uhm- hi- I'm the person who said something about not really preferring fem Phoenixs and I want to re clarify that I really didn't mean it to come off as hate and just a personal preference :(

Did something happen on the official discord or were you the person that confessed to disliking my x reader fics where Phoenix is referred to with she/her? (God I feel so old and out of touch lol)

First thing I want to clarify is that you’re not a bad person for having a preference nor are you a bad person for stating your preference. Everyone has preferences and opinions and things they love and things they can’t stand. That’s what makes us individual humans instead of a hivemind (🐝).

When people like myself or Calivide or Chell talk about the fandoms distaste for fem or she/her phoenixes a lot of it started back in 2021/2022 on the official discord where the distaste was almost systemic. People would be quick to correct you to use they/them if you used she/her when talking about Phoenix but no one seemed to care when he/him was used for Phoenix. (You definitely seem like you’re very new to the fandom so I promise we weren’t talking about you nor were you who I was talking about in my last anon response). To top it all off, there were multiple people who also insisted that juniper didn’t like women so if you did ship juniper/phoenix, Phoenix had to be nonbinary or a man.

You can understand why all of this could be disheartening to people who had fem phoenixes, people who are feminine and like juniper, or both.

Nowadays it is mainly just annoying when people complain about she/her or fem phoenixes when I can count on one hand the number of Phoenix ocs that use she/her for at least one set of their pronouns. I believe the math ends up being that of all the ieytd fanfics on ao3 only 10% I think have Phoenix referred to as she/her and they’re all tagged as such. I just don’t understand why people choose to complain about only 10% of the fanfics (and please believe me anon it is not just you who does it. It’s a very prevalent thing to complain about in this fandom)

As for reader-inserts, they do get a lot of hate, and I’ll admit I can understand a lot of it. Seeing y/n h/c and e/c takes me out of the story and I dont wear skirts as often as the blond y/n reader with the blue or e/c orbs does. It’s miraculous that my fics are as beloved as they are because they’re reader-insert. But I try to make my reader-inserts as gender neutral and race neutral as possible so that my fics can be enjoyed by everyone. I’ve been told that my fics are the only reader insert fics that some people can read but I’ve also had my fics be referred to as straight x reader based solely on the reputation of reader inserts.

So when it was clarified that the confession was referring to reader inserts only and as the only reader insert writer in the fandom it did hurt ngl. At the time of the confession, only two of my fics had the reader/phoenix referred to as she/her (2/400 which in my mind felt like a crazy thing to complain about) which are my vampire au fics. I’ve since rewritten the first of the series with a they/them Phoenix but it hasn’t done well engagement wise and I haven’t gotten an indication from readers that they want the sequel rewritten as well.

The last thing any of us writers want if for people to feel dysphoria from reading our fics but I also hope you can u see stand how our patience has worn thin after years of people not preferring fem phoenixes. And if you are the anon who sent the confession to ieytdconfessions (or if they happen to see this) please let me know if you want me to rewrite the sequel to be they/them Phoenix too

It's definitely been some time since either of us have posted publicly about it, but rest assured it's still alive and well! I love our vampires and necromancers, and it makes me so happy to know other people are still thinking about them too.

This fic was really sweet, and it was lovely to see your take on our AU. Who knows, maybe you'll inspire me to post some more about it!

[Note: I’m not a contributor to the canon of the AU and all of my add ons can be OOC or use speculations, thank you!]

“Dear?” Chell turned swiftly to catch her lover’s eyes.

They’d been in the throne room and idling for what felt like an hour before the silence had been broken. This was normal, as glados would often find ways to fill the room with something else to pass the time other than conversation, and Chell didn’t have “big talker” added to her nature after she’d been revived either. But now she was looking at GLaDOS and listening.

“Have you ever thought we should leave the castle?” GLaDOS’s voice rang clear and with confidence. Though Chell knew the question’s weight was hidden behind her perfect tone. The unknown always was a touchy subject when you’re married to what might be the largest collection of knowledge over the past thousands of years.

