Finding really old art and the attempt to make my comic is surreal, I'm really glad I've taken my time redrawing and rewriting stuff because the quality with the writing and art since then have improved tremendously over 4-5 years and I'm really proud, 2019 vs 2023-2024

There have been at least 4 attempts to start the comic btw, each time I scratched stuff, and rewrote things to a major extent, but it's been a good learning experience and I'm more confident with where the story and character arcs are headed.

Problematic Yuri Tournament Season 2 - Round 1
I'm More Dangerous Than You vs. Let's Kill Your Husband
I'm More Dangerous Than You (manhua by An De)
Sexual Content: LOW; Gore: MODERATE; Violence: HIGH
Submitted 2 times.
Submitted problematic elements:
kidnapping, violence, stalking, obsessive love, murder
Age gap, university student and her teacher, the teacher literally kills people according to the students story, kidnaps her when she finds out, and tortures and threatens her
Submitted content warnings:
The scenes of murder themselves are pretty graphic, but it's nothing super gory. Pretty heavy sexual coersion, violence and abuse
Submitted propaganda:
This is very much a "what if your deep dark violent phantasies were actually fulfilled (including consequences)" type story, and it does it well
Let's Kill Your Husband (manhwa by Kim Hyeon-Jin and Okuda Hideo)
Sexual Content: NONE; Gore: NONE; Violence: HIGH
Submitted problematic elements:
Teehee, these two did morally questionable things to others while planning the murder ig.
Submitted content warnings:
Domestic Abuse, Misogyny, Murder
Submitted propaganda:
I LOVE IT WHEN WOMEN PLAN TO MURDER THEIR FRIEND'S PEACE-OF-SHIT HUSBAND AND GET AWAY WITH IT. YAYYAYAY

