In the episode insider Assad says that as soon as Armand gets an inkling that Louis and Daniel have remembered San Francisco and him erasing their memories he's already working on how to manipulate it and spin a new web which I'm taking as confirmation that I'm right not to trust Armand when he claims that Louis asked for his memories to be erased.
