I feel like Keith and Lance are both ND but in different ways. Keith is the kind of guy who would really like physical contact and words of affirmation as love languages. He's pretty good at telling Lance how he feels about him later in the series. He'd probably appreciate the lack of ambiguity and take things at face value/put trust in I love yous.

Meanwhile Lance grew up in a big family so they might not have had as much money. Receiving gifts was a really big deal for him growing up. I can imagine Keith giving Lance a cool blue shell he found at an alien market and being all confused, thinking Lance doesn't like it when he goes still. Like he wants to take it back and is disappointed that Lance doesn't like it. But he does, he's just a bit overwhelmed by the gesture. Trying to show why he thought getting some silly shell was a good idea, Keith meekly tells him to look at this pretty part of it, turning it over in Lance's hands, pointing out an opalescent part that's all different kinds of blues. Says it reminds him of Lance's eyes.

Lance says something like "How would you know what colour my eyes are" because eye contact is not Keith's forte, but there's no bite behind it, and Keith doesn't get the joke anyway, just looks nervous. Keith just says they're pretty, as if he couldn't not have noticed. Lance puts it down on his side table gently. Keith says "You don't like it?" Lance gives him a super tender kiss. They kiss for a while holding each other, and Keith hugs him, sighing with contentment into lance's shoulder. Says "Holding you feels like home" then Lance dies on the spot

oh btw haternation i have an unfortunate update. i started reading red white and royal blue because i was so baffled that the movie's actually going to be rated R that i needed to understand what that was about before it came out. so im reading it. and it's honestly not bad. it's fanfictiony and you have to kind of consciously enter the material on its terms and turn off your political brain--which is a pretty worthwhile critique in itself i think--but if youre able to do that it's kind of fun. Honestly im just glad it's about real adults and has actual gay sex lol most gay romcoms of this type aren't brave enough to go there

also, it's soooo funny seeing old old old drafts of voltron posts in my art blog. the drafts were from other voltron fans, and i guess i saved them for future drawing prompt ideas but i never got around to it

but the MOST hilarious thing is that, although most of the posts' OPs were deactivated, there was One post where the OP renamed their url and changed their icon to their new interest. but get this: it's of malleus draconia of twst fame

the voltron posts were of such a niche ship (im talking niiiiche) and for the two of us to end up both falling into twst is just hilarious to me

....Welp. Good riddance to bad rubbish then, I guess. Mutual I had disappeared off my dash about two weeks ago, out of fucking nowhere -- found out why. The damn hypocrite ADDED A RULE saying they'd unfollow if you "didn't match energy". AKA, if you didn't give them ALL OF YOUR ATTENTION.

And actually fucking rebageled SEVERAL things saying "Oh you don't have to worry about taking forever on replies".

And yet softblocked me cause I didn't get to replies fast enough because I have MAJOR FUCKING ADHD and my brain flits between shit A LOT.

I have in my rules I am not a fast replier. My mind has been hyperfixated on this crossover with Voltron and YGO -- Voltron in general actually.

So did you just leave your bag of dirt for your plant outside for a few months, then repot a plant only to find that a spider laid eggs in your dirt and now your room is filled with baby spiders that keep coming out the dirt. But you also like the plant to much to get rid of it and don’t have any more dirt left to repot so now you have a bunch of plant spiders in your room, free friends or food ?
