I want to share this mad idea a french ttrpg designer had.
A system of rules to speedrun campaigns and scenarios.
Warning : the table MUST have played it normally before. These rules are for giving a second life to these campaign books catching dust in your library
These rules are an add-on to the system you used for the campaign. Now you can Bunny hop, glitch, clip, go out of bonds in your game. Bugs can appear. Suddenly the game is in another language, good luck to the players who don't speak it.
You can add little challenges, the same as video game speedrun. Like an all boss run, a no hit run, a non lethal run, etc.
Honestly I found the idea bonkers. I want to try it, seems like a good idea for a crazy game night.

Thank you everyone for all the recommendations! Here's a list of what y'all suggested:
I am in Eskew - got recommanded a bunch of times so I'm definitely going to check it out first
Magnus Archives - I've already listened to it and I'm not a fan, but it does fit the vibe so if y'all are looking for something like that then check it out
Hello from the Hallowoods
X-files - a classic, I should watch it at least for my personnal culture
Tanis
The Black Tapes
Rabbits
Faerie
The Last Movie
Limetown
Archive 81
Gone - that's a novel, right? I think I read the first book way back in the day
King Falls AM
The Absurdia ttrpg
The White Vault
Oddity Roadshow
Malevolent - I've seen this one floating around on my dashboard
Myths and Legends (by Jason and Carissa Weiser)
Foundation after midnight
SCP: Find Us Alive
Omega Mart
American Gods - I've read it already, it's very good, and definitely fits the vibe
Good Omens - not that vibe at all IMO but still I cannot recommend it enough, and if you have seen the series but not read the book, READ THE BOOK!!!
The Halloween Moon (by Joseph Fink of Night Vale fame)
The Night Vale novels: Welcome to Night Vale, It Devours, The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home - I've read the first two and they were great, so I should definitely get my hands on the third
Silt Verses
Hotelpod
Old Gods Of Appalachia
Thank you to everyone who contributed! I'm not gonna be bored for at least the next two years XD
Hey y'all! Has anyone got recommendation for podcasts, series, books... etc in the same vein as Night Vale, Alice Isn't Dead, Neverwhere or SCP?
Like, everyday life and places made spooky and off-putting, ranging from just sliiightly off-kilter to downright paranormal? Something with a modern folktale/urban folklore vibe? (If possible based on USAmerican culture/environments)
🔄Reblogs are appreciated! 👍

Recommandations and games I wanna try in this bundle
Apothecaria : I like games about being a witch creating potions.
Grounding With Tea: I love tea and I need self care. Worth a try
A fairy's day adventure into the human world : a reversal of the usual point of view. The magical in the mundane is my vibe and a theme I try to incorporate in my own games
Weeds in the waste : a garden in the post apocalypse. I wanna try it.
They don't want you to work : well I don't want to work, perfect.
Wonderfall: in a way, again, rediscovering the magical. On my definitive list of games to try
The sticker game : I like stickers
That's only the games I know and the games that caught my attention while reading their hooks. There is something for everyone. Plus I really enjoyed the last 2 bundles of the same name, so I am quite confident about this one. Every ttrpg designer out there, keep up the good work.
Solo but not Alone 3 is a huge charity bundle of about 150 singleplayer TTRPGs
All of the proceeds go to Jasper's Game Day to help with suicide prevention.
If you're curious at all about solo TTRPGs, this is a perfect place to start!
