My SilverLink cable is dead -- somehow either the firmware was lost or corrupted, and it's just showing up as a generic microcontroller to lsusb. Doesn't seem like there's a way to flash it, though I am still looking.

I do the same as that guy!! I use a serialised keyboard but wireless mouse in part bc the mouse battery tends to last longer, but also bc a wired keyboard just. seems to be a bit more responsive? (and there's no concerns of the keyboard getting snagged on stuff, whilst a mouse might, bc you're moving it about a lot more!!!)

felt weird about switching my TM-U675 back from RS-232 to usb yesterday but. felt way less bad when I dropped in the TM-U375 as a replacement (AND TESTED EXTANT WORKFLOWS [spongebob about to be crushed.png]) because its not like i have any fewer serial dot matrix printers connected to my desktop. just one more USB one.