Catching Up: Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo (Ep 6)
Other Reacts: Ep 1 Ep 2 Ep 3 Ep 4 Ep 5
I've been doing a lot of pondering. It's very apparent that the show is going to keep revealing tidbits from the past. And both of our men still have significant baggage they need to work through so that our adult romance can reach a healthy stage. With three episodes to go, working through those missing tidbits is going to be key.
So what information are we still missing?
What went down between Hyeon-ho and Do-hoe as teenagers?
What happened to Do-hoe's plan of being an architect? Did he change majors in college? Did he become an architect but change later? The latter is my prediction (the money talks).
What has went down between Hyeon-ho and Do-hoe across the last 12 years? That relationship is complicated at best.
Where are Ju-yeong's adoptive parents in this picture? Did they fully abandon him once he reached adulthood? Quite possible.
What else happened between Do-hoe and Ju-yeong as teenagers? Even though the flashback last episode didn't show us anything new, I'm betting there are still a few more reveals to be had.
What exactly was going on between Ju-yeong and Grandmaster on exam day? I still think he was protecting Do-hoe.
Why exactly does Ju-yeong want the gym? I'm also very curious about the full scope of the relationship Ju-yeong had pursued with the Grandmaster. I don't know that we'll get more info about it though.
Also, I'd really love it if the garlic ice cream came back at least once now that they are adults.
Here's where we left off:
Which I'm bringing back up because it's such a good shot. We have Do-hoe in the light. It's Do-hoe and Hyeon-ho vs. Ju-yeong yet again. They are positioned above Ju-yeong. Ju-yeong is in the dark, frenemy has some light around them, and Do-hoe has light on his face. Hyeon-ho is physically standing between them. It's just such a good representation of their current relationships and level of understanding of what all is at play. I really do feel like this series deserves a post about all of the excellent symbolic camerawork. Maybe once I'm done watching all of the episodes.
Anyways. Onward to Episode 6!
So Do-hoe definitely left Ju-yeong on read. Not surprising, but not encouraging. The fact that Hyeon-ho is making a reservation for two directly after this exchange is interesting too. It means Do-hoe made the decision after Ju-yeong's text. There's a lot of ways this could be taken. Is he trying to have a good conversation and close things out with Hyeon-ho? The night before definitely wasn't the time for that. Or is there something more underlying this decision?
NO! Something's up with my precious genius baby boy. Is he stressed from academic pressure? being abused? I know I don't have all of the facts, but I'm about to go nuclear on someone's parents.
🥺 Using ice cream to connect and protect the kid. You might think you've moved on Do-hoe, but Ju-yeong's influence remains. Also - don't think I've missed the fact that you are "interfering" in this situation. Wait. If he's going for ice cream....does that mean the dinner Hyeon-ho is having ISN'T with him?
Guess I was wishing too hard. He's out with Hyeon-ho. Hyeon-ho wants food, not drinks. He's not ceding the race yet.
How many times are we going to watch Ju-yeong spring up from his bed? At least we didn't get this coffin shot again. We're up to at least 3, if not 4, times of watching parts of that scene though.
And now we're back to the shot we left episode 5 on.
There's my RED Rascal energy. It's telling that he's asking Hyeon-ho this question and not Do-hoe. LMAO. I actually love Hyeon-ho's response. He walks away (guaranteed to tick Ju-yeong off more). He then says he "slept over". In reality, Hyeon-ho knows he has no place in this pissing contest. Do-hoe already rejected him last night. However, he's not letting Ju-yeong win. I kinda love that energy if I'm being honest. I do feel bad about my amusement though, because this is feeding directly into all of Ju-yeong's insecurities.
Such an interesting question 👀. Ju-yeong is saying they should get close. Do-hoe didn't like this response. We follow it with Hyeon-ho's "I know him better than you do". And facts are - he does. He knows the adult Do-hoe FAR better than Ju-yeong does at this point.
I love the framing here with Do-hoe in background between these two. That said, Ju-yeong isn't playing. He's stepped into the space. Hyeon-ho's egging him on. I find it particularly interesting that Hyeon-ho asked this question. It's 100% meant to remind Do-hoe that Ju-yeong has "violent" tendencies. This question is really designed to get a response out of Do-hoe not Ju-yeong. If I had all the time in the world, I would go back through every question asked in this show after I finished watching to analyze it. Questions are very purposeful in this script. Our genius boy told you so.
LMAO. The question worked. Ju-yeong rose to the bait, and Do-hoe scolds him. It's Do-hoe's first time speaking since the pissing contest began. It also reminds me of the scene from Star in My Mind where Daonuea gets mad at Kleun/Typhoon for fighting, but only yells at Kleun even though he didn't like Typhoon kissing him.
As Typhoon says in that show, it shows you who really matters. If someone isn't worth the energy to counter or argue with, it says a lot about the relationship. I don't call people out unless I REALLY want to do so. Do-hoe scolding Ju-yeong shows a lot. Namely, he's the one that Do-hoe worries about.
And we're back in the car learning that Do-hoe refused to go to dinner with Hyeon-ho. He's saying they need to "end this". Hyeon-ho points out they hadn't even started anything. This feels like a codependent relationship where Hyeon-ho has always wanted more and Do-hoe knew it. I have multiple theories about what happened between them in high school. Anyways, codependency is hard to end. Hyeon-ho is going to struggle with Do-hoe's choices here. I do appreciate that Do-hoe is being very direct with him.
Do-hoe's head is probably just hurting from the stress of dealing with all of this. It's a lot to take in. But I'd be lying if I didn't say alarm bells go off ANYTIME a character in dramaland has a drawer of medicine and takes headache medicine on more than one occasion. I do love that Ju-yeong asks him if he's okay.
Do-hoe's method of "reassurance" doesn't really help resolve Ju-yeong's feelings that something is going on. BUT it is another confirmation that Do-hoe pretty much saves this part of himself for Ju-yeong.
I'm loving that Ju-yeong isn't letting things slide. "We haven't had a proper talk yet." This actually bodes well. It would be very easy to try and sweep the pain and problems under the rug and pretend they don't exist. It's incredibly easy to ignore the underlying issues when both people want each other and want the relationship. However, it brings a lot of unease into the mix. That's personal experience speaking.
And that's architectural drawings on the wall. Not surprised that he went into architecture. I am surprised that the drawings are still hanging on his wall. That's something to mull over.
So many questions being asked here. Ju-yeong wants to fill in the unknown of the last 12 years. "Ha Hyeonho knows everything. I want to know too." It's valid. Knowing someone's past tells you a lot about how their perspectives and worldview came to be. In a relationship, it can be very helpful for understanding your partner.
This dialogue is delicious. "Time can only move forward. It won't turn back." "But the past can still be repeated." "The winter we broke up is gone, but it's winter now again."
Don't worry boys - the ice cream hasn't melted. Y'all are obviously still hung up on each other. That said - I'm trying not to take this "the past can be repeated" as a warning sign of some kind of break up to come.
One - Do-hoe being all smooth is hot as hell. Two - Do-hoe thinks he's asking about the present, but he keeps using the word "still". He's comparing to the past. Three - Unlike Do-hoe, Ju-yeong is answering the questions. Four - It feels important that Do-hoe refused to let Ju-yeong drive him in the van and said he could use his car. There's a lot of ways that can be taken. Some positive like trust and sharing. It's downright domestic. However, there are also MANY negative reasons. I'm fearing it's the latter.
