Spent the last few weeks working on upgrades for Vex's wedding dress for Detour. And by upgrades I mean adding a 28 inch tall beadwork design onto the train of the dress.

Thankfully beadwork is fun and (mostly) relaxing. I tried my hand a tambour for a bit when attempting to add sequins to the design but getting my fabric to tension properly for tambour is a pain, even with the wrapped frame, and I'm just not well practiced enough not to mangle my fabric while working. So, these pieces are entirely done by hand needle and thread, which I found more manuverable in the tight spaces anyway.

I think I'll be able to use tambour more on my next big beadwork project, as it is definitely preferred for sequins, but for glass beads, I may stick to hand needle.
