"Are you alright?" Aqua turned to see Terra come toward her. She had never felt so relieved and angered at the same time. "Ven is… with Sabrina." Aqua told him. "Pleasantly." "And you can feel it?" This man must be an idiot. Aqua bit her tongue, pursing her lips together and giving a nod. She contemplated telling the hunter that she could almost hear it too, but admitting as such would probably unravel her modesty by proxy. There had to be another outlet. There had to be a way to stave off Ventus's hunger for Sabrina with a different kind of hunger… A hunger Aqua could control- if she wanted to. "Terra… You can help me." Aqua said, holding his hand toward him. "How?" the man questioned as he moved closer.

Well now you got me curious: what’s this vampire AU and how does it start?

The Kingdom Hearts Wayfinder vampire AU started between @luxmoogle and @pedanticat that inspired the former to start making art for it. It further expanded some ideas from lux's followers when they sent asks and whatnot to their page.

Nothing is canon, just some fun ideas like vampire!Aqua, vampirehunter!Terra, familiar!Ventus, werewolf!Vanitas, and vampire!Eraqus. Lux didn't have plans to add anyone other than the Birth by Sleep gang, so I refer to it was 'Wayfinder vampire AU' most of the time since it doesn't have any official nicknames or whatever.

The fics I've written inspired by the vampire AU are definitely not 'canon' either. Far from it. I've done them for fun and out of inspiration from lux's wonderful artwork. It helped create that spark of 'time for Sabrina to destroy this!' that attacks me when a Disney property (or adjacent like fanfiction) itches just the right spot.

Still less cringe than adding Miss Wabi-Sabi to Count Mickey Dragul back in the day. But I am free.
