(Now I’ll say that the time is now~! The refs for Trojan and Velvett is (finally, in Trojan’s case) revealed!
I’ve been incredibly excited to fully introduce these characters to the interactable side of the blog! And now that they’re here, I’m going to have quite a lot of fun with throwing them into the community! ^^
For the ask-box, I plan to be opening really soon! Either later today or tomorrow (depending on when I get to it), but until then...their refs and bios are unlocked! You can find Trojan’s ref on the Strike Team page of the Night Wardens - right here! As for Velvett, she’s in the Miscellaneous Characters page - also right here!
As an additional note: Velvett was originally designed by @nicnacks-art-shack, she was adopted by me and her ref (as well as Trojan’s) were made by @shadowscarknight~)

Continued from here | @norehliananecdotes
I raise an eyebrow at her, grinning all the while. “A lady of few words, I see. Short and straight to the point.” I let out a snicker. “And I assume your name originates from the flower? It’s quite a pleasant name, not to mention I feel that the meaning of said flower may be very appropriate for a warrior such as yourself~”
I trace a claw up my body before stopping underneath my chin, my grin becoming a playful smirk. “And indeed it would be a fair trade if I were to give you my name, in fact it would be most especially rude if I were to remain anonymous when you’ve oh so kindly honored my request~” The claw under my chin lifts up and taps my cheek a few times before lowering itself down to my side. “If Dahlia is something you wish me to call you, then Velvett is what you shall call me~”
I slowly saunter towards her, my gaze briefly glancing at her blade before focusing back onto her face. “I still can’t quite shake my thoughts off that blade of yours, dear Dahlia. You say that its nicks each tell a story? Do tell~” I stop a foot from her, my pink eyes burning with fascination, more so on the Mienshao than the actual sword itself. “I have all the time in the world, so I do hope you’re willing to indulge me with a story or two~”
What can I say? When I encounter an interesting character, I can’t help but be fascinated~

Act 2 - Illusion Charms
[PoV: Velvett]
I look at the two necklaces in my hands, feeling accomplished with the result of the illusion charms. Such work may be slow, but it’s never hard for me. I’ve created enough of them to truly master the craft.
And of course I don’t know if they truly work yet since they haven’t been put to the test, but I’m that confident in my skills to know that they’ll work just fine~
“I’m finished~!” I singsong, gaining the attention of my three newest companions.
The trio of them were pretty much lounging around while I worked, giving me space to create these charms. I didn’t really need the space though since I’m no amateur, but the thought behind it is appreciated nonetheless.
The first to approach me is Bladesong, the cyborg looking at the necklaces curiously. “So those are the charms you were making?” She asks before wincing, probably realizing how obvious the question is.
I snicker. “Indeed! And of course admiring them won’t do us any good, we need to see how well the illusion fits on you after all~” I offer one of them to her, the necklace possessing a smooth metal sphere inscribed with numerous runes on its surface.
She eagerly takes the necklace and immediately puts it around her neck.
Turning my gaze to Chimera, I see him standing with crossed arms. “I haven’t forgotten about you~” I say to him, winking. I extend the other necklace to him, in which he carefully accepts.
“So...” Bladesong speaks up. “How does this work?”
I look back to see that she’s poking at the necklace uncertainly, clearly confused.
“Simply putting it on won’t activate the enchantment, my dear!” I laugh. “I always make sure that these charms have a verbal activation, so you can throw it on whenever without worrying of the illusion immediately taking effect.” I lightly scratch my cheek with one of my claws. “Simply cup the metal sphere of the necklace in one of your hands and say ‘Star’, it’ll activate right after~”
I’ve never seen someone grasp a necklace so quick. Bladesong immediately did just that and says the word.
“Star?” She says uncertainly, as if doubting it’ll actually work.
And the second she said the word while clutching the necklace, the black fire immediately surrounded her form, causing her to yelp in surprise. The fire only lasted for a second though, since it dissipates immediately.
Now I get to see the result of my expertly crafted illusion~
Standing in place is a cyborg Pokemon no more, for in her steed is a more ‘normal’ Human.