The chapstick is back (in the past). But more importantly, that was a beautiful juxtaposition between the current love scene and them as teens. The difference in energy and emotions between the two scenes tells us a lot.
The difference in the AFTER is stark. Back as teens, they were on the same page. They were close and snuggling under the blanket (hidden from the world but protected from the cold). Now, their relationship can be out in the open. But there are no blankets of protection here. They are looking at each other, but not at the same time. They're still out of sync. There's still space between them.
Ju-yeong's obviously feeling the space. It's why he's asking to spar. He says he feels "weird and anxious". This might be the first time she seems like a friend to me. She tells him to "do whatever he can".
However, if we're being honest, the only reason the relationship has came this far is because of his actions. Both as a teen and now. It's not like he was complacent. He refuses to let Do-hoe walk away. He confronts him. He reaches out to hold onto him. In a lot of ways, he's a relentless battering ram to Do-hoe's walls. Problem is that he's likely to get cut by the flying debris.
So buying the gym is for Do-hoe's sake. Whether Do-hoe would regret it or not is debatable. However, since Do-hoe isn't actively dealing with his past, it's possible he would regret it later.
The condescension is back. "Better" is never a good word when someone is sharing their memories with you. If Do-hoe starts flaunting his money, this is going to make Ju-yeong uncomfortable. However, I could see Do-hoe perceiving it as providing the things he (they?) didn't get to have as teens (Not 100% sure how wealthy Ju-yeong was then. He definitely had more money than Do-hoe as a teen.)
Ah, I was right. That's untreated trauma speaking. However, it's definitely going to cause a rift. Ju-yeong wants to be equals. This is the "being looked down on" in reverse from their teenage years. Do-hoe called him out on it as a teen, but will Ju-yeong call him out on it as an adult? I'm not sure.
There's that word again - "interfere". However, we know that Do-hoe has already involved himself to an extent. Was this to prevent Ju-yeong from potentially causing trouble? or does he really think they should stay silent? It could go either way.
And then we have Do-hoe buying him a new wallet. That's a direct hit. Wallets often symbolize luck and prosperity. So giving him a new one COULD be perceived as a good thing if this was a gift from a first paycheck or some other type of occasion. But like this? It's going to feel like an insult.
Ju-yeong is meeting Gwang-mo's mom. Is this the cafe they went to as teens?
Is this a translation issue? I'm not sure how to take the "friend I like" being said to someone who isn't particularly close. I'm not going to read into it.
Let's focus instead on the fact that Do-hoe's drawing is FAMOUS. If he drew it for graduation, that means there is a date connected to college. If Ju-yeong hadn't already put it together that Do-hoe lied about the exam, then I bet this is going to be a tip off.
Yep. There are dates. Ju-yeong must be reeling. This meant Do-hoe lied to him. This meant there was more to what happened back then, and Do-hoe purposely abandoned him. 😢I'm sorry Sunshine. That's gotta hurt. Of course, he had already seen the exam results earlier. This is just the final piece of the puzzle.
Dang. Do-hoe isn't playing. I hadn't mentioned the cross necklace, but he took it off in whichever episode he first kissed Do-hoe (ep 2?) and then again last episode after they kissed again. It's symbolic. I wasn't 100% sure what it was symbolic of so I didn't mention it. His religion? His adoptive parents? Any interpretation I try is going to be heavily influenced by my upbringing. It's best to let this one reveal itself. That said - to bring it up when Ju-yeong is wanting to talk about the gym. It's very personal.
I have no idea what to screenshot in this conversation. There's so much here. Neither of them are wrong. Neither of them are right. It's two clashing perspectives where they both desperately want the other to understand their viewpoint. And they're both hurt. Badly.
See...Ju-yeong thinks there's a brick wall here too. I could lean heavy into that metaphor, but I'll keep it simple. I don't want to cry. The distance is real. When one person refuses to talk...well, it's hard. 🥺
So much meaning hidden in these lines. Ju-yeong is saying that Do-hoe has changed. He no longer welcomes the sunlight and simple things. There's more to it, but that's an entire ass essay. For Do-hoe, this is him saying he wishes he could ignore Ju-yeong. That he wishes Ju-yeong was no longer the same person he loved. That he wishes Ju-yeong would just walk away or leave. But he's the same. Ju-yeong is still going to interfere. He's still going to cross the line. Even if he's getting physically beat (as a teenager). Even if he's getting emotionally beat up (as an adult). 😭
😭 No words. Just pain. For both of them. The hard thing is that I actually understand where both of them are coming from. Is this one direct hit too many? Even a battering ram can break. 😭😭😭
Crap. Ju-yeong definitely left.
For a man that doesn't like "interfering", he "interferes" a lot. It's very telling. I think he probably admires the way Ju-yeong keeps interfering on a deeper level. It's probably part of what made him fall for him. However, when it's someone else interfering then he's not in control. Do-hoe is definitely someone that needs a lot of control over his own life and situation. He always will. Trauma doesn't disappear.
Confirmation that he majored in engineering. We already knew that though. And Gwang-mo's mom is here....he's interfering isn't he?
I'm back to thinking that I'm probably supposed to like Miss Boss. I don't. However, Ju-yeong is "eager to leave" this fine meal. Is he going after Do-hoe? or is something else afoot? JU-YEONG! DON'T YOU DARE PAY FOR THIS MEAL.
Yep. Do-hoe is interfering. They have a CCTV in Gwang-mo's room?!?! Now I'm having Piece flashbacks. That show's got to be over 10 years old. Not important. "I just want to sleep and never wake up". NO!!! 😡 Someone save my genius baby. 😭😭 Great. Mommy is a professor at the fancy pants university. Something there.
Hyeon-ho wants to talk. Do-hoe says no. Do-hoe NOT wanting to talk? That's not shocking at all.
The one that takes initiative is the one that wins (in this case). Ju-yeong isn't waiting for Do-hoe to be ready to talk to approach him. Just like showing up at his house earlier, Ju-yeong doesn't ask. He comes after him. If these were different characters, I might be all over him for boundary-crossing. BUT it's just like I say with neurodivergent characters. The rules are different. The rules are different when trauma is in play too.
Someone like Do-hoe NEEDS someone like Ju-yeong. Someone who isn't rebuffed, who bounces back, who continues seeping his way into any crack or opening he can. He's not being overly aggressive or insensitive. In fact, he brought a car that isn't the van. He's trying to meet Do-hoe in the middle. But he's not letting Do-hoe go into hiding.
And Do-hoe cracks a smile. 🥰🥰🥰 He can't put the wall (completely) back up. "Are you good at driving?" We already had that question earlier too. I'm going to tear up.
"I won't talk about things that you don't like to hear anymore". I'm not sure that's a permanent solution, but it's the only one that is going to help you move forward for now. Talking about it does no good until Do-hoe is willing to talk.
And now we're going to go drive around Seoul TOGETHER in the same car. Do-hoe is smiling. 🫠 I'm melting.
Whose GPS are we seeing? It's got Walden Law Firm and Dohoe Takewondo. Is this where they end up driving to? Is it Hyeon-ho's? OHH! Wait. Ju-yeong was eating with Miss Former Boss this MORNING. It's definitely NIGHT now. It's definitely Ju-yeong's GPS. Boy has been busy. The only question is...busy doing exactly what? Let the pondering begin.

