Zoey doesn’t really know when it started. The need for praise. The desperation for it.

But maybe it’s always been there. Growing in the quiet, in the absence. When you're raised being told nothing but what you’re doing wrong, it turns the idea of being good into something sacred. Something you’ll do anything for.

So now, when someone says you’re doing good, it doesn’t just feel nice. It feels essential. Like oxygen. Like finally being seen.

Rumi figured that out fast. She didn’t need backstory to notice how Zoey would tense at the smallest hint of disapproval, how she always checked their faces after a joke or a kiss or a moan—was that okay? was I too much? was I enough?

And Rumi? She’s all heart, all mouth, all praise. She hands it over freely, openly, without hesitation.

“You’re such a sweetheart,” she murmurs when Zoey curls into her chest at night.

“You’re so clever, babe,” she says, running fingers through her hair as Zoey rambles about weapon mods and training drills.

“Fuck, just like that, you’re perfect,” she pants when Zoey’s got two fingers inside her, curled just right.

Zoey eats it up. Soaks it in like she’s starving.

But Mira… Mira holds it back. Not cruelly. Just naturally. She’s measured, careful, quiet. Her love is in her actions—covering Zoey with a blanket when she falls asleep on the couch, refilling her water bottle without a word, fixing the straps on her gear before a fight.

She doesn’t say much. And that drives Zoey a little crazy.

Because Zoey needs it. More than she ever says out loud.

She needs someone to look at her and say, you’re good, you’re not too much, you’re not broken. She needs someone to say the things her parents never did. Needs it like air.

So when Mira finally gives her a sliver of it—just a quiet, breathless “good girl” in the middle of a slow, heated night—Zoey breaks.

Not in a dramatic, tear-filled way. No, she shatters quietly. Her back arches. Her mouth drops open. And then she hides her face and whimpers, hands clutching at Mira’s arms like she’s afraid it’ll vanish if she blinks.

Mira freezes.

Rumi grins. “Told you. She loves that shit.”

Zoey makes a noise that’s not even human. “Don’t mock me—”

“I’m not mocking. I’m admiring. You looked like you just saw God.”

Later, Mira asks if she should stop. She’s awkward about it—sitting next to Zoey on the bed, rubbing at her wrist, her voice low.

“I didn’t mean to… I don’t know. Overwhelm you.”

And Zoey shakes her head so hard her ponytail whips.

“No. No, it was good. It was really good. You just—” She swallows. “You don’t say stuff like that. So when you do…”

Mira’s brow furrows. “You like it?”

“I love it.” Zoey’s voice is small. “I didn’t realize how much I needed it.”

Mira nods slowly, thoughtful.

And from that point on, it changes.

It’s subtle. Mira doesn’t suddenly become Rumi. She’s still quiet. Still reserved.

But she watches more closely now. And when Zoey’s doing her thing—slicing through a training routine like a storm, muscles taut and focus razor-sharp—Mira will lean against the doorway and murmur, “That’s my girl.”

Zoey damn near falls off the mat.

And in bed, when Zoey’s pressed against Mira’s thigh, mouthing at her throat, hips grinding needily, Mira will let out a soft, low whisper—“You’re so fucking good at this.” And Zoey trembles.

It’s not about the sex. Not really. It’s about being good.

Being wanted.

Being enough.

And Mira gets that now. She starts saying it more. Just enough. Never overdone.

“You’re handling this so well, baby.”

“I’m proud of you.”

“You’re doing amazing.”

“Such a good girl for us.”

Every single time, Zoey glows like it’s the first time. Sometimes she cries. She tries to hide it, but Rumi always catches it—wipes her cheek gently and kisses her temple.

POST - MORTEM, formed in a small town, Mortem was initially a black metal project dedicated to venting emotions that came with everyday life. While black metal (dsbm) remain a core principle to the foundation of Mortem, as we matured our music matured along with us. The core / founding members of Mortem are VINCENT CRAVEN, JESSE VASQUEZ, and DEX ORTIZ.

What is Mortem? As it stands, Mortem is described as a “dark-wave band merging ethereal low vocals, mystifying lyrics, and occult metal sensibilities.” It is not uncommon to find riffs more likely to be heard on a MORTUARY DRAPE album across our discography. Still, our music is commonly played in goth nights around the world! More aptly, by me when I’m DJ-ing. buy our fucking album.