Chell hmm-ed. Not in a way signifying agreement or disagreement, but just thought. Because she was thinking about that. How long had it been since she had gone outside? The start of her second life gave her a distaste for the sun and a more nocturnal lifestyle anyways, so she had grown attached to the colder and darker areas of the castle, of course she had regained more sense after GLaDOS and her figured out a schedule that would keep her sane and healthy, so she visited her wife more and more often without the promise of food. But she still did wonder. What was going on out there?

“Did a trespasser say something to make you think about it?” She decided to prod out GLaDOS’s feelings on the matter, why the elf even bothered hiding her thoughts from her knight was rather pointless. They were open books to each other.

“No.” GLaDOS’s tone fell a degree noticeable only to Chell.

“No?” Chell repeated knowingly.

“Maybe Someone Couldn’t Stop Mentioning How ‘This Castle Is So Dusty Does Anyone Even Live Here?’ or ‘I Feel Like The Walls Are Gonna Fall On Me!’ because Then Maybe! I Did Put A Spell On The Walls To Crush Him To Death?! Okay!”

Ah there was her temperamental sweetheart.

“At first I only regretted putting hearing enchantments around the castle because all I’d hear was the random rat in our walls or those two bucket heads clanking down hallways.”

Chell cracked a smile at the mention of the haunted armors, she should visit them later.

“But that Intrusive Fly’s last words had made me think of the last time I remodeled this place.”

Chell perked up at the premise of story time. It wasnt often GLaDOS spoke of times before Chell arrived and, in fact, preferred using either Chell’s arrival or the present as a relative date when referring to her ongoing projects. So she did what she did best and took in what GLaDOS had to say.

“I used to be in a smaller castle than this one. Less adventurers took notice of it and it was easier to maintain while I still practiced magic and it’s uses. Over time, of course, I gained my reputation of being a ‘place of no return’ and a ‘great evil to be vanquished’ and more pests came to bother me. After one particular wave, I had been face to face with an adventurer and I heard him say ‘I did not know such an old fort even existed’ that was the first and last thing he said to me. I decided to remodel the place after that! After all it was less that worm’s words and how I didn’t want another professional ‘hero’ to get into my main chamber. I hadn’t realized just how much time had passed since I had settled down here, so I made new traps, built new walls and was far safer in this territory. And yet, a hundred or so years later, you managed to get here. And you know the rest.” GLaDOS finished her spell and Chell was released to think once more.

Chell hmm-ed again but this time as a show of affection towards the praise. She knew how witty and smart she was to make it through her tests. But the information about there being an predecessor to this castle had stuck in her mind.

So Glados did like to change her living space sometime in her life, but no mortal would live long enough to see the whole life of her moves though so it didn’t cross her mind before she arrived herself.

“You want to change the castle again?” Chell asked.

“No, that’s not what I want.”

“What then?”

“I- I want to know more about what’s going on in the rest of the world. The last few maggots had armor that looked different from how yours looked. Their uniforms were stitched evenly and yet their boots looked like they didn’t fit their feet. I’d never even seen this pattern of clothing, Chell! I want to find out how it’s made and what kind of sorcery people have been making out there if this is where they’ve gotten with just simple textiles!”

Chell was rather surprised at how the topic has blossomed. Glados spoke with vigor that was reserved for science and herself.

“I don’t want to just remodel this place. I know it’s our home, but we’ve stuck around long enough to outlive generations. Time is passing and I think we need to catch up a little!”

Chell stood there, in her 1000 times washed tunic and equally worn pants and felt out of place all of a sudden. From what? She did not know. In this place, in their home, she belonged. A wonder about the outside didn’t mean a desire to leave her comforts. She had only recently, well it felt recent to her, gotten used to being undead, and a blood sucking one at that.

She gave Glados a worried look.

Glados immediately slowed down and grew mellower in tone. “Oh but of course I do care about everything that is here. My snakes, my lab, Blue and Orange, You! But I just need you, and I can go anywhere. We can take whatever we need with us till we find a place to settle down for the Next millennia.” Ending on a sarcastic note to help lighten Chell’s mood.

And it worked. Chell smiled, “Okay.”

Glados lit up again! She knew they’d need time to prepare, but a journey was about to begin. Plus, Chell enjoyed a good challenge.

