Tuvok and Chakotay’s dynamic in early Voyager is absolutely hilarious. They’ve been working closely together for a while before Caretaker and Chakotay clearly trusts Tuvok. Then in Caretaker, Tuvok’s like, hey, sorry, I was actually a spy the whole time. And Tuvok obviously knew that this day would come for a long time, but he probably expected that he wouldn’t really have to see Chakotay again after that. Because he’d be in prison, where Tuvok put him. Except then they’re stranded in the Delta Quadrant and Tuvok suddenly has to work closely with Chakotay again for the next seven years. Awkward.

day 4 of making posts about my favorite rarepairs because it's pride month and I shall not be shamed no longer

rarepair for today: Tsukilev!! (Tsukishima Kei x Lev Haiba)

I feel like these two would work in the most unexpected, crazy way. Tsukishima is a genius in both academics and volleyball, and Lev is.. well.. he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.. he's got confidence and passion.. that's.. one thing.. 🥰

but I feel like even if Lev is super dumb, there are just some things he notices better than Tsukishima. For example, he might be a bit better at sensing emotional changes and atmospheres. Tsukishima isn't dumb when it comes to feelings, but he's not exactly the smartest, considering he's probably held his feelings down, hiding them from everyone else, how could he easily pinpoint someone else's?

But, going back to Lev being dumb, Tsukishima would definitely schedule study sessions at his house. Lev likes to call them study dates because they study for around 15 minutes, (Lev doesn't want to, but Tsukishima makes him) and then they start to make out. but one time, Tsukishima REFUSED to give up and stop tutoring Lev because his grades were dropping SIGNIFICANTLY and poor Lev had to go through math problems he's never even heard of.

cuddling would be a little awkward, with two lanky teenagers a few inches over 6 feet, it's bound to get a bit difficult. but they eventually find a few positions that are comfortable for them. Sometimes Tsukishima lays on his back, Lev laying his head on Tsuki's chest. or other times, Tsuki lays on his side while Lev spoons him from behind. there are some awkward times, yes, but they manage to get over those problems together.

due to Lev, living in Tokyo, AWAY from Tsuki, they often have lots and lots of calls. Lev isn't that far away, but after school, he doesn't have much time to visit. especially since he often stays late at practice to try and practice becoming the next ace.. so the couple definitely got used to calling. Tsuki was totally against the idea at first. he HATED calling. whether it was video or audio, he hated it. but due to Lev's persistent begging, saying that they'll grow distant and awkward if they don't, he finally gives in. and now he actually looks forward to their calls, hearing Lev rant on about some dumb trinket he found on the cafeteria floor, or how he was so close to perfecting a good spike in practice today.

and the last thing, teasing. it's just in Tsuki's nature. it's basically his love language. he loves reading Lev, specifically for being tall and dumb. but he can't really tease Lev for being tall when he's tall himself..Lev doesn't mind these comments. he thinks they're funny as well, only occasionally commenting on them. other times he just pouts for a second and Tsuki gives in. it doesn't take much for Tsukishima to give in nowadays.
