Damn, after your last few posts with anons, it just became clear to me how much stuff Tae doesn’t know until he finds out in the group chat. And I’m sure it’s not like the other members are hiding it from him specifically (except maybe when JM didn’t ask him to go to Jeju because he thought Tae was too busy with solo promos). I’m sure all 7 have so much going on that it’s hard to keep up with the schedules of each member all the time.

But Tae’s the only one who bothers to show up (or arrange to be included) after finding out about a certain schedule? Whether it’s AYS or Suchwita or a Weverse live? Is it always and exclusively for JK?

I’m not a Tkkr, I promise. I’m very much in the Jikook camp. But I just cannot decide what to make of Tae’s behaviour. I still don’t know if he is a narcissistic attention-seeker and loves to feed the cult or if he is majorly misunderstood and just has intense fomo and JK is his only dongsaeng so he can get away with popping up unannounced.

Every time he went on live for two minutes seemingly just to drop JK’s name makes me think the former.

When he said to Jimin that he was hurt Jimin didn’t tell him about the Jeju trip, it makes me think the latter.

But then when he pops into a random ARMY chat to drop a selfie, it seems like he’s being self-centered again.

I think one would only come to this conclusion if they limit things to chapter two and this is also a sort of cherry picking or tunnel vision because before chapter two, we never ever really saw Tae show up for anything of Jk’s and he did show up for other members like Jhope and Namjoon when they had their solo shoots.

I think in chapter two, Tae was trying to do things differently. During seasons greeting 2022, he said his gift to members was going to try to spend more time with them more because that is something he didn’t really do before. Before the solo era Tae mostly spent his off time with his friends outside of work and his wooga members so I guess he wanted to do things differently in chapter two and that is why we saw him actually taking the initiative to spend time with members. He invited Jk to hang out with his friends, also invited Hobi to hang out with his friends, went to support Yoongi during his concert, made time to hang out with Jimin and invited him to his fanmeet and also joined Jimin in his video for CTT. I think he also visited Namjoon or something because he posted some shoes that were Namjoon’s or something so in my opinion, Tae was making a concious decision to actually spend time with his members which is something he didn’t do before.

Yea maybe he seemed a little more focused on Jk maybe by chance or design but it clearly doesn’t mean anything more than that he loves and wanted to support his friend because if they were together, he wouldn’t constantly have to find out about Jk’s schedules from the groupchat would he?

To be honest with you I can’t say I know either but I don’t think he ever had any alterior motives. Maybe it was just something as simple as him wanting to spend time with Jk or maybe he is just misunderstood. I also think that some of his actions when it came to Jk were intentional but not because he was trying to feed the cult but maybe because he wanted to show that he and Jk were in a much better place. I think Tae cares about how fans perceive his relationship with the members and how fans see him as a person. I mean he admitted to going into a fan group chat, pretending to be a fan and saying bad things about himself to see what the fans would say. He also spends a lot of time within fan spaces as over the years, he has posted memes, pictures and fanarts that he could have only seen by being neck deep in fan spaces so I think it is clear that he is very aware of the things fans say so maybe he wanted fans to know that him and Jk were in a much better place after their talk on ITS. I could be wrong about this but that is how I interpreted some of his actions.

Also if you know Tae, you know that he has moments when he tends to fixate on particular members. There was a time when his fixation was Jimin. He would go on fancafe and talk about Jimin alot, make posts that could be viewed as romantic about Jimin and then immediately delete them, his weverse is packed with pictures and videos of Jimin, he responded to fans who were asking about Jimin etc. What he was doing with Jungkook in the solo era wasn’t new tbh because anyone who has been in the fandom long enough and paid attention to Vmin, knows that Tae used to go crazy lol.

He is an enigma and could be very difficult to read sometimes but I don’t think there is ever any malice behind his actions.

claiming ot7 and loving all members, isn’t the same as being able to see someone’s faults, and V has many many faults. They all do, they are human.

Army need to give it up. Their relationship is still strong but it’s definitely not the same and that is normal. Not only does V have Wooga but he also has Miss Jennie, this changes things and it’s normal. I assume he invited himself to jeju bc he was going through something atp, but he still was distant and went off with Wooga. He knew he was 3rd wheeling. Dude has no self awareness or appropriate boundaries.

Jimin has a really good and fostered relationship with Hobi, Jin, Yoongi and Joon, but I can tell you from things he’s said he and V have not really been keeping tabs on each other in chapter 2 save for a few outings, and that’s also fine. People grow apart but remain friends, it’s normal. They are not soulmates, and not even bff atp. Hobi is Jimins bff.