INSPIRATIONS? “We listen to a shit ton of music. Me and Jess first listened to RIDE THE LIGHTNING together in high school before delving into blacker metal. That’s where Mortem was formed. Old lo-fi bm cassettes were handed out to friends and people at shows. Initially we didn’t have a drummer — those shitty demos led us straight to Dex. From there, we spent too much time loitering our local record store. . Today, I’d say Mortem is most inspired by bands like THE CURE, SAD LOVERS & GIANTS, THRILL KILL KULT, SISTERS OF MERCY, ALIEN SEX FIEND. . All of the cool shit coming out right now. THE LOVED ONE by STRANGE BOUTIQUE was released not that long ago too. Good album, really good album. Heavily influential on us.”

SUCCESS? “We’re pretty entrenched in our local scene back home. Working on getting new stuff out, and while the stuff that is out sells alright, I wouldn’t call our music widely successful, and that’s fine. It would be interesting—but I don’t think we want that life, we like the community that comes with playing locally. I do want to play with some of the bands that are bigger than us though. Hopefully we get that chance.”

Games I think the gang members would play:

Arthur: not much into gaming, I can see him play Zelda Breath of the wild and Tears of kingdom. Probably plays some other Nintendo games like Mario kart with the youngest.

John: I can either see him play comp fps (valorant, CS:Go, overwatch) / battle royal Or he's a speedrunner mostly on platforms game (Celeste, any old Mario)

Abigail: train on the games Jack wants to play so she can impress him when he asks for help, outside of that she plays Animal crossing with Mary-Beth and Kieran. When Jack isn't here she Loooves horror games. She finished all the resident evil.

Jack: pokepark, anything that looked cute and chill. Then teen year hit and he tried games with Knights. Loves watching Tilly play, tried to sneak on Abi to see horror games.

Hosea: those points and click games where you gotta solves things. Or maybe games like starcraft, so RTS. He also love Crusader King.

Lenny: anything that challenges his brain, Started with Prof Layton, continued with disco elysium, blue prince, chants of Sennaar. Hosea got him to play ace attorney too.

Sean: played GTA 5, went online tried rp loved it so now he spends most of his time trying to be the biggest gangster of Los Santos on some server. Also looooves mmorpg like he was a club penguin kid and then moved to Wow and ff14

Uncle: crazy candy crush kinda old man. Like John once saw he was top 3 world or something.

Dutch: forces everyone to bond on among us, Dale & Dawson or any imposter kind of game. Also like retro games and Sim city.

Bill: war games (Cod or world of tank) sport games. Actually anything so he can relax/ get rid of any tension he had during the day.

Javier: he tried guitar hero and HATED IT. He's actually more of a story game kinda guy, especially indie games. So he'd totally be into expedition 33, baldur's Gate 3, life is strange. Don't ask him about life is strange it's still a difficult topic (he totally cried)

Kieran: horse games. Like bro is a long time Star stable Online player, he played all the horse games you can think of. Animal crossing to hang out with the girl and have all the horses villagers.

Molly: Style Savvy: Fashion Forward. And also otome games, like my candy love and it kinda fucked up her expectations for love and relationship.

Tilly: play duo with John on fps game, or any final fantasy and fire emblem.

Micah: League of legends. You know why. Also play chess online only to brag about his elo. Had like 10 different acc cuz he keeps getting reported (rightfully)

Karen: just dance, she absolutely LOOOOVE those games. And rythme game, she's insanely good at osu.

Mary-Beth: Sims 4, like she has tons of mods and do some evil shit on that to pass the time. Play animal crossing too. Loves visual novels of any type.

Susan: I can't imagine her playing EXCEPT for one thing. She's at the head of one of the biggest Wow guild and she has been playing since the game came out. It's like the only thing I'll accept about her.

Sadie: not much of a player she sometimes joins Tilly and John but mostly spend time on Stardew valley. Depending on the day her activities in the game change lol

Charles: he goes through any indie games with a distinctive art style, anything that catches his eyes or has an interesting story he'll try it.

I mean come on, he lived in a dorm with several other highly sexually repressed military cadets, is a history buff, and reads religiously like Hamilton writes. This mech DEFINITELY had some side hobbies (maybe a size hustle?? 👀👀👀), who's gonna bet he has a shit ton of mods seamlessly and aesthetically matching his natural frame under his plating? (I'm sure he'd prefer to have his sex life and work life separate, so he's gotta keep up appearances) Or has a sizable collection of interface aids in which half of them are contraband? And let's not get started on how many smutty romance novels he has in his personal collection.

He plays up the innocent sexually inexperienced young autobot "keeping his seals and chastity for when he meets his perfect bot" perfectly. But the moment Megatron starts flirting with him on the field? He expects the little Prime to be flustered, embarrassed, maybe even angry in that tsundere way. Instead Op just raises his eyebrow with a tilt of his head in that confused puppy fashion before it clicks and suddenly he's... reciprocating?? Their banter becomes mostly flirting, and more often than not leaving MEGATRON as the one flustered. This was not how this was supposed to go, that isn't how this works! How did that little--?!

