What is your most on brand fic you’re done? What’s your most off brand? What is a fic SOMEONE else has done that you feel like came from your own heart it was so perfect?

most on brand fic i've written is probably keep me warm, which is just 4k of pure schmoop. my most off brand fic i've written is probably a fool for you, a bodyguard au that never really went anywhere. it was kinda off brand for me and quite ambitious, yet really underwhelming in terms of execution. someone asked me a long time ago if i would ever continue the bodyguard au, and i said yes. now, i'm not so sure. i'm still in love with the idea, but i don't think i'll be able to continue it in that verse specifically with those particular details. i think part of why it didn't do as well and that i didn't end up liking the end product as much was because everything from the characterization to the worldbuilding was kinda underbaked, like i put it out there before it was ready. i definitely want to still write a bodyguard au, but with a way older steve, maybe with more proper characterization and worldbuilding. i'm still debating whether to leave the old fics up or delete them entirely when i revamp the bodyguard au. whoa, sorry for the long answer. i kinda got carried away there. a fic someone else has written that was so perfect it felt like it came from my own heart is when i'm looking at you by @iam93percentstardust. it's 1.6k of soft, calming, and comforting stevetony schmoop. i still remember being so overwhelmed with soft feelings when i first read it (the kind that literally makes you tear up), and i still seek the fic out on my darkest days, when i desperately need some comfort. tagging anyone else who wants to do this challenge! <3
