An excerpt of what the future looks like for the avatar of The Morrigan and her blue eyed sergeant...

"Seriously, Bucky? Valentina? And you never said a word?"

"Doll, hold on a minute. She told me she contacted you. She said you told her no."

"That was before I met up with you and Sam in Baltimore. That was part of my missing six months around Westview, at least I think it is anyway. You and I weren't, you know, 'You and I' then, and you know how much I hate this dippy air quote stuff. So, if Yelena had not come to see Kate and started making all those slightly drunken declarations over her dinner in that bar, then I'd still be in the dark?"

"Kari, I figured you'd understand more than Sam might. We both know..."

"That The Avengers is just a note in the history books? That anything anyone has tried to do for the last few years to pull a new team together was just a waste of time? Oh yeah, I get that, Buck. No Stark big bucks? No Steve and the reluctance of the world to accept Sam as Captain America? So, no team."

"Would you stop the rant for one minute? Please? Yelena and I, her old man Alexei and, heaven help me, John Walker all told Val that she needed to talk to you in person. The team is missing what you are and what you can do. So, if you get an unknown caller later, doll, please, don't hang up on her. OK? It's supposed to be a lunch meeting. That's what she said anyway."

Greetings from my corner of the MCU Multiverse!

For those taking part in @ocfairygodmother’s OC Creator Bingo, welcome!

Kari MacOrish, the only OC I am writing at this point on Tumblr, is the MCU version of a character I have been gaming as on various play-by-post boards since late 2001. She was born as a character in Marvel’s 616 Universe X-Men realm. She has had a lot of OC versions because I never met an AU I didn’t like.

Some facts:

▪️She is the 1,500 year-old avatar of the Celtic war goddess The Morrigan.

▪️Her faces are Julianne Moore and the character Brigid The Protector from the comic book More Than Mortal.

▪️Her code name, though she still has yet to use it in the MCU, is Karenza. Only a few people know it: Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Thor, Loki, Helmut Zemo

▪️She has known the following MCU characters at points before she officially entered the world of the post-Age of Ultron Avengers: Thor, Loki, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, The Howling Commandos, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Tony Stark and Nick Fury.

▪️She is slowly developing a romantic relationship with Bucky Barnes. Heaven help the poor man!

▪️Kari has had many careers over the years when she was not swinging a sword: singer, drink slinger, reporter, bakery owner, horse breeder.

▪️She has a pet orange tabby cat named Hickory (who not too surprisingly takes after a kitty I once had in my life), but he is not her familiar.

As part of my 50+ followers week…

For my fellow writers—is there something you’d do differently if you were back at the start of creating fanfic?

I’ve only been doing fanfic since August, and I already have one thing I’d tweak. I would not have used the events of Endgame as a launching point. I am going back to past events in some of my writing, but not having such a dark starting point might have been a good thing!
