

1. Which program do you use and recommend for drawing?

2. Are there any tips you can share for drawing?

3. How do your drawings look so smooth? (I use Ibispaint and the drawings do not look smooth at all.)

4. Do you have any advice to get to a better level in drawing?

I changed the way I work since the last ask I received (I had to because my tablet started acting weird again and my hand would end up hurting by the end TwT)

1/ The program I use is Sai 2! And when I want to add filters/textures, I copy and paste the drawing to CSP and modify it there! The noise filter I use comes with this brush set on CSP 👇

As for the program I'd recommend, it would definitely be Procreate! A friend of mine sometimes lends me her Ipad so that I can draw stuff for her and it's always the best experience ever! (far better than CSP and Sai methinks) That's why I'm saving money rn in order to get an Ipad too and finally be done with this old tablet of mine :') (it's a Wacom Intuos CTH-480 if you're wondering)

2/ Here's how I basically draw (I hope this helps!!)

3/ It's cuz I always turn the stabilizer on 15 when I do the lineart >:)

I turn it to 0 when I sketch tho'!

4/ Idk if this is helpful but here's how I improved:

When I started taking drawing seriously I first began by improving on how I draw faces! I would look up my favorite artists' stuff and try to understand how they drew theirs >:) I first would copy their art and then try to replicate it without looking and see if I remembered and understood how they went about it! I then started to combine everything I liked from each until I reached a result I really liked :')

The only downside to this is that I didn't study anatomy AT ALL so I started all over again using the same method but with full bodies, and after I felt like I learned how to draw very basic poses I started looking up references on Pinterest and try to replicate them into basic shapes! And that leads us to today lmao

Keep in mind that I still use references to this day! They're very important!! For example, I used Gwendoline Christie as a reference for my recent Robb X)

GAotSi200y Chapter 0: Beginning

There is actually no formal title for this. GAotSi200y is just an acronym for a Google Slides presentation I made of these characters for a friend. A more formal name would be the Inheritance universe, but that sounds really boring, so I'll stick with the funny name. Anyway, this comic was made finished in I think May 2022. I was doing my first year of AP Art (I took it twice) and was hating it (that's a story for another post, regarding the specific character it was about). So as refuge from the self-imposed hell of AP art, I took another art class in my second semester just so I could make a comic, and that's what this was. I don't think anything in particular inspired this comic (though, of course, the actual story and such is probably an amalgamation of interests and the like). The material this was done in was traditionally using fineliners (and the occasional brush here and there) and then screentones digitally on CSP. I think I did find a decent balance with the screentones but again, it's not how I'd personally prefer it considering my aspirations at the time. Here's a "reference" page I made for the class. I put it in quotations since I never looked at it, the designs were very simple. Also a doodle of a panel.

I will try to compile these preplanning things perhaps in the other posts as well, but there isn't much for those. Anyway, I'm saving a lot of stuff for the character-specific posts.

What're the program and brush you are using for your artwork?

Currently using CSP and my to go brush would be Darker Pencil!! Very good for me who doesn't do lineart!!

I use lasoo tool + G pen for doodle base colors; and random brushes for when I try to render ^0^

i decided to make this account because grian is the character i will draw whenever i’m bored. i made this account as a way to keep track of all the art, so most of these are gonna be things like shitty asl class doodles or something. nothing super polished, but that’s a daily art account for you :0

anyways to explain the design a bit (in case u wanted to know) and also an image ID is under the cut !!

i decided to add an open red coat because i like those and i just thought the grey vest looked nice. but i was also trying to keep the design to something that he could actually fly in, meaning he’d have to take off the coat. so to keep the red in the design, i added the ribbon! he’s also barefoot because i like the idea that he just walks around without shoes because it’s a power move.
