The air twists around in a swirl, lights shimmering as gold flecks. Raising upwards like the sun boiling down before settling back against the ground. It wouldn't be Mythus if they arrive when there is peace and one doesn't question their senses.

There's the flicker in the air, a figure almost cut out from space and time with the faint outline of gold. Fingers tapping against the bottom of a chin at the words spoken. The man in front of them was already overwhelmed, perhaps they could give him a few pushes over the edge? Wither that is a good thing or not, the idea formed in their mind fast enough to latch onto.

The air shifts around the man as the scenery starts to change. Lights becoming blinding, sounds becoming distorted, far and close flipping on its head, as they have the objects that are presumed dummies sway this way and that.

The gold figure stands near by, swaying idly as they observe from the sidelines how this might play out

"She must be worried sick." not like she could go anywhere presently, however - not until she managed to acquire some new clothes and she wasn't about to request her former partner to procure her any...if anything, she owed him the cost of the hotel room and various other expenses she had no doubt accrued.

"...why didn't you just pass me off to someone else?"

The arm that had been around her shot up to show he wasn't holding her anymore. Maggie was still wrapped up in the blankets and he prayed that she magically got her normally clothes back because no way in hell did those small clothes stay intact.

"You tell me." It was the truth and she'll know it.

Sitting up to look down at her still in that soft blanket. "I was just in the fortress when I found a small little child hiding behind some crates smelling exactly like you. I took you to Neuvillette, he didn't know. I heard somewhere leylines can cause weird affects but still." It sounded so crazy and stupid when he said it out loud.

"I wasn't going to leave you alone so I decided to help you when you were small." No going to disclose they were looking for her dead family and the poor child figured that out sobbing in his arms.

Another soft squeak as the creature is relocated to a more secure, and far warmer location that leads to a round of small, contented chirps from the tiny creature, settling comfortably against the puppet’s chest and dozing off quickly; it’s not every day something quite so young has such a heart racing day after all.

From the branches of a nearby tree, the scene unfolds before an unseen set of eyes belonging to someone not too keen on showing themselves, or abandoning their hiding place, at peace with remaining a silent observer for now.

It was curious though…whomever he was, he…had one of the strangest pulses she had ever felt.
