[ Eret + 15 + 6A ]
Choose a character + a creature + a colour scheme
Combined with a Sliquifier, Eret once bore great wings that could carry him into the air and help propel him through the harsh waves of the Northern Seas - after a failed battle, though, his wings were irreparably damaged, and as further punishment for his failures, Drago removed them for the young Hybrid.

Shoutout to umbraimposter! Al writes an amazing Dark Link, and her concepts for him are well thought out and wonderfully executed! I’m so happy to have gotten the honour of writing with her, and both of our verses have made me cackle with glee while breaking my heart at the same time. On top of being a wonderful writer, Al is a huge sweetheart, and I’m so happy that she’s part of the community!

---X She had slept like the dead. Rubbing her eyes, running her hands through half-styled hair, Natalie tip toed her way out of Darquisse’s room and stifled a yawn.
Coffee, she thought. She needed coffee, before she ran into another door. She’d already had enough trouble with his bedroom door - somehow, in fumbling to get it open, she’d locked it on herself. Or, it had been locked before then, but she couldn’t figure out why that would be. His grandparents were gone, if she remembered correctly, and even if they hadn’t been, it wasn’t as if they been up to anything. Too drunk, too tired. And, they’d taken care of that earlier.
A small smile played at her lips as the memory surfaced, and she hummed quietly, happily, to herself. Last night had been... fun. Dark had seemed a bit off, but she hadn’t pried. She’d just let him drink himself into blissful oblivion, and had been more than happy to try and cheer him up. It had worked, she thought, so that was good.
Maybe today he would tell her what was bothering him. Maybe coffee would help to loosen his lips.
She hissed as the chill of the kitchen tiles bit her bare feet, tugging the over-large t--shirt she wore further down over her thighs as if it would help. It didn’t, and she took mincing, hopping steps toward the coffee maker and the safety of the woven mat that covered the floor nearby. Coffee, a little bit of prying, and then a shower - sounded like a good plan for the day to her.

♦ - gives his life to save her's
Send “♦” for my muse’s reaction to yours giving them a gift.Bonus: Specify the gift that has been given for a more accurate reaction!
How dare he.How. Fucking. DARE he.
How big of an idiot was he? Apparently the biggest idiot alive. Well now dead but that just proves how big of an idiot he truly was. Whatever compelled him to leap in front of that blade that had been rushing towards HER heart -- HER weak point? Why give his own life just to save hers? Surely he was aware she would NEVER do the same right?
In the end this was all his loss. His life was gone. No more. And here she stood; still alive and well.
Dark gave his lifeless body a few nudges with her foot as she gave a disgusted scoff at this pathetic sight.
“I wonder who’ll miss you. I know I won’t... Oh ‘brother’ of mine.”

Ganondorf knew the magic of shadows—they were made up of darkness, after all, born from what was left after the light had passed over a person. There was power in a shadow, and Ganondorf was the King of Darkness; who better than he to manipulate them as he pleased?
These thoughts originated from an idea had been stirring in his mind as of late, one inspired by that nuisance of a boy who had taken out his phantom in the Forest Temple. He’d created the ghostly replica specifically for the purpose of watching over that place and ensuring it could not be purified; that it had failed was a source of great irritation for Ganondorf.
If the boy would not cease to meddle in Ganondorf's carefully crafted plans, something would need to be done about him. Already he was making his way up Death Mountain, progressing closer and closer to the Fire Temple. Ganondorf did not fear that Volvagia would fall, but the defeat of his phantom showed that the interfering kid did possess some level of intelligence and skill. The duplicate of a warrior such as that boy would be useful to have under his control even after Volvagia put an end to the kid himself. All he would need was the young man’s shadow.
Not long ago he had done a similar thing, but his phantom version had been exactly that—a dark spirit bound to his will, brought into the physical world and given his appearance and abilities. That was different than what he planned now. Its powers had been similar to his own, but the being itself was only an imitation; not as strong or smart as the real thing. Only Ganondorf’s magic had gone into its creation, and without a true part of him it had been weak, worthless. A shadow would’ve given it real power.
He had not yet attempted such a spell before, let alone with the shadow of another, but Ganondorf was confident in his power: he would bring the green-clad warrior’s darkness to life, and command it as his own. And this time the shade would have the full power of the original, with all of the additional advantages afforded to a being of shadow.
The only difficulty that remained was ensnaring a portion of the kid’s shadow, and even that was not so hard. Ganondorf was adept at scrying; if the people of Hyrule feared they were constantly being watched, it was because they were—to an extent. Ganondorf could not have his gaze turned everywhere at once, but if he so chose he could look on any place in the kingdom. Once he had his eyes on the young warrior, he could easily use his magic to get himself the shred of shadow he required without the kid ever noticing.
It was not long after he had formulated the plan that Ganondorf put his thoughts into action. Within the chamber at the top of his fortress, Ganondorf called forth the image of Death Mountain, locating the boy with ease. The kid’s shadow pooled beneath him, and as Ganondorf cast his spell it blinked out of existence for one brief second before being quickly replaced by the sunlight again. In his chamber Ganondorf held the result of that spell suspended in the air between his hands, the amorphous shadow rolling like liquid.
With a deep breath to gather his power, Ganondorf began to feed his purple-black magic into the shadow. The shade expanded as he expended his energies, slowly filling out into the shape of the boy it had been stolen from. As he worked magic bled from his palms and began to shroud the room in darkness, the light dimming until it was blotted out entirely and only the purple glow of his spell flowing into the silhouette was visible. The process might have lasted hours or just half of one, Ganondorf had no idea. All of his focus was on the formation of this being, and every time he attempted to withdraw from it, the construct seemed to fall apart. Seeing no end in sight, Ganondorf snarled, at himself, at his magic, at the shadow, and shifted from his dark powers to fire a burst of bright yellow light into the form he had constructed.
Bolts of lightning shot around the room with a crackle of electricity, cutting through the dense darkness like a blade. Ganondorf squinted in the sudden brightness and a boom like thunder so loud it momentarily deafened him resounded throughout the room. He dropped his hands to his sides, and in the blink of an eye all the darkness in the room rushed inwards towards the shadow.
The light in the room leveled out to its normal amount, and when Ganondorf’s eyes readjusted to the brightness he was left staring at the fully-formed wraith now standing on its own in the center of the room.