Her body-shape and hair-style remain the same, but that’s all where the similarities stop. She now has light fair skin, her eyes a nice shade of green, and each of her fingers end with bright pink nails - as if she recently visited a nail salon. The two bladed tentacles on the back of her head have been changed to a pair of long black braids of hair, their length being the same as said tendrils. Her body sports a simple white t-shirt with jeans, and on her feet is a pair of red sneakers.
The only thing that truly stands out from her are her abnormally long braids, but between that and her simply waltzing around Progria in her full glory? We’d much rather take the former.
Upon looking at her hands Bladesong’s eyes widen instantly. “Whoa!” She exclaims, her gaze rapidly shifting from her hands to her own body.
“There’s the nearby spring if you want to properly look at yourself.” I remind her, in which she immediately dashes towards said pool of water.
As I watch her run off, I hear the quiet mutter of Chimera, saying the activation word ‘Star’.
After another burst of black flame, the result of his transformation is also quite different.
Now he is a man of dark brown skin, with rich blue eyes and not an ounce of hair on his head - an excellent fit for him. His attire consists of a black hoodie, jeans, and brown boots. His appearance was far more easy to work with since his form is shaped exactly like a Human, so he’ll blend into Progria just fine~
He glances down at his hands, taking note of his changed appearance. “Brown skin huh?” He mutters, turning the appendages around so he can see the palms. “Never thought I’d see myself switching skin colors three times in my lifetime. From white to orange to brown.” He shrugs his shoulders. “Then again, back then I never expected it to change to begin with.”
I blink, not quite understanding on what he meant. “Switching skin colors?” I say, tilting my head slightly.
He waves me off. “Just me muttering, forget it.” He dismisses before making his way over to the spring, most likely to check his own reflection.
I’m not necessarily sure on what he meant by that, but it wouldn’t do me well to pry, or at least for now~
As for the spring, so far Bladesong looks to be fawning over herself, turning her face and body so she can see every last detail of her newfound disguise.
“Even though you do have a reputation for your illusions, it’s still quite impressive to see them firsthand.” Trojan comments, floating over beside me.
I grin at this. “What can I say? I’m good at what I do~”
He crosses his floating arms. “I can’t even discern if it’s real or not, the fact that it’s fooling even my digital feed is quite outstanding.”
“That’s due to the sheer complexity of the illusion. It holds enough ‘realness’ to fool things like cameras, which I presume is how you’re seeing.” I say, looking at his digital eyes. “And vision is not the only thing my illusions fool. If one were to touch them, their senses will give them the texture they’re expecting~” My smile falters somewhat. “Although...it does have its limits. Extended physical contact is not recommended, since that’s where the illusion will begin to falter. If they touch something for longer than fifteen seconds, the faux-sensation will give way to what they’re actually feeling.”
“Such as for Bladesong’s case, the feeling of fabric would be replaced with metal?” Trojan asks.
I nod. “Indeed. My illusions are quite powerful, although they’re considerably weaker when placed into charms.” A frown fully takes my face. “I also say that they should avoid combat at all costs while under the illusion. If anything were to strike their forms while the illusion is in-effect, it’ll disrupt the magic field to the point where it’ll break down completely, thus causing the illusion to disappear.”
“And we don’t want that.” He says with his own nod. “This information will definitely need to be relayed to them so that they’ll keep these precautions in mind.”
“Of course, I don’t plan to leave them without it after all.” I chuckle, my smile returning. I turn my head slightly to look at him more, one of my eyebrows raising. “Are you sure you don’t want a charm like them? I’m quite sure I can whip up something for your unique form~”
He shakes his head. “The offer is most appreciated, however it would ultimately be useless for me. Not only do I intend to not go out in public, I don’t even intend to use this body for most of the mission.”
This makes me pause. “Body?” I repeat, my eyebrows raising. “Are you saying that this isn’t your actual form?”
He laughs at this. “Oh definitely not! My true form is made of pure energy! Throughout this mission I intend to inhabit the electronics at our base of operations, so that I may effectively communicate with them while they’re out in the field. That and effectively gather information through the web the moment they need it.” He taps his body with a metal finger. “This body is merely something for me to efficiently travel around, that and manipulate objects.” He waggles his fingers for emphasis. “But regardless, although the offer is appreciated, your efforts would ultimately be wasted.”