What's funny to me is them ignoring Tae's captions about Jimin the other day. Like I don't blame jkk for going nuts right now, but the tk/jikook fighting back and forth while Tae is posting videos of him and Jimin singing, love you right back and love me right back to each other and he captioned it with "If you keep doing this I will get too obsessed/fall. When you do this, I feel happy", is taking me out. lol Vmin just sneaking jabs in and no one sees it.

I think this occurrence happens along all ships—in this case, mainly the maknae line variations.

There are behaviors that two of them are shown to be doing that gets ignored by the other camps, which is to be expected. JM jokingly performing the chin move with JK and TH while Vms and Jkks act like it’s exclusive to their ship is a glaring example of this dissonance. And I don’t think Vms and Jkks are pretending JM didn’t do it to the other as a petty dig or anything like that, but it’s more likely it just bears little relevance to their ship.

If I could broadly compare this behavior to something else, it would be to individual bias accounts where they cut out members in a clip to highlight what their bias is doing. I don’t see it as malicious or anti because their content is clearly geared towards a specific audience.

Overall, though, it’s why I’m not so enthusiastic about [borderline] delusional takes Jkks and Tkks have, because somewhere in between their dick measuring contest is Vmin nuzzling each other with such profound intimacy it makes me gag (lovingly).

From the teasers, it sounds like a good song. I’ve been liking Tae’s vocal evolution in the last couple years and he sounds probably the best he’s ever sounded, in those teasers. So I’m looking forward to it.

I don’t care that it’s a similar title to Jimin’s song. Trying to gatekeep song titles is the sort of thing that only makes sense in the mind of a k-pop stan, especially the sort who’s gotten sucked in. In my opinion.

Hi I would like to share a thought that I have had since the first moment of the announcement of Tae's appearance and that makes me very curious, also English is not my native language so I hope to make myself understood and I am sorry if I make mistakes. My curiosity comes from the fact that how Tae expressed himself? I don't know if there is any other way to put it in how he invited himself, I mean he said he felt hurt because JM didn't tell him that he was preparing the trip and since he felt like he had been left out, note also that at all times he only addressed to Jm and here is my question, why did he feel he had the right to think that JM would have to inform him of something in which he was clearly not going to take part? Because it doesn't matter if the fandom wants OT7fication, AYS was Jikook content and always will be, different for example in how Suga did consider Suchwita as a space for promoting the members' work and I don't know if what I'm saying makes any sense but I wanted to share it with someone. Sorry for the long vent.

Honestly I can’t really speak for Tae because I’m not him but If I were to guess, I’d say he probably just wanted to hang out too and spend some time with Jimin and Jungkook and maybe he expected Jimin to atleast mention it to him but when Jimin didn’t, he probably felt a little bad. I don’t think it was too much of a big deal to be honest but maybe due to the way he usually communicates with Jimin, he kinda had expectations that Jimin would let him know.

This whole thing just got so blown out of proportion when the truth is, it isn’t a big deal at all.

Jkkrs are slowly becoming the vermin by pushing false narratives to match their perception of taehyung. It has come to a point whereby we are also starting to base reality of Jikook around villainizing Taehyung. It disappointing honestly to undermine a 10+ year relationship that vmin publicly claimed as soulmates just becuz of social media posts. I had this talk with some friends on discord but here is the thing. I may still care about V but I can understand why some people have washed their hands off of him. Too be honest it also annoyed me when Jm said Tae was mocking him when he was angry because it again reinforces this narrative that Tae was the selfish insensitive one in those fights. I honestly hate when they talk about that dumpling fight aswell, it just never felt like a cute funny story at all. Tae was exhausted and starving after a whole seperate gruelling schedule what was he supposed to do, not advocate for himself? And I get that they were all young and maybe Jm didn't get that he was being unreasonable but they all grown up now. If they are going to tell that story atleast tell it in a fair way that is not dismissive of the very real experience of the other person involved or just stop talking about it. It's boring and feels manipulative.

The dumpling fight is now a part of BTS lore so it’s always going to be there so I’m just going to be happy that they’ve finally come to the point where they’re admitting it was bad and not just a cute little disagreement over dumplings like it used to be even though they still discuss it in a lighthearted way. I get what you’re saying about Tae being labeled selfish but I want to but I want to be fair so I’ll give him that it’s possible Tae being mocking during the course of the fight that doesn’t really change my opinion because being mocked shouldn’t result in the kind of fight that even years after the details can’t be divulged for fear of hurting a person’s reputation.