Imm-a back!! With more Demon Portal AU!!

I told you I'd be back very soon!!

Just a little side note before start: There is a +18 version of this AU where Wheatley is an Incubus, if anyone here is interested in that, then I might publish it too... maybe... I need motivation guys, never done NSFW before ._.

Now, let's skip more introductions and let's start already!

First, a little reminder that this Wheatley, despite he is still Wheatley, is also a demon, which means he can be a little more reactive and aggresive.

Second, let's talk about the drawing on the left, okay? This is a picture that still needs some work cause demons are not supposed to be visible for normal humans, not quiet sure if interact with them. BUT this has a context that I can work with:

He caught a stealer trying to get in the house; he's been a while without eating, so he's starting to lose control over his worst instincts and since Chell is, at the moment, being too much of a challenge, he is hungry, frustrated and not holding back.

Demons like him can only feed on very specific stuff: Small living creatures, blood (specially human blood), vital energy and fear. Chell's going to need to think and act fast and the solution comes from an unexpected fount

You see, I really like vampires and some other super natural creatures so... yeah, I'll be mixing a few things with the demons from this AU (because is my AU and I say so) which would include the next thing

I think that would be the moment where she would not only actually talk to him, even saying long sentences, but would also call him by his name, even tho, he never told it to her.

I haven't decide this clearly yet, but I imagine a situation kinda like him saying something like he is sick of waiting and since she didn't allowed him do anything with her (I'm not sure if that would be it or he actually started to like her before this so he stoped himself a bit) he just captured another prey

"Oh come on, this is a thief, ain't them?!! why are you defending them?!!... psst, you know what? forget it. Come to think about it, this could be an even better treat than simple meal. Yeah you don't look that tasty mate... but you''re a robber, right? that's what you are, steal stuff, be a bad guy, but probably having one of those uhm... those human heartbreaking stories, probably you have some sort of fmaily behind? I can just smell it, I'm right, yeah?"

The thief nods scared

"Hah!! I knew it, even better!! so if I kill you... nobody's going to believe it was a demon... everyone will think it was you, right love?? yeah... sending you to jail over a crime you didn't comite... and killing a poor soul in misfortune, hehehe I'm winning my horn for sure with this"

Chell is mad staring at him

"I was right about you.... you haven't change a bit from the last time, have you?" he is about to take a bite "Wheatley"

Suddenly he stop himself after hearing that

"How did you.... how did you know my name!!? I'm sure! I could bet I've never told-!! you know what!!? It doesn't matter!! to be honest it doesn't matter at all!! I have a meal to take 😈 "

"No, please!!! help!!!"

"Stop it!!" she throws a salt jar to him, but, suddenly, in the middle of that, he actually and involuntarily, he does stop, to Chell's and his own confusion. There was not much time to think about it, Chell has a good aim and the salt hit him in all the face, making him to release the thief

Or something like that. Basically, in case I didn't made it clear 😅 someone can gain some level of control over a demon here IF they know and say their actual name. Neither Wheatley nor Chell know this, he is just surprise she knows his name.

The upper one happens once a good time has happens since the start, they have a bigger bond now, he got a new level (and a horn) by that point, he is trying to protect her from something or someone

In the left one, do I need to explain? The eyeball's gonna get trapped.

The right one is just him staring at the night sky, I'm doing a little parallel with a movie I like a lot (Lilo and Stitch). Wheatley feels weird during a particularly calm night, a feeling close to "nostalgia", but, since he doesn't have any memory from his human life and his life as a demon is mostly short, he feels... weird, empty, but he doesn't know what to do about it, at the moment he doesn't trust anyone enough to talk about it.

(I made his wings too big there, but let's pretend I didn't)

pairing: vampire!Seokjin x f. reader

Seokjin was used to the attention his beauty gathered. It was great for business, and despite his best efforts to announce your marriage, you remained his business partner in public.

You had several restaurants around the world but the one you were at now was your favorite. You were booked out six months in advance, some years in advance.

However, your home location was the one that drew lines around the block. Your competitors loathed you. You had to buy the whole block just to have seating for all the customers who came by.

