THE INFERNI’S HEAD FEELS SO STUFFED FULL OF COTTON THAT THE ONLY THING HE KNOWS FOR SURE IS HOW LITTLE HE WANTS TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION. his temples throb and his stomach roils uncomfortably even as he sits moodily in a plump armchair before @cordoliae, the second born prince, in chambers far more elaborate than fitting for the current state of simeon sommerfeld. although he's at least somewhat confident he won't be sick here, all he really wants is to tuck himself in bed with some biscuits and a spiked tea and sleep it all off. at least until the next time he feels the itch to make a mess of himself again. he hasn't bothered to try to cover the aroma of kvas that undoubtedly lingers around him, partially because he's confident it would be impossible and partially because the smell of liquor certainly conceals evidence of even less savory activities. not that he cares what nikolai notices. simeon is far too small a player in this world to matter anyway, and he can take care of himself.

not that it had felt like that when tolya dragged him practically by the scruff of his neck from the room he'd rented in a little inn just within the bounds of the inner city, while tamar bargained ( questionable ) promises of payment with the owner even for the privilege of allowing sim to leave at all. somehow, despite the state of him, he'd managed to flash a charming wink to the companion in his sheets who would undoubtedly expect a note from sim that would never come. simeon has no doubt the innkeeper would have tolerated and even welcomed his rowdy behavior – not least because he draws customers with his particular skill of becoming life of the party – if it weren't for the rather enormous unpaid bill he's racked up throughout his time in the city.

he could say he wasn't used to not having the funds, that in ketterdam his family's accounts were easily accessible and already had lines of credit extended to his frequented locations, that he'd been on a ship most of the time since and hadn't been prepared. but the truth is, he's not at all unaware of the hole he's been digging for himself since reaching the city. he likes the bitterness of its taste, the way it makes him feel untouchable one moment and chipped away the next. for all his posturing, he feels he deserves this moment, as well. he deserves nikolai's disapproval as much as he deserves this wretched hangover. in a way, he welcomes it like a foul-tasting tonic to combat sickness. in another, he remains steadfastly stubborn, his jaw squared, his eyes narrowed and arms crossed over his chest as he stares stonily at a spot on the gilded wall. never mind the sallow and pale state of his skin, never mind the fact that his hands would shake if he uncrossed his arms.

his eyes wander from his chosen spot on the wall to a bottle of brandy sitting temptingly on a cart not far away. it reminds him of the flask in his pocket, which suddenly seems so much heavier, so much more distracting. his jaw flexes again and he pulls his mug of tea closer to him on the tray beside him, pausing a moment before snatching the flask from its place and pouring a thumb of brandy into his delicate porcelain cup as though it's nothing. his gaze finally finds nikolai's, blue eyes hardening icily as if daring him to challenge his decision to remedy his state with more liquor. his stomach threatened to heave when he caught a whiff as he raised the teacup to his lips, but he forced it back, and once he managed to take a sip, his stomach seemed to calm almost immediately.

" it's not your concern, nikolai. I'm not important enough to be able to soil your reputation, nor will my habits affect your coffers. I've written to my mother, I'll have funds incoming shortly. " he doesn't mention anything about having already burned through far more than his cut of the spoils from his time on the volkvolny, but at this point, it seems rather pointless to discuss at all. nor does he see any point in mentioning that he's typically not so poor with his money ; such revelations will likely only lead to more questions he has no desire to answer. " I can take care of myself, I assure you. you're free to focus on your princely duties. courting the sun summoner. whatever it is you're up to these days. not that I see enough of you lately to know. " cutting, yes, but also not nearly as true as it should be for him to even bother bringing it up. even though it's likely she can't hear all the way outside the doors to nikolai's chambers, he can almost feel tamar's judgment. this all started when I downloaded a really old sim off MTS to edit and saw it came with a hair which was an alpha edit of the BG longsimple hair which I hadn't seen before- said alpha edit is credited as 'original texture from some post on this forum, please claim credit for i have forgotten which one', and nobody did actually claim credit for it as far as I can tell. I liked it enough, even though it's imperfect, to make my own edit of it combining it with my BG longsimple default, which itself is an edit of Aquil's alpha.

Then I thought to look on the database which other alpha edits were availible, and picked out c0nan21's tucked alpha, TheDerangedSim's shorter alpha, and Almighty Hat's Trapping twists retexture. I edited the former two to match my default, but haven't edited the alpha or texture of the twists version at all, just recoloured it.

Everything's TF-EF, Afterglow naturals family binned in one package each, fully compressorized, no meshes required, BG compatible, and has a volatile base in the zip (exept for the twists as it's really no different to Hat's volatile texture).

note- the sims in the previews are wearing makeup hairlines.

Another Vaguely Historical-Flavored CC Assortment

I bring you tidings of more stuff I wanted for my game. We've got a bit of everything: clothes, hairs, one (1) accessory. Meshes included for everything, everything should be tooltipped and binned and so on.

A Simple Dress: Cynnix's wide sleeve edit of Amaryll's summery dress, with flats, in 10 Shadowfell dye colors. The belt was yanked off that Rented-Space 3t2 celtic dress I love so much.

AF (also enabled for EF)/TF/CF. Categorized as everyday/formal/outerwear. Repository, CF/TF files require AF.

Wee Tunics: This Cynnix mesh with the little leather booties is my favorite for Veridia's bebes, but I only had one recolor, so I smushed Elliephant's excellent retexture of another Cynnix mesh onto it. All credit to Elliephant for their lovely retexture AND extremely useful PSD. <3 Comes in 8 Shadowfell colors.

