An alchemist and a creature the last of his kind. A vanished, golden-mouthed prince. A failed hunt. A collection of six short fiction pieces set within the same universes as my other works, such as Starborne and Mordlust.

S Y N O P S I S 

Accused of using witchcraft to awaken the Serpent Prince from his eternal rest, the young lector Maude Liebreich is set to be executed. Her life is vouched for and spared under the promise that she is the only one able to restore him to slumber. 

She is kept under watch as the newly exalted head of the once-fallen Seventh Great Order of Healers. Having escaped the an early grave once more, Maude must now work to discover not only the true nature of the Serpent Prince’s return but of her own birth.

maude liebreich ; an adept at fleeing death residing in a small priory on the outskirts of the kingdom of cymheim. 

anja liebreich ; a witch under the sixth great order of conjurers, long believed dead after she was taken to the capital. 

siegmar vogt ; maude’s retainer under the fifth great order of watchers and raised in the capital’s unhanded faith. 

heiko von eistier ; a wildgrave under the fifth great order of watchers with megalomaniac plans to displace a general.