“I... you know, I really have no idea how the two of them don’t get along. I mean, like, one of them is a bottomless, devouring pit with a hollow leg, and the other one’s a chef. You’d think it’d be a beautiful friendship, but, like, no. I really don’t get people. At all.”

30 uncommon character development questions
Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
Well, it’s not so much a verbal tic as it is an inability to communicate very well. So, yeah, he has trouble getting his thoughts across. With some people, he can speak more easily, because he knows they’ll get what he’s trying to say. With other people, though, like strangers, he gets a little nervous, because he very often has trouble putting his thoughts into words. He misspeaks, and he oftentimes says things with very close meanings, but not quite the meaning he intended.
Much of this is because of his wolf mentality – his go-to for communication is ear movements, tail movements, expressions, pheromones, and simple auditory cues like growls or whines. Actual words aren’t really his speed.
Another reason is that he is rather uneducated. He can’t read very well, and he doesn’t have a wide vocabulary, so he’s very limited in what he’s capable of saying. But he feels all emotions very deeply, to the very core of his being. He’s really quite passionate about everything. And with his small choice of words, it’s hard to translate the depth of his feeling into something that can actually be communicated properly.
Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
Oh boy. I’m gonna try to avoid the obvious ones, like the whole shapeshift thing and the Triforce thing. So that makes this a little difficult.
Link actually has a slightly warmer-than-average body temperature. This is from his wolf form, but it carries over into his human form. So he sometimes feels like he’s running a fever, but he’s not! That’s just normal for him.
I have mentioned this before, but I’m gonna keep yelling about it. Link really loves socks. He loves them more than anything else. Because while the rest of him is warm, his feet have a tendency to get cold. So he just always wears socks. And he only has two pairs, one for day and one for night, so when he gets another pair he usually cries. It’s just so damn amazing to him.
Link is really fucking short. He’s shorter than any other Hylian in the game that’s his age or older. Which is interesting because, around the regular humans in Ordon, he seems to be of fairly average height. But as soon as he steps out of the forest, he is a tiny little dweeb. And honestly, even regular humans outside of Ordon are taller than him. He is just small.
Link’s stomach is a black hole. He may be a teeny tiny bite-sized hero, but he will just keep eating forever. He’s more or less starving most of the time, so when he’s faced with an abundance of food, he just does not stop eating it. He’ll eat slow, so that he doesn’t puke, but he’ll eat a lot.
Link is an actual Disney princess?????? Animals love him. Less wild forest creatures, because they can tell that he’s a dangerous scary wolf predator (although the lil forest animals in Ordon are an exception because they can recognize his scent). But animals in domesticated and inhabited areas, like Ordon and Castle Town, will not leave him alone. And he doesn’t want them to. He loves animals so much. So much.
