after years of hunting down the Coraline on ps2 game for a reasonable price to no avail, I finally caved and decided to get an emulator to enjoy the game.

i'm using Dolphin for mac, you can get it (and other emulators) on Vimm's Lair

then download Coraline for Wii from HERE

**if you get a message along the lines of "FIFO is overflowed by GatherPipe!" followed by the game crashing, then it means you have to disable dual core processing by clicking the "General" tab in the game's properties, then uncheck the "Enable Dual Core" box, save settings**

a little glitchy at times and learning the controls on the keyboard kinda sucks, but so far so good! if my mac bursts into flames, I will report back.

Harrassing nintendo's social media isnt going to get them to take away the DMCA. In fact, it may only harden their decisions.

Vimm's lair situation is in all liklihood a copyright troll, which makes this all the more horrible. Nintendo can no longer pretend Vimms Lair doesn't exist. And now they have to bring down the hammer because the fucks who will buy the next games Nintendo releases wanted to have their five minute's hate.

Even if nintendo is behind this, It is NO excuse for harrassing their social media.

If yall want nintendo to stop this behavior. BOYCOTT. THEIR. FUCKING. PRODUCTS.

Everything now is more a "Tragedy of the commons." than it is corporate meddling.

If you ever feel useless just remember that Nintendo took down Vinms lair, a website that was preserving games that Nintendo didn’t sell anymore. ( I mean sure it was piracy but who cares)

this might be old news by now but i just found out about it myself. im beyond pissed what happened to vimms lair, it was such an incredible place for game archive and now a good majority of it i believe or at least a large chunk of the games aren't accessible anymore. Because allegedly, people on twitter kept talking about it a lot publicly so of course news caught on to these game companies like nintendo, that caused the owner of vimm's lair having to take down (or at least put them offline) a bunch of games. I am BEGGING you all, please, do not talk about your piracy sources so publicly. Because if you do, this happens.

If you know a good source for piracy, share that shit privately, do not post about it all willy nilly. For those who don't know where to start in terms of pirating something, ask someone for help privately. Your friends or family or even just someone on here that you know would be willing to help, please do not spread this shit publicly. Remember when I helped put together that zine?

Well its getting a print run!!!!!! Hand cut, printed myself, and shipped myself right to YOU! 76 pages of pure, glossy goodness! Articles, comics, fiction, and multimedia fun! All around piracy, emulation, games, AND MORE! Its priced as close to cost as i can do without committing tax fraud! Which is 7 Us bucks and whatever it costs to ship to you! Final thing should be a bit under 8.5"x11". I would make it larger but im restricted by the tools i have available! This is a limited run since its not entirely my own stuff in here and so i have purpopsefully done this so i dont make a profit lol Taking payments through donations on Kofi!! currently have a bunch of order already lined up! Please pick one up or share it for a friend! Consider spreading it, or at least spread the free link i posted to read it online!

Things I don't like about Nintendo:

Making games impossible to play again (Vimm's Lair getting raided by a bunch of companies including Nintendo, online stores getting shut down by Nintendo, more than one subscription required for some NSO Virtual Consoles like Genesis, N64, and GBA, lack of regional translations and ports, etc.)

Taking down fan creations (fan games, mods, music remixes, gameplay videos, etc.)

Putting limits on the monetization of tournaments featuring their games (https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/63433/~/community-tournament-guidelines)

Shutting down online services for consoles that are still very popular and used frequently (3DS getting shut down recently.)

The Switch and a few of the more recent games on it being not that great (Pokemon especially, I'm pretty sure the Wii ran better and it's almost 17 years old.)

Now I know that Nintendo isn't the only one that does this. Microsoft, Sega, and Sony aren't that great with their older games (though some of those are better than others), but Nintendo is much worse and much more strict. Sega doesn't even make consoles anymore, and modding isn't as popular on PlayStation and Xbox platforms due to it being tricky, but their games that are on PC have had plenty of mods, and the companies have no issue with them. I've heard the Xbox Series X/S isn't too good, same with the PS5, though I haven't noticed whenever I used my friend's consoles, and I have an Xbox 1 and PS4. The consoles are also definitely better than their previous gens, which is hard to say with the Switch (hot take, I prefer the Wii U 💀).

Guys i just started playing this game called magicians quest mysterious times ITS SO CUTE AND CHARMING SO FAR AAAAAA

I cant wait to progress more in the game!!!!! I've barely done anything at all (I literally just have the beige closet sitting alone in my dorm lol) but I am STOKED I really cant believe this game isnt popular