Tonight, you were doing a small trial. Seokjin was at the front of the store, making pizza for those who had shown up. You were at his side, making your own pizza for those who had reservations.

Seokjin had talent coming out of his pores. He never broke a sweat as he kneaded the dough, crushed the tomatoes, and grated the cheese. All fresh ingredients are gathered locally, some grown in your own backyard.

Of course, Seokjin’s super human speed helped crank out more pizzas but it didn’t take away from the great taste.

The both of you poured your heart and souls into this restaurant, and seeing it flourish was a dream come true.

Seokjin was also testing out a new sauce. A sauce specifically for vampires only. Though Seokjin preferred to drink from your neck, he could also consume food if he pleased. He just metabolized it a lot faster than a human could.

Sanguine Sauce, he called the pizza. He’d had a chuckle over it when he pitched it to the marketing team and with a dazzling smile that showed the tip of his razor-like fangs, they were all on board.

Thirty minutes later, Seokjin asks you to meet him in his office. The customers are being taken care of and he’s made more than enough pizzas to last while he’s on his break.

The moment you step into his office, he locks the door before he presses you against it. You moan when his lips meet yours and your hands grip his broad shoulders as he deepens the kiss. His fangs bit your bottom lip, drawing droplets of blood to the surface.

“Fuck,” Seokjin curses as his eyes roll back and he savors you on his tongue. “I can never get enough.”

You smile, tilting your head to the side as he groans when his fangs sink into your skin. His name rolls off your tongue sweetly as your eyes flutter shut and you melt beneath him.

Seokjin moans as he takes his fill, cursing with every suckle as you press your hips against his.

Is there anything you've made (whether it be art or a fanfic or whatever) that you regret/disown?

To me, to regret/disown something would entail crying big tears and pretending it never existed, but I document my stuff, regardless if it's dead, alive, or never lived. But here are some projects I remember killing out of dislike:

I deleted a storyboard music video starring Edd from Ed, Edd n Eddy called "Where Will Edd Go". Found the imagery and song used too dramatic for the topic it discussed, which was his messy hair. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I deleted a drawing/fake playing card starring Edd, again. I included it in another Deviantart submission featuring a bunch of unposted stuff, eventually. It's shrunken down to size, but you can see it was parodying Edd fanart. Didn't find it ironic enough and was too over the top, so removed it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I deleted a Goofy Movie fanfiction that was still going. It was about Max going crazy after failing to save Goofy in that waterfall scene. I think it sat on Fanfiction.net for some years and might've been my first entry, but remember the writing being long-winded and it was another one of those edgy projects I couldn't stand anymore. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I deleted a video of me playing around with a stuffed Simba toy and singing a Lion King inspired rewrite of "Mamma Mia" by ABBA. As you can imagine, I was a preteen at the time. Or was I. The only comment it garnered was critical and I rightly concluded to be a failure and thus removed it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've never reuploaded certain Youtube videos after getting banned multiple times. This concerns all kinds of projects, mainly dubs, music videos, and comedic snippets of Inuyasha and Disney stuff. The reason is more or less the same for all videos: They were a product of the time and objectively unfunny. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cancelled a Beetlejuice (cartoon series) comic that was mostly done. It starred a developing romance between Beetlejuice and Lydia, but he's known this girl since 6th or 7th grade, I can't cheer for that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cancelled a Portal 2 fanfiction around chapter 2 or so. Wheatley is human in that one. I like some of the ideas presented, but I don't care for his thirst for Chell anymore, if I ever even did. A strange fanfiction. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cancelled the prequel to How to Save a Life after it was mostly done. It's that Ed, Edd n Eddy fanfiction where Edd is a rabid vampire and has to be put down like a dog. Vampire Edd is flirting with Sarah in the prequel, but this bitch 12. I don't think I had officially settled on everyone's age back when How to Save a Life itself was being slapped together, hard to say. Coming back to the unfinished text document, I couldn't continue. --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cancelled a Mioo, Dorost Ast joke animation starring human Persian trying to kiss human Meowth after it was mostly done. It didn't take long to make it and I hated it at the end. Looked bad and was too nonsensical to want to redraw it.
