About Tykhe

"TYKHE (Tyche) was the goddess of fortune, chance, providence and fate. She was usually honoured in a more favourable light as Eutykhia (Eutychia), goddess of good fortune, luck, success and prosperity.

Tykhe was depicted with a variety of attributes--holding a rudder, she was conceived as the divinity guiding and conducting the affairs of the world, and in this respect she was called one of the Moirai (Moirae, Fates); with a ball she represented the varying unsteadiness of fortune, unsteady and capable of rolling in any direction; with Ploutos (Plutus) or the cornucopia, she was the symbol of the plentiful gifts of fortune.

Nemesis (Fair Distribution) was cautiously regarded as the downside of Tykhe, one who provided a check on extravagant favours conferred by fortune. The pair were often depicted as companions in Greek vase painting. In the vase painting (right) Nemesis (Indignation) with her arm around Tykhe (Fortune) points an accusing fingure at Helene, who Aphrodite has persuaded to elope with Paris." - Theoi.com

Tykhe has helped me in many ways regarding simple luck and finances, while she at times works in more subtle ways, at times she will surprise you with answering half hearted, jokey prayers like getting a reward in a video game or finding money on the ground when you're out and about.

I worship her Epithet as Eutykhia (Eutychia) for things such as good fortune and prosperity, she has a main hand on my abundance altar. I deeply recommend building a relationship with her, especially in times as hard as these, as we can all use a little bit of luck.

Introduction

Hello! I’m Rhea and this is my 🏛️religious blog🏛️

I am an Apollo devotee (he’s my tutelar god), but I also worship Aphrodite, Hypnos, Tyche, Amphitrite, Hekate & Dionysus.

I love PJO and EPIC but separation between fictional content and my actual religion is a must.

I am relatively “new” to the religion, i joined in late 2022 but was very inconsistent till late 2024. My practice has grown a lot since then.

I created this blog to start giving e-offerings, apart from my regular libations and devotional acts. But- I’d love to meet other helpol’s and pagans in general. Community was once important in this religion I’d love to slowly build something like it.

About me

I’m from Peru, an annoyingly catholic country in Latin America. I was raised culturally catholic but never really connected deeply. If anything, it pissed me off to see religion everywhere.

I’m 22, autistic and queer. Currently going through a communication (photography & writing) and business (marketing) double major.

basically, it’s the belief of the greek gods! I don’t believe there’s too many people in this religion anymore because for the most part people just call it mythology, but is hellenic polytheists have each other mhm hm 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

but, basically, for an example, I’m a devotee of aphrodite, apollo, hypnos, tyche, hades, and mostly recently I found my way to poseidon— but you can devote yourself to whomever you feel comfortable with. you can make offerings and altars to these gods of your devotion, and these said offerings usually consist of something relating to their field (so for aphrodite, I usually send her seashells!)

honestly it’s rlly chill here and while I am not greek I have always felt connected to the gods despite growing up christian. I think that u being interested is rlly awesome n if u have any other questions I’m happy to answer them!

Oh, tower-crowned Tyche, you’ve brought forth marvelous things into the world, and many times throughout my life have you made me smile; through the divine touch of your gold-decked hand, you hurt and you heal, goddess sublime

When I catch glimpse of a shooting star, when a beautiful bird flies by for me to see, when I find a penny laying on the ground; I know, blindfolded queen, you have blessed me
