Be mindful of readability and placement of text Lean more into lines to create structure and form, for the sake of composition Experiment using a heavier type to emphasise text

Reflection:

Moving forward I want to improve at my typesetting. Finding out about historical context and significance of type is fascinating, I watched a series documentary recommended called TypeHunters and it gave me a lot more insight into the possibilities and fun you can have with type. Previously I will admit that type intimidated me, and still does, but learning more about it makes me feel more confident.

In episode 3, at 4:13, Laura mentions how Type was made to resemble a lamp or lightbulb, and that fascinates me because of how type can be utilised to communicate so many things at once. It can be an shape as well as a direction as well as a physical tool. on a deeper level I think about how language across time periods contextualises so much about cultural life.
