When I was a teenager I got a computer virus so my dad took my computer and fixed it for me but when he gave it back it had unbuntu on it instead of windows so my friends would make fun of me when I posted screenshots of stuff bc my taskbar was on the side of my screen instead of the bottom ..

i have like. used linux before. as a kid my laptops ran on unbuntu and in my early teens i used linux mint on one of my computers. but not Hard enough for it to count to me as having "learned" it really. the most complicated thing i've ever done on a linux os is learning to run like. wine i think it was. so i could play mario paint composer when i was 8

oh hey!!!! we’re in the same boat! my dad has a laptop he installed unbuntu on, i played with that for a bit, and then i installed arch on my own non-main-use laptop!! honestly it’s a little spooky and i’m having trouble feeling confident in security, but that just requires learning. so if you’re comfy learning you should be ok? though ive heard arch has stability issues. i have no clue abt how realistic that is or if its a mild issue thats funny to joke abt.