“That...makes more sense now.” I say slowly, my mind processing this newfound information.
Glad that I’m understanding, Trojan turns his floating head to look at the two disguised individuals - who are still examining their forms through the reflection of the spring. “So...” He starts again. “...Should we be leaving now?”
I cross my arms, smirking. “I’d say give them a few more minutes to admire themselves~” And most importantly, admire my work~

Act 2 - ‘Gas’ Station
[PoV: Bladesong]
Back before I was a cyborg, I used to be able to walk for a little while before needing to rest. Sure everyone can walk quite a distance, but eventually your feet will start aching to the point where you really need to sit down.
Now a few miles? I admit that my feet weren’t really tough enough for something that far, especially since it takes about an hour to walk that. Now that I’m a cyborg though, walking that is laughable since I can travel several miles at a full sprint and not feel an ounce of exhaustion - the travel time being far less than an hour I might also add.
Chimera’s the same way in this regard, due to his Deoxys genes he experiences exhaustion on a level different from us. So trekking several miles is simple to us two. Velvett however? Not quite as simple. We had to make a brief stop for her to rest her feet, but it didn’t take very long since she was ready to continue after around ten minutes.
For the walk itself? It wasn’t until we were getting close to our destination I began to see traces of Progrian life - the most noticeable being the roads.
I’ve seen asphalt roads before, since some cities and places in Evolutia have cars. But these roads? They’re different. It’s white with glistening yellow lines on it, the road being so smooth that it only seems like metal. Lining it are countless metal lamps, their similarly white bodies strangely not reflecting any sunlight.
Not a single car though.
“The station is over there~” Velvett says, pointing towards a small building in the distance. “Once we get into my car, I’ll take us straight to my place in New Falkhom City.”
“Sounds good.” Chimera responds neutrally.
His mood still hasn’t improved much since the name fiasco, sadly.
The rest of the walk was in relative silence, although not quite as uncomfortable - from what I can tell at least. I spent a lot of my time observing the road mostly, the whole shininess of it making it incredibly tempting to just walk up and touch it. I didn’t do this though, since Chimera gave me several rundowns on Progrian laws involving traffic and what-not.
‘Unless during an emergency or if there’s no assigned walkways, pedestrians aren’t allowed to walk on the roads where vehicles drive.’
Well, honestly that sounds less like an actual law and more of a personal rule of his. I didn’t argue though, and I won’t do that now - especially since there’s a sidewalk beside the road for us.
Once we arrive at this gas station, I notice that the place really is...rather tiny. It’s just a small convenience mart, and it only has enough fuel dispensers to house up to two cars.
Sheesh, I guess this area doesn’t get much traffic.
As I’m checking the place out, the second thing I notice is that the fuel dispensers look...very different. Back in Evolutia I’m used to seeing the standard gasoline pumps - with the nozzle and all, but these? They look akin to that of generators, and their ‘nozzles’ share a strong resemblance to plugs.
Then I saw the sign.
"Zach’s Charge Shack?” I say aloud, reading the prices for how much it costs to charge vehicles. “Wasn’t this supposed to be a gas station?”
Velvett shrugs. “That’s what the people in Progria still call them, although they’ve long since switched from gasoline to electricity for their cars.” She taps her lip with a finger. “They’ve massively increased the efficiency of electrical cars from what I remember. That and combining the fact that they’ve found far superior methods of producing power? Fossil fuels are practically nonexistent in Progria now.”
Chimera nods his head. “Various corporations realized how profitable it was to sell electrical power instead of gasoline, so the switch was relatively fast.” He crosses his arms, his expression becoming thoughtful. “This was also due to the fact that vast amounts of technology being made also depended on electricity, and with nuclear fusion now being a staple for power plants? It’s-”
“Wait wait wait wait!” I interrupt him. “Nuclear fusion?! They’ve succeeded in creating fusion reactors?!”