CTS-B | Week12 Compulsory Question 2
Beyond aesthetics, I believe design has the ability to influence societal change.
"Let my designs inspire change, not just aesthetics." encapsulates the notion that design should have a beneficial influence and inspire social change in addition to being aesthetic. As a designer seeking social involvement, this menifesto represents the responsibility to develop design that benefits society rather than only emphasising aesthetic qualities.
Based on these objectives, I will use two case studies—the modified Hanbok and Tony's Chocolonely—to analyse the significance of design for social responsibility and positive transformation. Using these two examples, I will examine how design satisfies social duty and has a beneficial effect in this piece.
The first example is the modified Hanbok, which takes a contemporary approach to reinterpreting the classic Hanbok.

However, there are also some people who disagree with this. They contend that the modified hanbok loses its traditional charm due to its gaudy exterior. Some respond by saying that it is a "Hanbok of unknown nationality from the materials," that modern hanboks are strange, and that traditional hanboks from the past are better.
Rejecting change outright and reacting negatively to it is not a good idea. At the same time, though, it is unacceptable to change hanbok drastically that even the nation's own citizens are unable to comprehend its original customs and heritage. With this viewpoint, designers should be more accountable and look for paths that can result in constructive change rather than just producing attractive designs.
The second one is Tony's Chocolonely, which addresses the unfair problems in the chocolate industry through social responsibility. This company wants to end unfair trade practices and slave labour in the chocolate sector and wants that all workers are treated fairly and upholds fair trade principles. The company unevenly divided chocolate pieces represent unfairness in the industry, and the packaging design's message promotes ethical consumption and social responsibility.
Furthermore, this brand reminds customers of the value of ethical consumption by using eco-friendly packaging and adhering to sustainable design principles.
The modified hanbok adds sophistication and functionality while modernising traditional Korean attire. By honouring Korea's cultural legacy and developing into a modern style, the modern hanbok contributes to the sustainability of tradition, maintains their customs and promotes involvement.
Tony's Chocolonely focusses on paying producers a fair price in order to fulfil its social responsibility through fair trade. In keeping with what the brand upholds, this sends a message to customers encouraging ethical consumption and constructive change for a better society.
I created this Hyundai decal to highlight how crucial environmental preservation is. In keeping with Hyundai's environmentally conscious principles, I want to encourage people to appreciate and ponder about nature.

