some sburb underling concepts i made up! more detail about them below the cut !!
Kobalos
The Kobalos is a base unit, appearing in all lands of a given sburb session. Kobaloi are around 3 feet tall, and very quick. They attempt to dismantle and destroy player structures, like the Alchemiter and similar deployable items, as well as structures built to reach the first of the seven rings. Kobaloi are weak enemies, and able to typically be killed with one well-placed blow.
Amphista
The Amphista is a base unit, appearing in all lands of a given sburb session. The Amphista starts as a small serpent, of around 2 feet long. This unit is quick, and generally docile towards the player. However, the Amphista eats grist dropped by other enemies if not picked up by the player in time, resulting in gradual exponential growth. If the Amphista is allowed to grow, they may become hostile toward the player to attempt to satiate their appetite. The Amphista drops more grist than it ate, so allowing it to grow large and then defeating it has large rewards.
Fairies
Fairies are a base magic unit, appearing in all lands of a given sburb session, measuring around 3-5 inches tall. Fairies travel and spawn in swarms, attacking the player with magic. When together, they can pose a fair threat to a beginner within the game. Easily eliminated by higher-level players.
Gorgon
Gorgons are a guardian gatekeeper unit, appearing and residing solely near each land's guardian. Gorgons are around 5-6 feet tall, but their tail length varies. Gorgons are a highly powerful magic unit, and pose an additional threat to players attempting to convene with their guardians. Gorgons tend to group together in smaller groups of three. Experienced players opt most frequently for distanced, stealth-based combat if able.
Hecatonchires
The Hecatonchires is a dungeon-exclusive unit, primarily appearing as a mini-boss for the player. Hecatonchires are frequently 7+ feet tall, some reaching 10 feet. Hecatonchires are heavy-hitter melee units, with high awareness due to their multiple heads. The leading technique in defeating Hecatonchires revolved around disabling the senses of the heads, to gain a leg-up in the battle. Hecatonchires are best fought in groups, if available.

Ok sorry time sensitive question, one of my coplayers took my home server, on which i was running a locally-hosted LLM, what exactly should i expect from my imps n such? same player suggested they'd become ever mutating monsters and that we should fix that by prototyping a bag of concrete to keep them still and fixed in one form but i think that's a TERRIBLE idea. got any advice on what to expect? please and thank you
Software-prototyped aundwrlings are always a bit unpredictable, but expect a great variety.
Concrete doesn’t stabilize, but makes everything punch really, really hard. Not recommended.

You mean the weirdos from Doom? Did one of you guys prototype Doom and now you've got demonic Underlings running around?
That's badass.
Uh, but to answer your question. A demonic Underling is still an Underling, so they have a tendency towards being weak push-overs. Maybe this Archvile thing is more of a Lich-class Underling. In any case, most enemies with special abilities tend to telegraph them, and Doom enemies telegraph as well (and fire slowish bullets so you can dodge). If you feel the ground beginning to burn, youthroll out of the way. If they throw fireballs, dodge as well. And if you have a spare Strife Card, maybe give them a healthy dosage of shotgunkind.
Apparently Archviles in their native game can revive fallen enemies. I'm not sure that really works in SBURB. Revivifying means you need corpses, and most dead Underlings explode into grist upon death (unless you impale them, known exploit). So I don't think they should be able to do that? Unless they just summon new trash mobs. In either case, geek them first.

Had in mind to make an art teacher for a while so here he is, I don't have a name yet though (and only a few bits of story fshjfh I went for chara design first, the rest later I don't heven have the slightest UM idea yet) In very good terms with his fellow potion professor as you can see. Mostly very calm even if his classes are hazardous 80%of the time, but hey the students love it ! The other responsible adults not so much (crowley excluded) + Riddle, he has several objections to make about the art classes and the teacher smoking in class.
I don't think he'd like to see what happens if the smoking device is taken away though.

Is there any other kinds of Underlings that appears in sessions, not included the 1-9 "tier" enemies?
If yes - is all of them named like mythological creatures like... gnomes, elves, fairies?
There are some sanctioned mods. I refuse to acknowledge or bother with those, because I did not approve any of them, so I refuse any of that to be my problem.
Or what, you want more? I can scraptape something together just specifically for you. It won’t be nice.

fun fact: there actually are four races in sburb,
Playeroid (trolls, humans, cherubs, whatever the fuck else, any other player races, all counted as one as they play the same role)
Carapaces (dersites, prospitians, and Snurglines)
Consorts (the weirdos on your land)
Underlings (the enemies you beat up on your land)
Hey its me, triforce dude again
So a lot of shits gone down and a lot of interesting things
So first off time travel is seemingly completely locked as is a lot of sburbian stuff in general though we keep like basic 'magic' relating to our aspects
Me and my coplayers kinda got a reverse four sword thing going on
Honestly they were kind of pissed off at the beginning but we all seem to be having a damn good time now
It's nice to break up the routine every now and then you know?
Also fairy fountains are busted as fuck, as far as we can tell and from what the fairies have told us they have a 3 time limit (rule of threes baby!) on complete resurrection but can also heal all wounds at any time and drinking the water from the fountain acts like a healing potion
Also it's neat interacting with the four races, game constructs they may still be but they definitely have more to talk about than the carapacians or consorts, more like actually people
Sadly our sprites seem to have completely vanished and our lands are like, fading away? For lack of a better term
They seem like they're slowly being unrendered and our denizens are gone (maybe they're in hyrule somewhere?)
Ill keep you updated but for now we're having a blast :D

Considering how influential Ocarina of Time was on the series, you must have rolled shit on whatever lottery caused this.

Of course, the four races of Weasels, Elves, Clowns, and Hogs.
I actually struggle to imagine that any NPCs ad-hocced into existence through what is either a severe bug or a hostile takeover of Skaia by a foreign divine presence would have a more intricate internal world than the Carapacians, who are themselves fairly complex and well-realized if you actually emotionally invest in them. I know replaying can dull that facet of the game, because we're getting acquainted with infinite versions of Ms. Paint and you get disillusioned with it, but it does actually kind of grind my gears when people act like they're Skyrim NPCs.

WAY TO BURY THE LEDE. So off-handedly as well. I'm glad you guys are having fun, but if your Denizens vanish, your Session is as good as dead. Once a Session becomes nonviable, or enters a Doomed Timeline, they ollie-outie unless they need to facilitate some "grander purpose", usually that which pertains to delivering critical information to the Alpha Timeline. Your Lands vanishing is similarly concerning, but the absence of your Denizen is basically a sure shot, "you fucked up and the game is unwinnable".
By all means, keep playing. This is the copium speaking, but maybe if you defeat Gannon and help Morshu pay for his college tuition, the Denizens will come back and clap for you in a circle while the Door comes back and you win. In general though, I do not have high prospects for whatever's going on here, or what happens next.
PREDICTION: If the Door Beyond The End does show up, the "replay" option will probably say "Second Quest". It will either do the same thing "replay" usually does, or you will be stuck in Zelda Purgatory forever, in what must truly be a mega-fucked version of whatever it is we're already going through, with no way out.
SECOND PREDICTION: If the above happens, people will theory spitball at me about how we might see a "Triforce singularity" as SBURB becomes Zelda. I will refuse to listen to them, because this current thread is implausible as it is. There is a ceiling to the amount of silliness that can be going on at once!