He looks at me with confusion. The look didn’t last though since he realized that I’m not well-versed in Progria - besides the essential stuff he told me. “I don’t remember the exact date, but I do know that it was around twenty years ago that fusion reactors were being produced wide-spread for commercial use within Progria.” He cups his chin with a hand. “I often forget that us Progrians tend to guard our knowledge on technology, not only from Pokemon of Evolutia but also from the rest of the outside world.”
“Us Progrians?” Velvett repeats, stopping and turning to him with her own confused look. “Are you saying that you’re a Progrian?”
Both Chimera and I blink.
Hold on, she doesn’t know that he was originally a Human? I kinda thought that the GoT might’ve informed her about this, since...well...that’s kinda important since we’re right in the middle of a country consisting ENTIRELY of Humans.
Chimera looks at her for a long while before shaking his head. “Forget it.” He mutters. “We need to keep going, we’ve hung around long enough.”
Velvett didn’t look very happy with this response, but she wisely chose not to press the issue. Instead she turns and walks towards one of the corners of the lot in the ‘gas’ station, in which I see a black car.
Now, I’ve seen a few cars when I’ve went to the more advanced towns and cities of Evolutia. They looked pretty cool and all, ranging from ‘SUVs’ to ‘trucks’.
But this car? Damn.
It has a very smooth and sleek design, reminding me that of the rare Sports Car in Evolutia. However this thing looks much bigger than those - since said Sports Cars tend to be rather cramped for size. But besides that, I have a strong feeling that this car would easily beat any regular Sports Car in a race tenfold.
Velvett reaches behind her back and pulls a set of keys seemingly out of thin-air. The only explanation I could give would be that they were hidden in her extremely long hair - which is currently disguised to be very short from her illusion. With the keys in hand she presses a button on it, and the car immediately lights up with several flashes from its headlights.
“Alright, time to load up!” She says, pressing another button that causes the trunk to open.
The trunk was surprisingly spacious, being big enough for us to fit the numerous stuff we brought with us. Once everything was packed away we all climbed into the car - carefully in my case due to my extremely heavy weight. Much to my surprise though the car didn’t even budge when I got in - nor is it even slightly leaning towards the side I’m sitting in. All this can tell me is that this thing is built to carry heavy loads - whether this is a specialized trait though I’m not sure.
Also...damn... The inside looks just as nice as the outside too.
The seats are very soft and comfortable, being made of a black fabric that I don’t recognize. There’s lots of buttons and knobs around the place as well, allowing the people inside to adjust the interior to make themselves more comfortable.
Currently I’m sitting in the right-rear side of the vehicle while the suit-case holding Trojan is on the left, Chimera is currently in the passenger seat while Velvett is obviously in the driver’s.
“Buckle your seatbelts!” She says, tapping the keys against a glowing blue light on the side of her steering wheel. Upon contact the car starts up, unlike the normally loud rumbles that a gasoline engine makes, the sound coming from this car is instead soft hum.
It took me a little bit to figure out how to put on a seat belt - to my embarrassment, but I managed to wrestle the thing into the slot.
With all of us secured in our seats, Velvett shifts the vehicle in drive...
...and then we were off.

Act 2 - Border Crossed
[PoV: Bladesong]
As much as it’s nice to admire the beauty of nature, sometimes even that tends to get rather...old. The walk towards the border has been relatively uneventful, the only thing keeping me from being bored is the occasional conversation with Velvett. However those conversations tend to be very brief since Chimera wants us to stay relatively quiet.
One thing I’ll say that I’ve noticed is that the forest has actually become a lot less dense as of late. The trees are spaced farther apart from each other, causing a lot more sunlight to shine down.
Does this mean anything of importance? Probably, although the best that I can tell is that we’re actually making distance.
I turn my gaze away from the umpteenth tree I’ve stared at, my eyes half-lidded due to boredom. I probably would’ve fallen asleep if it wasn’t for the fact that I noticed that Chimera stopped.
“It’s time to disguise ourselves.” He says suddenly, catching me off-guard.
“Disguise ourselves?” I speak up, confused. “What for? Aren’t we supposed to wait until we passed the border?”
“We’ve passed the border fifteen minutes ago.” Trojan points out.
At this I couldn’t help but balk. “Fifteen minutes ago?!” I repeat. “So we simply just...walked into Progria?!”
