my loving reminder to fic writers that if you’re going to link say a house plan or pictures or an outfit reference or art or a whatever in your author notes or fic, it’s probably best to host it or reblog it on your blog or wherever, because if something gets removed or a url gets changed your readers are out of luck
#ive also made this error#it’s not ALWAYS possible but every time I’ve clicked a ‘this is their house!’ link it’s been. removed.#because house listings especially don’t necessarily stay up#just clicked a fic that highly recommended looking at the house plans first and the listing is gone so im just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#you can make a private post; link to the og listing; and then link that#for art it’s easiest to reblognit to your account instead of the artist’s because you’ll know when YOU change your url#not pjo#tea reads fics tag#rip all the tangled ribbons references that are gone now