Of course what's even better is that Optimus can recognize flirting easily. Compliments and Genuine Affection?? Oblivious as a Goddamn Rock.

This is incredibly funny to imagine in a situation with more repressed autobots

Deep Flares - a Maxis Match Eye Set

DAMN, managed to finally finish these bad boys after quite a few days of work but I do think they turned out pretty great, especially for my first ever piece of CC!! Hi btw nice to meet you all :) I sincerely appreciate the stylised look of the sims 4 but the eyes never really did it for me and I just couldn't find a custom set with the sharp colours and painterly look I wanted to I decided to make these!

They come in a Default, Non Default, and a facepaint.

I also decided to make a completely optional heterochromia set (under skin details) that works for all ages :) Links, more info and game swatches under the cut:

Above are the swatches with their basegame names.

I tried to stay as faithful as I could to either the in game swatch colours or the colour of the swatch itself while giving them a little more love.

So these sparkling beauties are available for download as a Default (replaces basegame colours), and a Non Default (adds colours as extra swatches). You should only install one of these not both.

The facepaint version can be installed with whatever other version you want to download or as a standalone.

And there's the heterochromia addon! It's applied under skin details and it's in the right side lip mole slot.

DISCLAIMER FOR THE FACEPAINT VERSION: This version has a couple pros and cons...

On the pro side the facepaint only replaces the texture of the iris and pupil so it should be compatible with whatever sclera replacements you might have. On the con side however, I wasn't able to negate the basegame eyes specular map for these ones so if your default eyes have a specular map it'll show through. This may or may not be an effect you want idk try them out I guess! Also on the con side this version is not available for toddlers specifically (I just couldn't get the category to be selectable idk, if anyone has any idea what that's about pls let me know).

DISCLAIMER FOR THE HETEROCHROMIA ADDON:

This addon uses the texture space for the neck/chokers so if your sim wears a choker or a scarf the texture will show up on the eye. most of the other necklaces are fine so it's not a huge deal just something to look out for. If there's demand for it I can also make an extra version of this one that uses a different texture space in case you really need your sim to have both heterochromia and a choker.

I remember you mentioning in a post about a crk x terraria and i got an idea.I am a fan of multiple fandoms,but currently Crk and Calamity (A mod of terraria).So it got me wondering,what if the baby witch was from that world and not 'ours',a world full of magic and a heck ton of danger,and the other gods of calamity.What if Pitaya meets Yharon or the ancients / the beast meet the terrarian or Yharim or maybe even Calamitas,maybe the baby witch somehow ends up there and the others try and rescue the little godling?

I understand if you dont know about the Calamity mod,but i highly suggest to do a playthrough if you havent by now,there is a TON of lore.

While I do think the baby witch coming from the Terrarian realm is interesting, it would be difficult to wrap the lore around such a unique setting. Since the normal baby witch au's mother was harmed in our world, fled to Earthbread, and had PV promise to help their child live before she dies--I can't think of an idea at the moment of how to weave the story together with the lore of Calamity. Now, let me state that I LOVE calamity and Fargo Souls mods for Terraria (mostly because you turn more and more into a god the longer you play and the more progress you complete) and I actually envisioned that it was how the Terrarian originally crossed over into Earthbread to begin with, as the Devour of Gods uses wormholes and stuff canonically, so I figured that they would be on the DoG in order to try and kill it when it tries to universe hop and they finish the fight in Earthbread. Now, the Terrarian's arrival to Earthbread and fight with the DoG does not go unnoticed, as the corpse of the DoG pretty much falls out of the sky and creates a massive ruckus. While cookies are panicking a bit, the Terrarian is pretty much confused about where the hell they are.

They see a lot of things while in the air, such as many kingdoms, landmarks, and distant lands that they haven't visited. For the sake of this crossover, the Terrarian would be Cookie-sized, just powerful as shit. They flutter down to the first kingdom they see (which can be any of them to be honest), as the DoG fight could have appeared anywhere on Earthbread with the wormhole ability, and they decide to meet with the leader of the kingdom to get some information. Now, can you imagine being a cookie and seeing some winged being that just killed something BIGGER THAN A CASTLE after coming through some strange rift/wormhole and just fluttering down to speak with your leader? That would be wild.

(I also agree. I wished people talked more about Terrarian crossovers more often, also your language was great! Excellent work! <: D)