Velvett smirks. “There’s no giant wall separating the two countries, Bladesong. The border isn’t something that’s supervised.”
Well...shit.
“I didn’t realize that it was that easy to slip in.” I mutter, grabbing my amulet and whispering the incantation - activating my illusion. “I did kinda assumed that there would be some kind of measures taken place to prevent people from crossing.”
“If such a thing was in place, then it would be counter-productive for the HWDP.” Chimera responds coldly, also activating his illusion. “Although an unsupervised border could mean that Pokemon could simply walk into Progria, it also means that the HWDP can do the exact same thing as well.” He shakes his head. “Besides, another reason is that most Pokemon and Humans have no interest in crossing the border to begin with, thus the further lack of need for protective measures.”
I nod my head slowly, the reasons given to me sounding very understandable - albeit I couldn’t help but grimace at the part on the HWDP.
The ‘Now-Human’ Chimera turns to Trojan and sets the large brief-case case he’s holding onto the ground. Upon undoing the locks, he opens it up and gestures to it. “It’s time to hide yourself, Trojan.”
The Rotogon-Z bobs his head in response. “Understood.”
When Trojan flies over to the opened case, my eyes widen as I watch him start to ‘fold up’. His body begins to just...compress itself. Pieces begin folding inward or separate, making him smaller and smaller. After becoming small enough, all of the parts levitate into the briefcase and fit in seamlessly like some sort of jigsaw puzzle.
Once he’s secured, Chimera closes the case shut and picks it back up. “We can continue.” He says, turning to Velvett. “You said that there’s a place that solves our transportation problem?”
I look at Velvett to see what her response would be, however I end up balking for a second time.
Due to me watching Trojan ‘shrink’ himself, I didn’t notice that Velvett put an illusion on herself. Instead of a Delphox, she’s now a Human being.
Her skin is a very light color, her eyes a soft green, and her hair is black - styled into a short ponytail. Her attire consists of a black unbuttoned leather jacket, a white shirt, black sweat pants, and brown shoes. Two other details I notice is that her fingernails are painted a vibrant pink, and she’s still wearing her pentagram necklace.
“I did say that~” Velvett grins, her teeth being a pearly white. “There’s a small gas station a few miles away from here. I have a car parked there just for this occasion.” She rests a hand on her hip while examining the nails of the other. “The owner knows me rather well, so there won’t be any questions~”
I blink. “Knows you well?” I ask. Is she referring to the fact that this ‘owner’ knows who she really is?
She waves me off, understanding my confusion. “Knows me well as in my persona~ Here in Progria, I have a different identity. Pokemon aren’t really common here, so can’t have people knowing that I’m a Delphox, can we~?”
I wince, realizing that I should’ve come to that conclusion immediately. “Yeah...” I nod my head, smiling sheepishly. “Don’t want that happening.”
Nodding back, she turns to the path before us. “Now, it’ll be quite a walk before we get to the station.” She says, continuing the trek. “In the meanwhile, we’ll need to come up with some names for all of you to use. Here? I’m Jessiana Stars, Jessy for short~” She glances back at us. “As for the rest of you? I don’t believe ‘Chimera’ and ‘Bladesong’ will fly, so let’s brainstorm some names for the both of you on the way~”
We’re all following her now. When I look to see Chimera’s expression on the matter, his look tells me that he wants none of this ‘brainstorming’. “Benjamin will be fine.” He says lowly.
Velvett (or should I refer to her as Jessy now?) looks back at him, her face being one of disappointment. “Benjamin? Really?”
I hear a growl come from Chimera. Even though he’s carrying a lot of luggage, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not because he’s frustrated with carrying all of the weight.
“Is there a problem with the name?” He asks her angrily.
She rolls her eyes. “In my opinion, it’s a rather boring name. Although boring names are efficient in keeping yourself hidden, I think you should at least take a bit more liberty in choosing one.” She taps her cheek in thought. “Think of something a bit more creative. How about Sullivan? Or maybe Laslo? Or possibly even-”
“Benjamin is my original name, BEFORE I became what I am now.” He hisses. “So this name...is fine.” The Deoxys-hybrid glares at her. “Drop. It. Now. End of discussion.”