These give me a clear understanding of how design can be more than just a beautiful aesthetic; it can also be a tool that actually affects change. In the future, I would like to continue to contribute to driving social participation and change through design.

🕶️ (from baby)
🕶️ : first impressions vs current ——— accepting asks!
hyeon has always been impressed by baby. but, having met when they were both still active idols, he did have some preconceived notions about her: assuming that she would be a diva, assuming that she would want nothing to do with him, assuming that she would be high maintenance and difficult to deal with. for this reason, it was a while before he actually tried to get to know her; but once he did, he was pleasantly surprised by everything that he found her to be, resulting in him writing an affectionate song about her. he thinks the world of her, and nowadays considers her to be one of his best friends—which speaks volumes, considering how picky he is with his social circle! they're quite different people, but that's part of why he likes having her as a friend so much, and he's endlessly proud as he watches her succeed in yuseong despite recent hardships.

ONCE UPON A SMALL TOWN // KDRAMA DİZİ YORUMU
UYARI : Yazılar genel olarak spoiler içerebilir. İçermeyedebilir.
İmdb: 7 Benim Puanım: 7
Drama: Once Upon a Small Town (English title) / Accidental Country Diary (literal title)
Hangul: 어쩌다 전원일기
Director: Kwon Seok-Jang
Writer: Park Ha-Min (web novel), Baek Eun-Kyung
Date: 2022
Language: Korean
Country: South Korea
Cast: Joy, Choo Yeong-Woo, Baek Sung-Chul

Celebrity. 셀러브리티. 7.6/10
I would recommend this drama to my friends. I wouldn't rewatch this drama.
Omg Kang Min Hyuk, I've missed you! Lovely to see Lee Sang Yoon and Bora. Wait Junho showing up was so funny to me, and unexpected.
I like the Ari& logo. I love a show where we like the protagonist. I really do appreciate how easily and honestly Ari apologizes and gives thanks in the beginning. I'm glad Yoon Si Hyeon was likable until the end. I did like that agree/ugly comment from Ari.
Ari's mom is such a Korean mom I both love to see it and hate it. Every time Jin Tae Jeon says his own name, it disgusts me. He disgusts me. Kim Min Chan is also a dick. God the cockroaches freak me out.
It's so emotionally taxing to let one person or an industry or an entity of sorts, lol, have so much control over your sense of worth and happiness. Whether it's love, obsession, or hate, it's all so tiring. Everyone's emotions are so heightened here. Calm down. Spending time and energy to destroy others is also such a waste. Move on. Cyberbullying and online hate, and the passion for it, I really can't comprehend it, and thinking about it kinda stresses me out. The concept of fame is so interesting sometimes. There's def a difference bw liking being liked vs liking fame. How does the ambition for fame really fan itself out in so many people?
Did I miss something or did they not address it? Why was mom in jail? and did we ever figure out why exactly Si Hyeon and Jun Kyung broke up?