PU, categorized as everyday.

Put A Brooch On It on @letomills's conversion of that IAmLiz dress to Lifa's trans bodyshape. Comes in those same five colors.

Jellymoo Dionne converted by PlatinumAspiration. Aren't those little braids adorable? I didn't fully retexture this one but did blend Nouk's afro texture over it. The bandana is Magpie's linen texture and is the same off-white shade on every hair color. For F sims.

I Got a Rock: two beaded necklaces on a Trapping mesh.

Trapping separated some necklaces from an Apartment Life outfit and I've been using one quite a lot because it reminds me of beaded necklaces I've seen while researching stuff for Veridia; here's two recolors of it. I wanted to make more, but I lost interest. Story of my life!

I’m a little nervous to share this! I’ve been toying with the idea for over a year to create my own hair textures, but it’s not as easy as it seems! I feel like I’ve finally come up with one I like and will use regularly.

Texture comes with a blend of Remi’s textures, Io’s extracted textures, Sunshine texture, and Lilith shine. Only straight textures currently, I'm still testing a wavy one that I think I like so far.

I finally firmly settled on a hair palette for my game, so here are a bunch of eyebrows to match it: Beccabear Brooke, Blahberry Pancake Unibrow 1, Digi KimJM, Ephemera 080620, Ephemera 091228, io Louhi, Lapink November, Lilith Straight, Liulai 02a, Remus Sirion 34, Vivi N1 and Zerodark HeyJude.

Details under the cut, the swatch and named previews are also included in the download.

I love the Pooklet-Digi-Io palette that @fakebloood uses (see here) but I don't actually use all of the colors on it. This is the selection I'll be sticking with:

[blacks: Dynamite, Landmine / browns: Caim, Sorath, Orias / blonds: Volatile, Grenade / reds: Copper, Ariel / greys: Pipebomb, Grenade, Mailbomb / + unbinned Naberius]

To be more exact that's the palette I'll be sticking to for hair: eyebrows are the same except they only get one black tone instead of Dynamite + Landmine.

All colors are binned except Naberius (Naberius eyebrows will therefore be available for all sims no matter their hair color). All are tooltipped and compressorized.

Since having Grenade as a grey is unusual, I took care to put elder Grenade on a separate file - separate from the "Grenade as blond for PU-AU" file that is. This way if you don't want Grenade for your elders, but you still want it as a blond for everyone else, you can just delete the "_grenade_EUgrey" file and you're good. EU is repo'd though, so if you do want grenade for EU, you need to also have it as blond for everyone else.

I got the base textures from @pooklet (this massive post), @simborg (this massive post), @serabiet (for Louhi) and @memento-sims (for the unibrow).

To keep file size as small as possible, I chose not to use bump maps (honestly in game it makes no visual difference that I can see anyway). No duplicate textures.

Let me know if you see anything wrong. I know this isn't the most varied selection ever, my bias for natural-looking eyebrows as opposed to highly stylized ones is definitely showing (this is a pretty selfish upload or I would have done the whole Fakeblood palette, I just didn't have the strength for it). Maybe I'll do more fun eyebrow shapes at a later date.

Hi all! I almost can't believe I've made hair recolors!! It's probably not gonna be a typical thing for me to do in the future, but sometimes you just see an excellent creation and you wanna do something to make it specifically tailored to your simming experience, you know?

I most certainly saw this hair on @oldasscustomcontent and was surprised to find it has (apparently) no recolors. I think this hair is awesome, I even had this very specific hairstyle at some point in my life (almost identical to Pooklet's Firework if anybody's curious). The textures are a little too true maxis-match to my liking so I took matters in my own hands to learn, in my opinion, one of the most intimidating things in content creation: retexturing hair. Turns out it's not all that difficult. Who knew?

So, what are you getting when you download this?

Natural hair palette includes Pooklet Family 2 (Shrapnel, Safety Fuse, Volatile and Pyrotechnic + Mail Bomb as gray) and Family 4 (Flash Powder, Brisance, Primer, Molotov + Pipe Bomb as gray). Gray is included in the black hair files so you need those if you want to have this hair available for elders.

Unnatural hairs include 25 colors, see swatch below for details. All of them are categorized as unbinned in CAS. I hand-picked eyebrow colors to match each swatch and I really like how that turned out lol.

Note: the shaved part of this hair has caused me great distress as I was editing it because sometimes it wouldn't display correctly in Bodyshop and CAS (the texture was either blurred or straight up invisible). Don't let that fool you, it looks great in-game and in most other situations! I also still have no idea why it does this. I hope no one will have real issues with that because I'd tried just about anything to fix it since I thought there was a real problem with the textures before I checked them in game and realized there was no issue in the first place. (I'm gonna pretend this didn't cause me any mental damage)

Gosh, look at this hair. Like Nightcrawler 14, but even cuter!

INFO: Retextures of Entropy-sims' 4t2 conversion of Nightcrawler's Stella hair for male and female, in Io’s/Pooklet’s textures and in both of their natural color palettes. Child-Elder. Binned, tooltipped, familied, compressorized. Non-existing toddler stage removed from all colors. Includes five optional custom greys + my 'Rose' color (see swatch below). Eyebrow color set as red for Rose, blonde for Timebomb, and black for the greys. *PLEASE NOTE: The meshes are included, but have been renamed to fit my personal organization scheme.