Although Velvett is still walking, the posture of her body is frozen. Her mouth is open in wordless shock, and her eyes? They’re telling me exactly what she’s thinking - ‘Oh shit’.
Me? I’m seriously cringing right now, for both Velvett and Chimera. Truth be told I didn’t even know Chimera’s true name either, since that’s something he kinda left unsaid. So this is definitely news to me too.
Wanting to break the now incredibly tense silence, I decide to speak up. “I know what I’ll be called.” I say, smiling awkwardly. “I’ve chosen Amelia, since it’s also my original name.” I shrug my shoulders, chuckling just as awkwardly as my smile. “I don’t use it anymore since I see myself as a completely changed person, because of the whole cyborg thing.” My bladed tendrils twitch restlessly. “Bladesong is what I normally want to be called, but for now? Amelia will be good.” I start readjusting the giant crate that’s being carried over my shoulder, knowing that I’d be sweating now if I could. “’Cus...you know... The whole thing about us needing fake names... Since our current names don’t work... And...stuff...”
Well, if there’s an article about the term ‘Going down in flames’, this would be a prime example.
Me talking seems to have snapped Velvett out of her haze though, since she looks at me and smiles kindly - the first smile I’ve seen that’s not in the least bit playful. “It’s a very lovely name, I’ll be sure to remember calling you that.”
Chimera doesn’t say anything, but he lets out a quiet grunt before shaking his head, his expression going from pissed-off to impassive.
Well, the atmosphere isn’t tense anymore.
So...
...Nailed it?

Act 2 - Moving Out
[PoV: Velvett]
As entertaining as it is to watch the two look themselves over with their new illusions, I knew that all fun things come to an end, specifically when began Chimera approaching me.
“Your work is impressive.” He says with a nod. “I believe we’ll blend in with no issue.”
I snort at this, looking at him with amusement. “I hope so, I’ve only been doing this for many years, after all~”
He blinks before shaking his head. “...Anyways...” He continues. “I believe it’s best that we start moving, since time is at the essence. We need to reach New Falkhom City as quickly as possible.” Upon saying the name of the city he pauses. “I...assume that we have a quick mode of transportation? The city is very far from here.”
I wave him off. “Don’t worry~ Once we get a little ways past the border, transpiration will be the least of your worries.” I scratch my cheek. “Keep in mind, I’ve been living in Progria for quite a while now~”
“I assumed as much.” He says flatly before turning over to Bladesong and Trojan, the former still admiring her appearance while the latter looks to be bored. “It is time to leave!” He shouts to them, getting their attention. With this done, he turns back to me. “You’re free to lead the way.”
“Why thank you for the offer of leadership~” I smirk, but only briefly. “However I recommend that you and Bladesong dispel the illusions for now. Although unlikely, if we were to get spotted, it would be wise to not have your illusions up.”
“Duly noted.” He nods, reaching for his amulet to pull it off.
Or at least that’s what he would’ve done if I didn’t place my hand on his hand.
“Now now, that’s completely unnecessary~” I coo, receiving an irritated look from him in exchange. “Simply say the same activation word again, and it’ll dispel it. That way you don’t have to remove the amulet~” With that I remove my hand from him.
“...I see...” He mutters, looking rather put-off by my sudden invasion of personal space.
He and Bladesong did as I said, and immediately the illusions fizzle out of existence.
“Now that everyone’s ready...” I turn on my heels, walking back the way I came. “Follow me, dearies~! It’s time we head to the land of Humans~!”
“Land of Humans? Heh, quite a way to word it.” I hear Bladesong chuckle.
A quiet ‘hmph’ from Chimera more than told me his stance on my choice of words.
A wide grin forms on my lips.
Yeah, this’ll be very fun~

Flara @ Velvett: It's lovely to meet another witch, fufufu, but I must admit, I'm shocked that another witch would align herself with a coven. Our kind are so usually alone, at least in my homeland. -she takes a thoughtful pause- So tell me, what exactly *is* this coven? What are the benefits of belonging?
[PoV: Velvett]
Watching Bladesong and Chimera proved to be far more entertaining than I first anticipated. How they frequently twisted and turned to further inspect their reflections in the water, it’s almost adorable.
A strong sense of smugness fills my being due to this, since this further shows how excellent I am at my craft~ Yet this feeling left as quickly as it came, for the voice of another newcomer draws away my attention away from the two individuals.
When I turn to see who this new visitor is, I found myself blinking several times in stunned silence…
When I recollected my thoughts? A smirk forms on my lips.
Although I’ve encountered a few Ninetales in the past, it’s definitely a first to see one with a coat as black as hers. Her accessories are also an eye-catcher, quite exotic~
Yet as much of an attention-grabber her appearance is, her words are another story entirely - or more specifically, her implication that she’s a witch herself.
Oh my, the surprises just keep on coming~
“It’s a pleasant revelation for I as well to encounter another witch, especially one I'm not familiar with~” I say, turning my head slightly to the side.
When she finishes her inquiries, I scratch my chin with a red claw. “Curious of the Star Coven, hmm? You’re not the first to ask me about them~” I let out a snicker. “Nor will you be the last, I feel.”
Placing a hand on my hip, I continue. “Although many witches tend to live a solitary life, the Star Coven offers many benefits to those who fit their requirements~” I pause briefly. “In fact? If it weren’t for me encountering them, I never would’ve become a witch to begin with. Those who meet their specifications would be accepted wholeheartedly, and thus will be taught to tap into their essence to weave spells and charms that are unique only to them~”
“Yet that comes down to what the Star Coven looks in others, which I assume you’re curious of~” I grin. The smile didn’t last for long though, for my expression grows thoughtful as I recall the information. “I’ve told this to an individual recently, actually. The requirements to join the Star Coven are surprisingly few, although very specific. The biggest one is also the identity of the Star Coven, which is you must be a Delphox who's also a hybrid of that of another creature.”
I shake my head, letting out a quiet chuckle. “There are reasons behind it of course. We of the Star Coven compose of witches who draw power from our genes, using it to shape our magic. This of course leaves us very specialized, but our power in our specific field is very great.” My gaze drifts away from the Ninetales, focusing on the pool of water not far from us. “This sort of magic requires mixed genes that only a hybrid possesses, yet only Delphox possess this magic to begin with. This is why the requirement exists, to create a coven of witches who draw power from their genes as well as train fledgling witches - so that they may harness magic that is unique due to their identity alone~”
I tap my head with a claw. “Such an example would be myself, for my magic specializes in illusions due to my Zoroark genes. My illusions weaved through magic are far stronger than that of those conjured from natural power, for they not only fool sight, but also smell and touch~” A small wisp of black flame manifests on the tip of one of my claws. The fire burning brilliantly, yet it dissipates a few moments later when I cease feeding it my power. “If I were to shroud myself with an illusion of a Garchomp, those touching my skin would receive a sensation you’d expect from rough skin - what one would anticipate when touching such a Dragon.”
I shake my head, realizing that I may be rambling. “Of course that is but one of many things that I’m capable of, but that is a conversation that would take the entirety of both of our days.” I snicker. “However to summarize my answer, the Star Coven is comprised entirely of Delphox hybrids. We aim to seek out other potential witches who would benefit greatly to learn to tap into their inner-magic, so that they may shape it to further enhance the powers that’s gifted from their genes. What we use said power for however...” I quiet snort escapes me. “It all depends on the individual, but most cases we tend to offer our magic to others as services - for a price of course~” I follow this with a wink.
“Now as much as I enjoy talking about myself, I’m more interested in you.” I gesture to her with an open palm. “I can confidently assume that you’re not from around here, so that would also mean that your power differs greatly from mine~ Witches are known for the versatility and variety of their craft, each one wielding power that’s differs greatly from the next~” I let out a loud laugh. “I can’t even begin to fathom the identity of your power. However...” I look back at her, my eyes glittering. “If you’re willing to part with such information, I’d be more than interested to hear~”
Remembering that I’ve been negligent on proper edicate, I snicker again. “And of course so that you don’t need to refer to me as ‘another witch’ in the future, you may call me Velvett.”
